Additional Inheritance - Chap 64
Chapter 64
Trigger warning: Violence
Luo Yi took Wen Xiaohui back to the villa. It used to be his favourite place, but it was now the opposite – the place he hated the most because the whole villa seemed to be laughing at his stupidity.
Luo Yi put his arm around Wen Xiaohui’s shoulders. “I grew up here, but it only felt like home once you appeared.”
Wen Xiaohui pushed him away and he replied cautiously, “When can I go home?”
“Chang Xing’s application for bail is going to be successful. There are two possibilities when he’s released – the first possibility is that he’ll come to find me to ‘settle things privately’ because I have evidence that will put him behind bars for life. The other possibility is to abscond. If it’s the latter, I’ll let you go home soon.”
“What if it’s the former?” Wen Xiaohui asked through gritted teeth, “Don’t tell me you’re going to lock me up for the rest of my life?”
“I want to keep you safe.”
“Bullshit!” Wen Xiaohui said harshly, “You were the one who dragged me into your dispute and you were the one who kept me in the most dangerous place. You tricked me into becoming Chang Xing’s hostage, so why are you pretending to be nice? It’s fucking disgusting!”
Luo Yi said indifferently, “I’m not pretending to be nice, I might have done so in the past, but I’m not pretending now. I’m not a good person, but no one else will love you more than me.”
“You’ve no right to use that word!” Wen Xiaohui replied furiously, “As if you deserve to mention the word ‘love’! Your concept of love is to lie to me repeatedly, use me, and hand me over to your enemy as a hostage. Luo Yi, you’re mad. You’re not human.”
“I said before that I wasn’t sure what love is, but I need you by my side. I want to be able to see you every hour of the day. I want you to be part of my life. I want you to be mine, I won’t be able to cope if you smile at someone else.” Unexpectedly, Luo Yi’s loving gaze seemed incomparable.
“Am I not your ‘plaything’? Do you ever tell the truth?!”
“I said it for them to hear.” Luo Yi quietly sighed. “Xiaohui-ge, when I first met you, I wanted to use three million yuan to pay you off, but you… Why were you so nice to me? You never doubted me and it didn’t take long for you to treat me as family. Maybe you thought that someone like me was extraordinary, but in my opinion, you’re the one who is extraordinary. You’re so dumb, my mind won’t be at ease unless I watch over you.”
Wen Xiaohui clenched his fists. He wished that he could break Luo Yi’s nasal bridge. It was true that he was stupid – he treated his sister’s son as family with open arms, and in the end, he even fell for him. He fell in love with a monster who didn’t have feelings. He was dead stupid!
Luo Yi grabbed Wen Xiaohui’s fist and gently unfurled his fingers. “I know you hate me. I thought my plan was foolproof, I never expected you’d get hurt. In future, I’ll never put you in danger. I’ll make it up to you.”
Wen Xiaohui felt a chill all over his body. He wanted to tell Luo Yi that his hatred resulted from his repeated lying and using him, and not his nose, but there was no need for that. Regardless of the reason, there was no way he could forgive Luo Yi. He couldn’t even entertain the idea of revenge, because he was frightened of Luo Yi and just wanted to get away from him.
He wanted to pull his hand away, but Luo Yi gripped it tightly.
Luo Yi pulled Wen Xiaohui into his arms, lowering his head to kiss him on the lips. The kiss was gentle, but the hand that held his waist and the back of his head was immovable like a set of metal pliers. Wen Xiaohui tried to push his chest away, but it was futile. Luo Yi used the tip of his tongue to wedge his way between Wen Xiaohui’s teeth. His nimble tongue invaded, swirling possessively inside Wen Xiaohui’s mouth.
Wen Xiaohui felt something soft and bit down hard on it. Luo Yi flinched as a result of pain, but instead of pulling back, he doubled down and sucked Wen Xiaohui’s lips roughly. The kiss tinged with the coppery taste of blood made his scalp tingle.
Luo Yi didn’t release Wen Xiaohui until he nearly couldn’t breathe.
Wen Xiaohui glared at him awkwardly and fearfully.
Luo Yi felt a little shocked. He whispered, “Are you scared of me?”
Wen Xiaohui replied in a hoarse voice, “Do you even care?”
“Don’t be scared of me…” Luo Yi nuzzled his head on Wen Xiaohui’s shoulder. “Everyone’s scared of me, but you’re not allowed to be scared of me.”
“Bastard, let me go.” Wen Xiaohui gnashed his teeth.
“I won’t let you go. Do you know how tiring it is to pretend to be your obedient nephew? Do you think I’m the Luo Yi who is considerate and gentle – the one who wouldn’t do anything against your wishes? That’s not me.” Luo Yi’s hand stroked Wen Xiaohui’s backbone an inch at a time, exerting an amount of force that showed his possessiveness. “I want you, you’re not allowed to go anywhere. That’s who I am.”
Wen Xiaohui felt as if a venomous snake had coiled around him. Feeling absentminded, he still couldn’t believe that the person that he liked, Luo Yi, was the person in front of him.
Luo Yi kissed his forehead tenderly. “Go have a shower. I’ll make your favourite omurice.”
Wen Xiaohui pushed him away. He turned and ran upstairs.
—————————————–
Luo Yi’s bedroom was as he remembered, but the relationship between them had changed beyond recognition. Wen Xiaohui leaned against the door. He was too afraid to open his eyes because there were too many memories throughout the room – resting on the bed to play computer games, lying on the rug while chatting, examining the unusual items inside the display cabinet, and having intense sex on the bed. Each of the sweet and happy memories belonged to the two of them. It was too scary – this place was way too scary. His heart was subjected to a death of a thousand cuts.
He rushed into the bathroom to take a cold shower. However, his overheated brain didn’t cool down at all. When he left the bathroom, he automatically opened the wardrobe, but tragically, he found his clothes hanging undisturbed in the wardrobe. It wasn’t just his clothes, all his other belongings could be found in this place. There was evidence everywhere that he used to live there.
He changed his clothes and sat hugging his knees at the top of the bed. He wanted to curl up in his own world, so he wouldn’t be disturbed by outsiders. This was the only way he could get a minute’s peace.
Luo Yi didn’t grant his wish.
The door opened, bringing with it the sound of footsteps entering the bedroom and the down-to-earth and homely flavours of the omurice.
Luo Yi made him omurice on his first visit, but nowadays when he smelled these flavours, he felt it was full of mockery and pain.
Putting the tray on the bedside cabinet, Luo Yi sat down on the bed and caressed Wen Xiaohui’s hair. “Is your nose sore? You should take some painkillers.”
Wen Xiaohui froze – he didn’t even want to raise his head.
“What do I need to do to make you less angry? How about I chop his hands off?”
Wen Xiaohui raised his head and said harshly, “Why don’t you cut the tendons in your own wrist?”
Luo Yi looked at him calmly for a few seconds, then he bent over to open the drawer of the bedside cabinet. Surprisingly, there was an army knife lying inside. He grabbed the knife and aimed it at his left wrist without hesitating.
Wen Xiaohui was very shocked, he instinctively pushed him hard. The blade pierced Luo Yi’s flesh, leaving a gash on his lower arm.
The blood splattered, dyeing the bedsheets and the rug red. A few drops fell on Wen Xiaohui’s leg – it felt so hot that he thought he was going to be scalded.
Cold sweat broke out on Luo Yi’s forehead. “What’s the problem? Don’t you want to see it?”
Wen Xiaohui slapped him hard across the face. “Get the hell out!” His eyes felt warm and a gush of despair welled up in his heart. What kind of psycho did he provoke?!
Luo Yi glanced at him with eyes that seemed so deep that they were bottomless before he dropped the knife. He pressed on the acupuncture point to stop the bleeding. He said calmly, “You should eat your dinner.”
“Piss off…” Wen Xiaohui’s voice trembled as he said, “Piss off!”
“I want to see you finish your dinner.” Luo Yi smiled: “It’s not a deep wound, so don’t be afraid.”
Wen Xiaohui flipped the omurice onto the floor. He replied sternly, “I told you to get lost!”
Seeing the steaming hot rice spill all over the floor, Luo Yi’s lips quivered and a trace of despair passed through his eyes. He said quietly, “I think that was the best one I’ve ever made.”
Wen Xiaohui bit his lip as he looked at Luo Yi’s arm that was dripping with blood. He developed a splitting headache.
Luo Yi lowered his head and he stayed silent for a bit before he said, “Xiaohui-ge, is there a chance that you might forgive me? You can ask me to do anything.”
Wen Xiaohui buried his face deep in his knees.
Luo Yi bent over, unable to stop himself from clutching at his chest. He looked rather pale. Then, he stood up straight as he gripped his wrist and left the bedroom.
Wen Xiaohui tugged hard on his hair – he felt as though the whole world had gone mad.
He didn’t know how long had passed before Luo Yi came back, bringing with him a bowl of noodles. His tone of voice was back to the usual dull and nonchalant tone. “You should eat, you haven’t eaten all day.”
Wen Xiaohui continued to bury his head in his knees.
Luo Yi said tenderly, “If you don’t eat, I’ll feed it to you using my mouth. I’m a man of my word.”
Wen Xiaohui clenched his teeth and lifted his head. The rims of his eyes looked swollen and red.
Luo Yi passed him the noodles. He noticed that Luo Yi’s wrist had already been bandaged.
Wen Xiaohui appeared stiff as he took the bowl of noodles – he started to eat it as if he were a robot. His stomach had been starved for a day and the instant it came into contact with food, his receptors sent signals of pain to his brain. It was nothing because pain just made him feel numb. His nose, his brain, and his heart – there wasn’t anywhere that wasn’t howling in pain.
Luo Yi watched Wen Xiaohui eat half a bowl of noodles before he let out a sigh. He smiled and said, “Actually, I would really like to feed you.”
Wen Xiaohui put the bowl on the bedside cabinet and stared at Luo Yi coldly.
Luo Yi combed Wen Xiaohui’s fairly long hair. “You’ve lost so much weight, I really want to fatten you up a bit.”
Wen Xiaohui brushed his hand away; he turned over and hopped off the bed.
“Where are you going?”
“To sleep.”
Luo Yi pulled him back. “You have to sleep on this bed.”
Wen Xiaohui glared at him in rage.
“You can sleep downstairs if you’d like, but we’ll have to squeeze into a 1.5m bed. I don’t mind.” Luo Yi looked at him: “We used to sleep together like that.”
Wen Xiaohui glared at him, but he was helpless and after struggling internally for three seconds, he climbed back onto the bed and slipped under the duvet.
Luo Yi smiled and he also got into bed. He went inside the covers, hugging Wen Xiaohui from behind.
Wen Xiaohui’s whole body froze, as if a venomous snake was stuck to his face.
“Look how thin you are.” Luo Yi kissed his earlobe. “When I hug you, you seem as light as a feather.”
Wen Xiaohui closed his eyes, wanting to pretend that the person behind him didn’t exist. Luo Yi’s warm and broad chest, strong arms, and his familiar scent caused all the memories to come flooding back. It made him feel even more nervous.
Luo Yi hugged him tightly around the waist. “I only realised how much I like to hug you like this once you’d left. Your body is so warm and soft, and you like to cling onto my waist. You used to like asking me to put it in quickly, kissing me as you pulled my trousers down. You taste so good, I want to swallow you into my tummy.”
Wen Xiaohui clenched his fists and he used all his strength to close his eyes. Perhaps at this moment, remaining silent was the only way to protect himself.
Luo Yi kissed him on the nape. “I hope to see you smile at me again someday.” His voice was filled with sadness.
