Ex-Husband Wants To Marry Again - Chap 9
Chapter 13: Seeing You Makes Me Sick
Every word that Ye Linghan said felt like a knife stabbing into Ji Ran’s heart.
The color drained from his face, and he trembled with sadness.
Ye Linghan could see Ji Ran’s grievances, but he was also feeling wronged.
For the sake of this relationship, he had given just as much as Ji Ran.
He had given up so many excellent omegas just to be with Ji Ran.
But what he got in return was not Ji Ran’s recognition and love, but his endless suspicion.
Ye Linghan was full of anger and lost his temper, “I don’t even know why I came back. Seeing you makes me sick. You used to be different, but now you’re becoming more and more boring.”
Putting on his coat again, Ye Linghan walked out of the bedroom without looking back.
Ji Ran sat on the bed, his face as pale as paper.
“Sickening” and “boring”…
He couldn’t believe the man he loved would describe him in such a way.
Ji Ran was sick!
He had developed an allergic reaction to the synthetic drug, discomfort from his first heat, and a broken heart… That night, he developed a high fever.
Ji Ran’s fever was very high, and his face was bright red.
The continuous high temperature frightened the servants in the villa, causing them to hastily call Ye Linghan.
Ye Linghan was attending a business banquet accompanied by Gan Rui.
His phone kept ringing, but Ye Linghan had no intention of answering it.
Gan Rui reminded him, “Young Master Ye, your phone is ringing.”
“Frustrating!” Ye Linghan hung up the phone in irritation.
It must be Ji Ran asking him to go back!
This time, he would ignore him for a few days and see if Ji Ran dared to put on a sour face again.
When they first fell in love, Ye Linghan really cherished and protected Ji Ran, never letting him suffer any grievances.
But both of them were alphas and had strong personalities.
Ji Ran didn’t know how to yield, and Ye Linghan was even less inclined to do so.
Being born into an aristocratic family, Ye Linghan had always been spoiled since childhood.
The word “bow one’s head” is not even in his dictionary.
Whenever the two of them quarreled, no matter whose fault it was, Jiran was always the first to bow his head.
Over time, Yelinghan got used to it and thought that Jiran should accommodate him and let things go his way. Who made Jiran love him?
The phone rang again, and a strong chill filled Yelinghan’s eyes as he answered, “What is it, hurry up and speak!”
The anxious voice of the servant came through the receiver, “Young Master Yeling, Jiran is sick!”
Yelinghan’s eyes widened, and the question he was about to ask immediately swallowed back down his throat. He turned the conversation around and sneered, “He knows he was wrong, but he can’t bring himself to swallow his pride and ask me to come back. Is he pretending to be sick for sympathy now?”
“No, Jiran is really sick.” The servant was so anxious that he was sweating. “Young Master Yeling, I’ll send you a video.”
Not long after, the video was sent.
Yelinghan’s expression became even colder after watching it, and his tone became even more merciless. “He’s really good at acting! Tell him to save his energy! Instead of putting on a show, he should think about how to give me an heir.”
Click-
The phone hung up mercilessly.
The servant holding the receiver was stunned.
After coming to his senses, he looked at Jiran, who was burning with a fever and writhing in pain on the bed, feeling especially distressed.
He had been a servant in the villa for so long that he knew how much Jiran loved Yelinghan.
Now that Yelinghan had someone else by his side, Jiran was no longer needed!
Ji Shao is really pitiful!
Without the orders of Ye Linghan, the servants dared not find a doctor. Several of them could only take turns to wipe Ji Ran’s body with warm water, to reduce the heat inside his body.
Fortunately, there were regular medicines in the villa. After giving Ji Ran some fever-reducing medicine and the second half of the night, his fever gradually subsided.
But the fever was only temporary, and the next day, Ji Ran had a fever again.
This fever was worse than the previous one.
If he continued to have a fever like this, what if he developed complications?
The servants were extremely scared and called Ye Linghan again.
Chapter 14 Addicted to Acting?
Ye Linghan was in a meeting and impatiently slapped the table. “Are you guys done yet? Addicted to acting?”
“Tell Ji Ran that this little trick is useless in front of me!”
“Is he really sick? You guys are making a big deal out of nothing. It’s just a fever. Who hasn’t had a fever before? Why bother finding a doctor? Let him suffer at home for a few days, and he’ll naturally get better.”
“He always says he’s an Alpha and Alphas have always had good physical fitness. It’s just a minor illness. Does he really need to act so weak? He’s not like a delicate Omega who needs to be pampered. Tell him not to act weak in front of me.”
Ye Linghan ruthlessly hung up the phone. He felt that Ji Ran was playing tricks on him to get him to come back.
If he wanted him to come back, he should personally call and ask him to come.
Maybe he would really come back if he was happy enough.
Playing these little tricks to fool him, did they think he was a fool?
Ye Linghan felt choked with anger in his heart and didn’t even return to the villa for a few days.
The illness came like a mountain and went like a thread. Ji Ran lay in bed for seven days before finally showing signs of recovery.
But his complexion was particularly ugly, and his physical condition was not as good as it was at the beginning.

Even though he was an Alpha, he was even more fragile than an Omega.
These days, Jiran probably also knew about Ye Linghan’s attitude.
Originally, the servants in the villa withdrew one after another, and the empty villa was like a cold prison.
Three days ago, Jiran woke up and wanted to drink water. He still went downstairs by himself and fetched a cup of water to drink.
There was no hot water, and the icy water entered his stomach, making him shiver all over from the cold.
The coldness in his body passed in a moment, but the coldness in his heart was the most unbearable.
These days, Ye Linghan hadn’t called him or sent him a message.
