After Pretending To Have Amnesia, My Rival Said I Was His Boyfriend - Chap 5
On that day, Ling Yunfan returned to his rental room at two in the morning after finishing work at the bar. The bathroom had no water heater, so he took a shivering cold shower. Just as he lay down in bed, there was a loud banging on the door.
The sound echoed through the small room, startling Ling Yunfan. Before he could react, the old wooden door was kicked open by three menacing men. Two of them rushed over to him, grabbed his wrists tightly, and dragged him out of bed.
A short, fat man with a face full of flesh turned on the room’s light and walked up to Ling Yunfan. He asked contemptuously, “Do you know why we’re looking for you?”
Knowing the situation, Ling Yunfan didn’t resist them. “I’ll pay back the 3,000 yuan tomorrow when I get my salary,” he said.
The fat man slapped Ling Yunfan hard across the face and roared, “3,000 yuan? Are you kidding me, beggar? Do you even know how much you owe us?”
Ling Yunfan’s head jerked to the side from the force of the blow. He coughed twice and tasted the metallic tang of blood in his mouth.
The man lit a cigarette, the pungent smoke filling the crowded room. He looked at Ling Yunfan, his tone changing as he spoke slowly, “Actually, I’m not here to make things difficult for you. I want to offer you a job that pays well. If you accept it, you can pay off your debts within two years. What do you say?”
Ling Yunfan forced himself to stay calm. “What kind of job?” he asked.
“Oh, it’s nothing difficult,” the fat man replied, taking the cigarette out of his mouth and eyeing Ling Yunfan. He clicked his tongue and said, “Just… accompany someone.”
Ling Yunfan is just a college student and doesn’t understand the dirty things that happen in secret,” he wondered. “I’m a man, and I’m an alpha.”
The man sneered and patted Ling Yunfan’s face. “Be glad you’re an alpha. Many big bosses want to play with an alpha, taming an alpha is more fun than taming a beta or an omega. Plus, there are very few alphas like you at your level, and rarity makes things valuable. The bosses are willing to pay more to play with you.”
“Speaking of which…” The man pinched Ling Yunfan’s cheek and looked left and right with a sneer. “When I first saw you, I knew your face would fetch a good price.”
Upon hearing this, Ling Yunfan’s face turned pale.
“Take him downstairs to the car,” the man with a fat face ordered, not allowing any objections.
“Brother,” Ling Yunfan suddenly spoke up and affectionately called out, “I understand. I’ll go with you, but tell them to let go of me. Don’t drag me, the staircase outside is narrow, and two people can’t walk side by side. We might bump into each other and fall down.”
The man narrowed his eyes and looked at Ling Yunfan with a sharp gaze, like a poisonous iron hook.
Ling Yunfan said, “There are three of you, and there’s only one door in this room. If I run, I have nowhere to go.”
The man chuckled, blew smoke in Ling Yunfan’s face, and sneered, “What’s wrong? Are you ready to play so soon? Do you want people to hurry up and play with you?”
Ling Yunfan hung his head and said, “As you can see, I live like a dog. I can’t stand it anymore. I want to repay my debts quickly and live a normal life. As long as I don’t die, it’s fine.”
The man stared at Ling Yunfan for a long time in silence, then signaled to the person beside him.
Two people who had been holding onto Ling Yunfan let go of him.
Ling Yunfan rubbed his shoulder and flattered the man with a smile, saying, “Thanks, bro.”
The man nodded towards the door and warned him, “Let me tell you, don’t try anything funny. Let’s go.”
“I wouldn’t dare,” Ling Yunfan nodded obediently one second, and the next second, he suddenly swung his arm and punched the big man beside him in the face, knocking him down.
His change of attitude was so swift that the man couldn’t react in time.
By the time the debt collector came to his senses, Ling Yunfan had already climbed out of the open window and jumped down without hesitation.
His body hit the iron shed and fell to the ground. The pain blurred his vision, but his mind was clear, and he heard the voice in his head screaming for him to run and escape.
Ling Yunfan ran out of the alley, clutching his injured arm, only to be hit by a dark car.
When he saw the face of the driver, Ling Yunfan really wanted to give an obscene gesture to the heavens.
The youthful arrogance and refusal to lose were some of the driving forces that had brought Ling Yunfan this far. Now, appearing in front of his former archenemy in such a pitiful and shameful state, it felt like his dignity was being rubbed on the ground, rubbed and polished on the smooth surface.
Ling Yunfan felt a splitting headache, and then his consciousness sank into darkness, and he fainted without surprise.

It was already eight o’clock in the morning, early summer, with long days and short nights. The sky was bright and the sun was hanging high.
In the corridor by the window of the hospital, a doctor was carefully examining the medical records in his hand, while a man standing opposite him in a black shirt was tall and handsome, with a striking appearance and deep black eyes like sparkling stars.
This is the VIP ward corridor, where the high price easily discourages people from coming, so the spacious corridor is very quiet with no one around.
The man furrowed his brows slightly with concern, waiting for the doctor to speak.
The doctor pushed his glasses up and looked up, “The patient has multiple soft tissue injuries all over the body, a dislocated left wrist, and a mild concussion.”
“Is it serious?” Ji Canghai asked, his voice cold and clear like a mountain stream.
“It’s not that serious, they’re all injuries that require proper rest. Pay attention to eating light food these few days,” the doctor replied.
Ji Canghai breathed a sigh of relief, “Thank you very much.”
“You’re welcome. By the way, the patient has already woken up, you can go see him,” the doctor said.
Ji Canghai was silent for a moment and then nodded lightly, “Okay.”
After seeing the doctor off, Ji Canghai walked to the door of a ward. The bright and clean door was silently closed, and Ji Canghai rubbed his forehead, took a deep breath, and pushed the door open.
As the door opened, the air flowed in, and the soft milk-white gauze curtain in front of the half-open window in the ward swayed gently in the breeze.
The person sitting on the bed, with gauze wrapped around their head, looked at Ji Canghai in a daze as their eyes met.
Ji Canghai wanted to speak, but Ling Yunfan spoke first.
Ling Yunfan asked blankly, “Where is this? Who are you? And…who am I?”
