Don’t Mess with the Puppy! - Vol.2 Chapter 5 Part 1
It had been a fortnight since the incident. The two had been quite busy during that time.
To be precise, it was Heeseong who had been busy. He had to nurse Yoon Chi-young, who was discharged from the hospital after a week—though it seemed like an exaggeration—and also handled some of the organization’s work. As a result, the living room table became the puppy’s work desk. The puppy would periodically make wise judgments to the organization members who came to report. One bark meant “proceed,” and two barks meant “don’t do that.”
Among the tasks Heeseong handled, the most important one was “locating Park Geon-tae.”
“Young-bae hyung, how far have you traced Park Geon-tae?” Heeseong asked, emerging from the bedroom with a disheveled appearance. As skilled as Ji Young-bae was at tracking, he was well-suited for this task, and when he heard what Park Geon-tae had done to Heeseong, he readily accepted the request.
While Yoon Chi-young was injured, Park Geon-tae had gone into hiding and disappeared.
He had a keen sense indeed. Park Geon-tae, who had been attached to the casino leader, may have sensed that he would be discarded or heard rumors that Heeseong had met Yoon Chi-young’s parents. Without any lingering attachments, he left the casino where he had devoted his body to work for ten years.
On top of that, he even did something audacious.
〈…He even took all the casino money and disappeared?〉
As the saying goes, “a fox who betrays a dog grows up to eat a tiger’s back.” Park Geon-tae had taken all the money from the dog beastman casino and fled.
Judging by how cleanly he had concealed his whereabouts, it seemed he had been preparing countermeasures for a long time. He had even taken the woman he loved so much and eloped with her. When Heeseong heard the information, he was dumbfounded and felt like exploding with rage.
〈If I find that bastard, seriously….〉
Since that day, the puppy, whose fur stood on end from anger, had begun searching for Park Geon-tae in earnest.
Fortunately, the tracking abilities of the wolf organization members were exceptional, and within less than a week of searching, Park Geon-tae’s location was being pinpointed. Heeseong’s information network also played a significant role. No matter how much Park Geon-tae flew or crawled, Heeseong, who had been by his side for five years, could see through what he would do.
“That bastard has nowhere to go. With his many prior convictions, he can’t leave the country anyway, so starting from his hometown of Busan that I mentioned… Hngh!”
Suddenly, Heeseong let out a subtle moan and turned around. There stood a giant wolf taller than Heeseong’s waist. Unlike its elegant appearance with a sleek black coat, the joy was evident in the wolf’s gray eyes.
“Hey, stop licking my thighs!”
Heeseong snapped angrily and tightly wrapped the bathrobe around his lower body.
With this injury, Yoon Chi-young spent more time as a wolf. The problem was that old habits die hard. Whether as a wolf or human, he would always lick Heeseong’s flesh as if tasting it. He was particularly interested in the soft flesh between the thighs. There was a reason why Heeseong reacted with disgust and anger. The wolf had been biting so much that Heeseong’s white thighs were covered in red and purple teeth marks, stinging to the touch.
“Ah, anyway, Young-bae-hyung…”
Heeseong pushed the wolf away and looked at Ji Young-bae again, his ears flushed red. Now that he had lashed out, he felt embarrassed. Of all times to show such a sensual sight while having a serious conversation. Heeseong thought he might need to put a leash on Yoon Chi-young.
Fortunately, Ji Young-bae was not paying attention to such playful antics between lovers. He was just looking at Yoon Chi-young, who had transformed into a wolf, with extreme caution. The distance between them as they conversed was far, from one end of the bedroom door to the other end of the living room. It couldn’t be helped, as Yoon Chi-young still had a strong sense of aggression when in his original form, and only Heeseong could be safe by his side.
Heeseong roughly pushed the pitch-black wolf away and spoke.
“That bastard Park Geon-tae is crafty, so you need to be careful too, hyung.”
“Yes.”
“It’s okay if the tracking is slow, so please do it with caution.”
“No, I will handle it as quickly as possible.”
“…Aren’t you supposed to talk to me informally now, hyung?”
Heeseong asked hesitantly while making the request. His actions were a bit clumsy as he tried to push away the black wolf’s snout wedged between his thighs. However, Heeseong found the formality from Ji Young-bae more bothersome than this embarrassing situation.
Strangely, Heeseong had no qualms about treating Yoon Chi-young casually, but he felt a bit guilty receiving formal speech from his hyung in the organization. Heeseong now wanted to be close with the wolf organization members who were always kind to him. The organization members had even become quite friendly, patting the puppy’s head once before leaving.
However, as always, the organization members spoke politely, conscious of the pitch-black wolf’s gaze.
“…I apologize for that. I will be going first.”
It was the answer Heeseong had expected. Still, he didn’t feel any sense of distance. Ji Young-bae had carefully handed Heeseong a nice new outfit before leaving.
In the middle of winter, Ji Young-bae had bought a padded jacket for Heeseong, who was sensitive to the cold. Heeseong held the jacket, which was only slightly larger than his palm, and saw Ji Young-bae off. Despite his gruff exterior, Heeseong was grateful to him for always taking good care of him.
‘Park Geon-tae, you bastard. Just try to make thehyungswork harder….’
Heeseong, clutching the puppy-sized padded jacket, gritted his teeth as he headed inside the house. His small mind was filled with nothing but hatred towards Park Geon-tae.
Behind him, the black wolf approached silently like a predator with its large body. It was to continue what had been interrupted when Ji Young-bae came up to report the situation.
“What? I’m going to take a shower.”
‘Okay, go shower.’
The wolf wagged its tail as if to say it understood. Heeseong suspiciously looked at Yoon Chi-young, who was suddenly being obedient, and quickly went to the front of the bathroom to take off his bathrobe. The cunning wolf was lowering its head furtively and prowling around the side, as if looking at prey. It seemed suspicious somehow. It felt like he had to escape to the shower room as quickly as possible.
“Don’t follow me. It’s hard to wash with you, ah…!”
As expected, Yoon Chi-young didn’t miss the opportunity. He firmly pushed Heeseong’s firm, lean waist with his fluffy head, causing Heeseong to lose his balance.
With a few movements from the giant wolf’s body, Heeseong’s body collapsed helplessly. The giant wolf climbed on top of Heeseong, who had fallen on all fours on the carpet after losing his balance. Heeseong, sensing what was coming, struggled to escape from under the black fur, but whether in puppy form or human form, Heeseong was always overpowered by Yoon Chi-young.
“Let go, let go! We did it so much, why again… Mmph, hey…!”
In the end, Heeseong was punished all evening. The charge was for arbitrarily receiving Ji Young-bae’s report during the act. On top of that, another bizarre charge was added for enjoying it during the punishment, and he was severely tormented by the wolf. To the point where he even temporarily forgot his anger towards Park Geon-tae.
***
…It was a night when Heeseong slept deeply without even having nightmares for once.
Having dealt with Yoon Chi-young, whose pheromone levels were fluctuating all night, he fell asleep as if he had passed out, not even knowing when he had fallen asleep.
It was in the quiet early morning when Heeseong heard a faint phone conversation.
“Just… send me the location. Yeah… I got it.”
Perhaps he had returned to human form by now. Yoon Chi-young was having a low, hoarse phone conversation next to him.
Even in his sleep, Heeseong wanted to nag at him, asking why he was taking calls at this hour. Most of the late-night calls were related to his work as a Gamshija. Knowing the hardship of working while sick, Heeseong didn’t like Yoon Chi-young working while injured.
However, the nagging only lingered in his mouth. Heeseong, who had been tormented by skinship all day, couldn’t open his eyes and was curled up holding Yoon Chi-young’s hand. Yoon Chi-young embraced Heeseong from behind, kissing his hair and gently calling out to him.
“Baby, baby?”
“…Mm.”
“I need to go out for a bit… Can I take you with me? If you’re sleepy, you can sleep in puppy form.”
“……”
Heeseong’s white puppy ears twitched.
He really intended to go out. Heeseong wanted to tell him right away that he couldn’t, but it seemed like Yoon Chi-young would go out alone even if he tried to stop him. Moreover, a call that came at this late hour was an important matter that required Yoon Chi-young’s presence.
In the end, Heeseong let out a faint sound, “Heu,” and rolled over, suddenly sitting up.
“I’ll… go with you.”
“Aren’t you tired? You can just stay and sleep…”
“How can I sleep when you’re going out with an injured body?”
Heeseong spoke sternly, getting up unsteadily. He was so unsteady that he would have fallen over if Yoon Chi-young hadn’t supported his waist, but his attitude was stern.
Yoon Chi-young, suppressing a quiet laugh, took care of the disheveled puppy, brushing back his hair. He wanted to take care of Heeseong attentively all night, but he had to go to the location without being late.
