Good Luck Time - Chap 43
“Do you want me to talk to her parents?” She looked at Jiang Ge with a serious look, “I think you like her very much.”
Growing up, she always accompanied Jiang Ge more than disciplined her, and would hardly interfere with any of his decisions. When she mentioned Jiang Ge’s girlfriend, she spoke with a very sincere attitude.
Jiang Ge knew that his mother was serious at the moment, but he also knew that she would definitely tell his father.
Tao Sizhi had little ability to take care of herself and was unwilling to leave home. She could not bear this. Therefore, Jiang Ge still did not have the confidence to confess the truth to her. He just said to her: “Mom, you think too much.” Then he went out and took a taxi to school.
This time Jiang Ge waited for Tao Sizhi outside the iron fence for a few minutes before Tao Sizhi sneaked over.
”I’m here.” Tao Sizhi squeezed into the gap behind the cleaning room, looked at Jiang Ge, put his hand through the iron fence, and asked Jiang Ge for his cell phone.
Jiang Ge grabbed his hand, not wanting to give him the phone right away, and asked him, “How can you thank me?”
Tao Sizhi was stunned and asked, “How can I thank you?”
Jiang Ge looked at Tao Sizhi for a while and asked him: “Sizhi, can you come out?”
Tao Sizhi’s expression was filled with horror: “Huh?” Then she immediately rejected Jiang Ge: “No.”
”I’ll follow you,” Jiang Ge said, “It’s not like you haven’t climbed before. I’ll send you back early tomorrow morning.”
”I don’t want to…” He tried hard to pull out the hand held by Jiang Ge, but Jiang Ge let go.
Tao Sizhi stepped back a little and looked at Jiang Ge warily for a long time. Then, as if she couldn’t help it, she asked Jiang Ge, “Can you give me your phone?”
He moved forward a little, stretched out his hand again, grabbed Jiang Ge’s hand, scratched Jiang Ge’s palm, and said coquettishly to Jiang Ge: “Jiang Ge.”
Jiang Ge was scratched a few times by him and said helplessly: “Tao Sizhi, do you like me or your mobile phone?”
”Jiang Ge.” Tao Sizhi’s answer sounded like he liked Jiang Ge. In fact, it was more like he didn’t hear what Jiang Ge was saying and just continued to call him.
”Tao Sizhi.” Jiang Ge called him again and pulled his hand away. Only then did he look at Jiang Ge as if he had reacted.
Jiang Ge looked at him for a while, but still couldn’t control himself and said to him: “Tao Sizhi, do you like me a little bit?”
Tao Sizhi looked at Jiang Ge blankly. After a few seconds, he said “Oh” in a low voice, said nothing, and stopped using his cell phone.
In the end, Jiang Ge returned the phone to him, grabbed him, kissed his forehead, and said, “Then I’m leaving.”
Tao Sizhi said “hmm” and Jiang Ge turned around and left.
He walked for a while without looking back, and when he was approaching the corner of the alley, he suddenly heard the sound of heavy objects falling to the ground behind him, and heard Tao Sizhi calling him softly from behind.
He turned around and saw Tao Sizhi already outside the iron fence, limping towards him a little awkwardly, almost as if she was chasing him.
Perhaps because of the heavy fall, Tao Sizhi walked very slowly, but Jiang Ge was still stunned until Tao Sizhi staggered up to him.
”Jiang Ge,” Tao Sizhi complained unhappily, “you are walking too fast.”
”I didn’t answer even if I asked you to,” he said. “You didn’t seem to hear me when I called you.”
Tao Sizhi’s face bulged when she was unhappy, as if Jiang Ge had done something very wrong.
Jiang Ge pulled him and held him in his arms, smelling the light fragrance on his body. He didn’t wait outside for long today, so his hands were warm.
”Where are we going?” Tao Sizhi was held in Jiang Ge’s arms and her voice was muffled as she accused Jiang Ge, “Jiang Ge, you hugged me too tightly.”
At this time, the school’s lights-out music sounded.
Jiang Ge looked at Tao Sizhi and made sure that he had tricked Tao Sizhi and that Tao Sizhi could not go back, only to realize that they could not go anywhere except home.
”Jiang Ge,” Tao Sizhi asked him again as if he was a little anxious, “do you have a plan for where we are going?”
Tao Sizhi hid in Jiang Ge’s arms and looked up at Jiang Ge. His trusting and nervous eyes made Jiang Ge feel that if he admitted that he had no plan at all, he should commit suicide here in the next second to apologize.
”Yes,” Jiang Ge said bravely, “go back to my house.”
”Oh,” Tao Sizhi breathed a sigh of relief and said, “You can do it.”
”What time does it leave from your home?” he asked again. “I don’t want to take the subway anymore.”
”I’ve made an appointment for a special car at six o’clock,” Jiang Ge said.
Tao Sizhi was satisfied, said “Yeah” and said, “Let’s go.”
When Jiang Ge opened the door and entered the house, there was no one in the living room. He took Tao Sizhi back to his room, and under Tao Sizhi’s instruction, went to the guest bedroom to get Tao Sizhi’s pajamas and special pillows.
Tao Sizhi took a bath, changed into pajamas, and slept with Jiang Ge. This time he didn’t touch around, he just turned over in the darkness and hugged Jiang Ge.
”Jiang Ge,” he said, leaning against Jiang Ge, “tomorrow, you first climb over to the other side of the wall to catch me, and then climb out.”
Jiang Ge agreed, and he told Jiang Ge: “I fell on my knee today and it hurts a little.”
Jiang Ge turned on the light again and looked at Tao Sizhi’s knees.
Tao Sizhi fell a little hard and bruised her knees. He sat up with his legs bent, his head slightly tilted, looking at Jiang Ge, and reached out to gently touch Jiang Ge’s hair.
Jiang Ge lowered his eyes, gently touched Tao Sizhi’s bruised area, and asked Tao Sizhi, “Don’t you want to come out? Why did you come out again?”
Tao Sizhi looked at him and was stunned for a while, hugging his knees, as if hearing a question that he couldn’t understand at all, let alone answer.
Jiang Ge waited for a while, then turned off the light again, took Tao Sizhi’s elbow, asked him to lie down, and promised him: “I won’t force you anymore.”
Tao Sizhi still didn’t answer right away. He was silent, as if he was thinking very hard, but in the end he said, “I’m sorry, Jiang Ge, I’m in a little trouble.”
He approached Jiang Ge, kissed Jiang Ge’s face and lips, and said “I like you.”
Jiang Ge felt that he had nothing to do with Tao Sizhi, so he had to accept that Tao Sizhi’s love might be like this.
