Don’t Mess with the Puppy! - Vol.1 Chapter 2 Part 6
Heeseong couldn’t even dream of escaping, spending 24 hours a day with the cannibalistic wolf. However, he didn’t give up and made thorough preparations for his escape.
‘This house is disgustingly big.’
The puppy had perfectly grasped the layout of Yoon Chi-young’s house during his time there. There were five rooms, and the terrace was as big as the living room. He even got trapped in the laundry room once—it was humiliating, but he had to bark to call Yoon Chi-young. Despite his limping leg, the puppy diligently wandered around looking for the best hiding places and escape routes.
‘The problem is that the living room is further away from the bedroom than I thought…’
Heeseong would sit on the living room carpet every day and simulate his escape. The living room and bedroom were far apart, making it difficult for a small puppy to run there, but the advantage was that the sound from the living room didn’t travel well to the bedroom. Additionally, Yoon Chi-young took an unknown medication before bed and fell into a deep sleep, making it the perfect time to escape while he was asleep.
However, sometimes, when he looked at the large, darkly decorated house, he felt a sense of desolation.
‘Why does this guy live in such a needlessly big place when he lives alone?’
The house was big, too big. And Yoon Chi-young was always there, alone. The puppy sometimes thought he looked very lonely when he was alone in the big, dark house. If it weren’t for him, there would be no noise at all in this house.
Heeseong looked at Yoon Chi-young sitting on the sofa and turned his head away when their eyes met, seeing his handsome face with a gentle smile. What’s the point of sympathizing with a guy like that? I’m going to escape from this place anyway.
After figuring out the escape route, he started preparing his escape funds.
Yoon Chi-young would sometimes pile up a stack of cash on the living room table and listen to reports from his organization members.
“Who contacted that racoon Soo-in? There must be more hidden than this money…”
Each time, Heeseong was able to pick up various bits of information. He also occasionally managed to pick up 50,000 won bills that were blown away by the accidentally slid down window.
Swoosh.
The thieving puppy mainly operated under the dark sofa. He would watch Yoon Chi-young’s unnecessarily pretty collarbone, and when money occasionally fell, he would diligently pick it up. If he was lucky enough for money to fall right in front of him, he could just extend his white forepaw and grab the bill.
‘Isn’t this better than working at a casino?’
Heeseong hid the money he had collected in a space he had dug out under the sofa. It was a safe that only he could find, and it was soon filled with crumpled bills.
Although he had only stolen a little dust from a rich man’s barn, it seemed that Heeseong was making more money than when he worked at the casino. He felt a little resentful about that fact, but Heeseong decided that if he was going to steal, he might as well steal more boldly. That way, he would have some money to make up for the drugs he had lost when he returned to the casino.
The opportunity came as if from heaven.
Thud.
With a thud, a bundle of bills fell right in front of the sofa. The black eyes of the puppy, who had been waiting for an opportunity, were filled with the sight of the yellow money.
Blinded by the money, Heeseong hurriedly came out and grabbed the bundle of yellow bills in his mouth. It was difficult to move with his small body, but he thought that with this much money, he could live without worrying about money for a few months.
“….”
As soon as he turned around with the money in his mouth, he met eyes with Yoon Chi-young, who was smiling broadly.
The surprised Heeseong stared blankly at those gray eyes and dropped the money he was holding in his mouth. Strangely, Yoon Chi-young was holding his hand up as if he had dropped something on purpose. The flustered puppy decided to act anyway.
Wow, woof!
As usual, he pretended to be a ferocious dog and gnawed at the snake toy on the carpet. He could feel the gazes of the other wolf organization members piercing his back, but fortunately, the attention that had been focused on Heeseong quickly disappeared.
“Well… let’s leave that racoon alone for now. Let’s catch her again when she’s gathered some money.”
Yoon Chi-young leaned back on the sofa, saying it as if he was enjoying himself. Heeseong felt a brief moment of sympathy for the racoon Soo-in, whom he didn’t even know, but he quickly gathered up the crumbs. As soon as there was an opening, he grabbed the bundle of bills again and quickly returned to the safe under the sofa.
‘Oh, man, that was close.’
He had almost gotten caught. Even after he had collected the money, Heeseong’s heart kept pounding. The fact that the entire interior of the house was black made it easy for his white fur to be seen. It was fortunate that he was small.
‘I guess I’ll have to stop here for today.’
But Heeseong knew how to wait for the right moment. He had seen many cases at the casino where people lost everything because they were too greedy. Heeseong carefully put the money he had collected into the hole under the sofa and went out, waiting carefully for the right moment.
As soon as Heeseong stepped out of the sofa, Yoon Chi-young, who had sent the organization members out, warmly hugged the puppy.
“The puppy is all dusty again… Shall we take a bath together?”
‘…Shit.’
As safe as the money was, there was a downside. He had to endure the humiliating baths by Yoon Chi-young, covered in dust every time. Heeseong cursed in his expression, showing his dislike, but eventually found himself sitting in a sink filled with warm water, like a bathtub, with a waterproof patch neatly applied to his injured leg.
“I should tell the cleaning helper to clean under the sofa well too.”
“……?”
The puppy, shrunk unattractively from being wet, turned to look at Yoon Chi-young with a pricked face.
Surely he didn’t notice thesafe.
If that were the case, he would have had to move the money he had accumulated to a new safe.
Seeing that tense look, Yoon Chi-young smiled subtly. The action of lowering his hand with pronounced joints beneath his broad shoulders seemed suspicious.
“No… We’ll just bathe together.”
Saying so, Yoon Chi-young took off the nightgown he was wearing comfortably. The puppy immediately turned away with a scream. Naturally, he had seen Yoon Chi-young’s naked body from living together. The well-trained, tall body looked impressive to anyone.
The problem was seeing what he didn’t want to see.
‘Sh, shit. It’s too big…’
The puppy looked only at the corner of the sink, shuddering. When Yoon Chi-young said last time that his was bigger than even a water deer’s, he thought it was nonsense, but now he wondered if it might be true. Moreover, being in the form of a small puppy, everything seemed much bigger, making it even more dreadful.
Eventually, Heeseong didn’t go under the sofa for a while. He didn’t want to see Yoon Chi-young’s heavy thing ever again.
Moreover, the worst part was being envious of Yoon Chi-young’s tall and well-built body. Heeseong, who had a complex about his height, envied the impressive body with well-balanced muscles. Heeseong felt the unfairness of God and was unnecessarily more irritable towards Yoon Chi-young than usual.
