Don’t Mess with the Puppy! - Vol.1 Chapter 2 Part 9
They returned to the house with an entirely black interior, and a lavish Korean meal was laid out. In the center of the table, grilled eel was set up ready to be eaten. Heeseong, who was extremely hungry, started whining at the table as soon as Yoon Chi-young washed his hands and sat down, begging to be fed.
Yoon Chi-young, who was feeding the dog porridge first – baby food for humans – said.
“I’ve never fed anyone like this before in my life.”
‘Do you think any other organization boss would feed me?’
Heeseong was now used to talking to himself. Yoon Chi-young seemed to be the same, as he tenderly spoke to Heeseong in an affectionate voice while peeling the eel with his long fingers.
“Puppy. I have to go somewhere I don’t want to go tomorrow… Will you come with me?”
‘No.’
Heeseong didn’t want to go. He had to somehow separate from Yoon Chi-young and try to escape, or at least try to turn into a human.
And in fact, the dog wanted to get away from Yoon Chi-young, who was crazy about skinship. Yoon Chi-young fondled the dog’s body so much that Heeseong had dreams of his body being crushed like clay. The dog needed some time alone too.
When the puppy didn’t react much and just stared at the eel, Yoon Chi-young said with a disappointed look.
“You’re not going to come? I can’t go anywhere without you…”
‘…Damn it.’
The eel dangled in front of Heeseong’s eyes like bait. The dog stood on two paws on the table just to get that far away from it.
The puppy looked up at Yoon Chi-young with murderous intent. But even more than Yoon Chi-young’s charming smile, the eel caught his eye first. The plump, red-hot flesh was cooked to perfection.
In the end, it was the tail that betrayed the puppy first. Heeseong, whose tail was wagging furiously, reluctantly accepted by snapping at the eel…
“So you’re coming with me?”
‘You would have taken me anyway.’
No matter how much the puppy acted up, Yoon Chi-young would have taken him everywhere. It was easy to predict, considering how he had been carrying the dog around in his arms for the past three weeks.
“Tomorrow, we’re going to my older sister’s inauguration ceremony as the head of the family.”
In a peaceful atmosphere, Yoon Chi-young spoke to the dog as he peeled grilled eel for him.
“I have two older brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister…”
‘Five wolf siblings? That’s more brutal than a fairy tale.’
“When I was young, I wanted to be the head of the family like my siblings.”
‘Yeah, right.’
The puppy listened half-heartedly and quickly ate another piece of grilled eel. Then he accidentally spilled eel on Yoon Chi-young’s pants, but Yoon Chi-young didn’t scold him. Instead, he told him not to eat the fallen food, cleaned it up, and peeled a new piece of eel for him.
“But I’m not in a position to do that.”
“……?”
It was a bitter remark. The dog looked up at Yoon Chi-young with a puzzled look.
‘Why?’
He tilted his head to show that he was curious, but there was no answer. Yoon Chi-young simply peeled the eel beautifully and placed it on the plate in front of the puppy. The puppy, feeling uncomfortable with Yoon Chi-young’s suddenly gloomy mood, pushed the plate back towards Yoon Chi-young.
‘Is he now complaining to me?’
He didn’t give up the eel to cheer him up. He was just a little full, and it bothered him that the guy who was always teasing him was now listless.
Only then did Yoon Chi-young burst into soft laughter as the puppy pushed the plate forward with his front paw. Then he ate the eel that the puppy had given him. He even tried to kiss him on the cheek, but Heeseong turned away in disgust.
Still, Heeseong couldn’t help but worry about him.
‘…Does this guy not have any family or friends he can talk to because he’s the boss of the organization?’
Mal Su-in, who was the closest thing he had to a friend, had personally broken his bones, and now he was talking to the puppy and giving him affection. His family situation didn’t seem good either. From what Heeseong had seen, Yoon Chi-young’s sister despised him, and most of the subordinates he met were afraid of him. Heeseong had a few friends in the organization, so he felt a little sorry for Yoon Chi-young, who was always alone.
The puppy, who was thinking about this, shuddered.
‘Why am I feeling sorry for this guy?’
What’s the point, he’s a filthy rich guy?The puppy narrowed his eyes again and didn’t let his guard down.
Heeseong, who had worked in the casino, knew how much money Yoon Chi-young gambled in one night. He easily threw away the money that Heeseong would have to work for years to earn.
“Come on, have another bite.”
Just then, Yoon Chi-young offered Heeseong a piece oftteokgalbi(grilled marinated short rib) cut into the size of a baby’s fingernail, with a few grains of rice attached. The puppy, who had been looking at it carefully, grabbed the tteokgalbi and ate it. Then he looked around the table. The huge marble table was filled with luxurious food, but the only ones sitting there were Yoon Chi-young and himself.
‘…Still, this isn’t something that can be bought with money.’
Heeseong, who thought bitterly, walked across the table to Yoon Chi-young. Then he jumped straight onto Yoon Chi-young’s lap. It was the first time he had ever gone into the man’s arms first. Yoon Chi-young, knowing this, put the food aside and hugged the puppy.
Suddenly, his brother’s nagging came to Heeseong’s mind.
〈Heeseong, you fool, what are you going to do if you’re so weak to affection? Just because someone is nice to you doesn’t mean they’re a good person.〉
But Heeseong couldn’t leave it at that as he looked at Yoon Chi-young’s happy and handsome face.
‘…If my brother saw me like this, he would have nagged me again….’
Heeseong felt pathetic for himself, but he quietly stayed in Yoon Chi-young’s arms.
Yoon Chi-young enjoyed his late meal with the puppy in his arms. However, the puppy did get a little angry when he accidentally spilled some sauce on the it’s white head.
