Don’t Mess with the Puppy! - Vol.1 Chapter 1 Part 2
Heeseong had a nightmare.
It was a dream where he, turned back into a puppy, was being chased by Yoon Chi-young. Heeseong ran desperately, rolling over and over, but eventually was cornered into a dead-end and caught by Yoon Chi-young.
Yoon Chi-young looked at the mud-covered puppy with the same desire one would have for a ripe fruit. Heeseong struggled with all four legs to break free, but he couldn’t move an inch.
As the handsome face came closer, sharp fangs of a wolf made their appearance.
And the moment Yoon Chi-young’s prominent nose touched the puppy’s moist nose, Heeseong woke up from the dream with a scream.
‘Shi… F*cking hell, what a shitty dream.”
Heeseong jumped up in his puppy form. He must have slept for a long time, so only one side of his potato-sized head was flattened by the pillow. Barely coming to his senses, Heeseong looked around. It was still the middle of the night.
Moreover, he had woken up in a motel attached to a gambling den. It was a place that was always above Heeseong’s head every day, but the clean surroundings felt strangely unfamiliar now.
Heeseong heard something ridiculous from his brother who just entered the room.
“Oh, you’re awake? Yoon Chi-young said he’s sorry and paid compensation.”
“Compensation…? What compensation?”
“He said he’s sorry for messing with the gambling den’s dog by mistake and handed this over. Just rest well for today.”
Rest well, as if.Suddenly gifted with a day off, Heeseong, who worked 6.5 days a week, didn’t know what to do with the free time.
‘Just knocked out an innocent beastman and now he’s paying compensation money.’
Still, it was a precious day off. Heeseong took the opportunity to rest all by himself. From time to time, he heard strange moaning sounds from the next room, but Heeseong didn’t care and slept like he was knocked out. The stress and fatigue built up in his body were only relieved after sleeping for a whole day.
Waking up again, Heeseong found a drink and a large box placed beside the bed.
Sweet Potato Snack
On the box, there was a note written by his brother’s hand, “Yoon Chi-young bought this.”
“Does that guy really think I’m a dog?”
Yoon Chi-young’s sense in snacks was terribly off. Heeseong, considering throwing away the snack box larger than his puppy form, decided to transform back into human form and try one. The sweet snack suited his taste. Fatigued, Heeseong reverted back to his puppy form and devoured two more bags of sweet potato snacks, then jumped off the bed with a full belly.
It was about time to start taking care of his livelihood.
