He covered You Shulang with a blanket, put on some clothes, and went to get the ginger soup that had been kept warm. He watched You Shulang drink a full bowl, and then rubbed the bruises on the man’s body with medicated oil.
After finishing everything, Fan Xiao dressed and sat on the edge of the bed, looking at You Shulang who was pretending to be asleep. His eyes were filled with a deep sense of reluctance and sadness.

You Shulang nodded indifferently. He looked out the window and saw sparse snowflakes falling from the dark sky.
It’s snowing! The first snow of the year has finally arrived…
The weather was dry and cold, so You Shulang put on a scarf before going out.
Outside the dilapidated neighborhood, luxury cars were parked. You Shulang opened the passenger door and got in.
He called out “Bowen” as a greeting, and the man in the driver’s seat smiled and put the scarf back around his neck. Then he started the car and said, “A new amusement park-themed restaurant has opened. Shall we pick up Tiantian and go there for dinner? I’ve already made a reservation.”
You Shulang hummed in response and smiled, “Thank you.”
“There’s no need to thank me,” the man said, glancing over as he drove. “Shulang, you’re always too polite with me.”
You Shulang didn’t reply, his gaze lingering faintly as he looked out the window: “It’s snowing again.”
The roads near the kindergarten were congested, and the car was moving slowly, so the two of them simply stopped the car and walked to pick up Tiantian.
There was snow on the sidewalk. You Shulang didn’t pay attention and stepped on it, slipped, and stumbled.
The man beside him quickly reached out and protected him, putting his arm around You Shulang’s shoulder as they walked around the snowdrift.
