I Just Crave for Your Pheromones - Chap 27
The name of the hill was Beihe. It was filled with tombstones.
The black Maybach sped along the empty road, the low houses and faded trees on either side of the road all shifting into shadow.
Finally, the car stopped at the foot of Beihe Hill.
The door opened and Mu Hanfeng’s long legs, hidden under his overcoat, stretched to the ground as he got out of the car. He pulled the mask back up over his face and walked into the nearest flower shop, picking out a bouquet of flowers by hand.
Most people who run a flower shop in a cemetery like this aren’t young girls, and sure enough, there was an old lady sitting at the counter with white hair, wearing her glasses and squinting as she pruned the flowers.
Not having to worry about being recognised and causing unnecessary trouble, Mu Hanfeng looked slightly relieved and paid for the flowers, walking up the steps to the hill.
Apart from the bouquet of flowers in his hands, Mu Hanfeng was dressed in black from head to toe, walking alone, step by step. His steps were not too heavy, but his whole body was inexplicably tinged with an air of desolation.
He made it to the top of Beihe hill, turned to the right, and finally stopped at the corner of the top row of gravestones.
Compared to the overgrown tombstones on the other side, this one was clean, and it was easy to see that it had been tended to for a long time.
The inscription on the tombstone was still very clear, with a simple name: Shen Yun.
Mu Hanfeng stood upright in the cold wind, looking at the name with his eyes downcast. After a long time, he bent down and placed the flowers in front of the tomb.
The contract signing between Tong Che and Solace went smoothly, very smoothly to be precise.
The contract drawn up by Solace’s legal department was so friendly to Tong Che, both in terms of the fee and the length of the endorsement, that Tong Che could not believe it.
However, it was written in black and white, and Solace was an internationally renowned brand and one of the best in the inhibitor industry, so there was nothing for Tong Che to disbelieve.
After signing the contract and agreeing that he would take a whole week off after the variety show to come to Solace to shoot commercials for the whole range of products, he exchanged three rounds of rainbow farts with the father of the new brand before Tong Che was ready to leave.
Before he left, he was handed a large box of suppressants by the brand’s father, which contained the new product he had advertised before, pure icing sugar.
Tong Che thanked him with a smile and walked towards the elevator with the box of suppressant in his arms, but his mood was a bit delicate.
Half a month ago, when he shot that commercial, Tong Che was looking forward to the free suppressants he would be given.
However, the tips of his ears were indisputably red again, as he was now looking forward to being marked by Mr. Mu in his dreams.
It’s been five days since his last fake estrus, and he was bitten by Mu Hanfeng in his dream.
“I hope I can be bitten by Mr. Mu again.”
The elevator made a “ding.” Tong Che returned to his senses and stepped in, and Lou Gui followed.
He hadn’t said a word to Lou Gui on the way here, except for the necessary communication.
The hot search incident brought out the pain that Tong Che had been suppressing in his heart for four years, and at the same time, it made him see Lou Gui more clearly and thoroughly once again, and he was even more annoyed.
He knew he couldn’t change his manager yet, and he didn’t bother to bring up the old issues again. So, he just tore up the friendship he had been maintaining on the surface, and simply didn’t communicate with the other, treating him as air.
Lou Gui was still relying on him for a living, and the kind of nasty things that happened back then would never happen again.
Lou Gui also knew what Tong Che was thinking, but he couldn’t be tough with him now.
Tong Che was in his prime now, not to mention the fact that he had Mu Hanfeng behind him!
So, even though Tong Che was so cold, Lou Gui had to compensate with a smile.
When they arrived at the underground car park and got into the car, Lou Gui turned his head to look at Tong Che. His tone was as gentle as it could be, “Xiao Che, what are the next arrangements? It’s still early; why doesn’t Brother Lou treat you to a meal? Feel free to mention what you want to eat. ”
He said, “No, I have a date with someone else.”
“With who?” Lou Gui asked subconsciously. After asking, he felt that his tone was too much like a question, and hurriedly found a remedy, “I meant to ask where it is, and let the driver take you there.”
This time, Tong Che didn’t refuse. With his current popularity, if he really went to take public transport, wouldn’t he be blocked by people?
He took out his mobile phone and searched for shops near Kang Xin Hospital.
On the map, there was a coffee shop that looked like it was right behind the hospital, so Tong Che gave the name to the driver. The car started to move, and when it hit the road, it was quiet again.
When he saw that they were about to arrive at the place, Lou Gui still couldn’t hold back and asked again, “Xiao Che, is the appointment with Emperor Mu?”
Tong Che sat in the back row and tilted his head to look out the window. He didn’t turn his head, only a “hmm” sounded as a response.
When the car stopped at the curb, Tong Che said “thank you” to the driver and was just about to open the door and get out when he heard Lou Gui ask, “Xiao Che, are you and Emperor Mu dating?”
The question was so exciting that Tong Che’s hand shook and the door handle popped out, almost pinching his fingertips.
His fingers involuntarily curled into his palm, and Tong Che shook his head like a rattle, “No, it’s impossible!”
Without waiting for Lou Gui to say anything more, Tong Che hurriedly dropped another sentence, “I’m leaving,” and then opened the door and jumped out of the car as if he was running away.
He was now fully dressed in a hat, mask, and scarf. The tips of his ears, which were hidden under his blonde hair, were flushed red.
He was going out with Mr. Mu!
How dare this incompetent manager dare think of this?
But after sighing, the heat on Tong Che’s face gradually subsided.
A question suddenly popped into his mind.
What would Mr. Mu be like if he was dating someone?
Before this variety show, even though he was in the same circle, Mu Hanfeng was only an unreachable idol to Tong Che, who could only be watched from afar but not played with.
At that time, Tong Che had also thought about this question. But it was more like an ordinary fan’s curiosity about his idol, which could not be taken seriously.
But now it’s different.
Now Mu Hanfeng was right beside him. Eating and living with him, touching his head and squeezing his ears, listening to him sing, helping him solve his problems, and giving him hugs when he is sad.
Unknowingly, Tong Che could no longer regard him as a mere idol. As for the deeper part, Tong Che had not yet thought about it, nor did he dare think about it.
He only thought that even if Mr. Mu could be so kind to him, he would be ten times kinder to his future companion?
He could not imagine what it would be like, but he felt that Mr. Mu’s future partner would be very, very happy.
He also knew that this had nothing to do with him, but he pursed his lips and felt a sour and bitter taste in his mouth for no reason, just like eating an unripe orange.
“Hello… are you Tong Che?”
A hesitant woman’s voice suddenly sounded in his ears, and Tong Che suddenly came back to his senses and realised that he was standing on the side of the road in a daze.
Luckily, as this was the back entrance of the hospital, most of the people were preoccupied and no one noticed him, except, of course, the young Omega standing next to him.
Tong Che was about to say, “You’ve got the wrong person,” but out of the corner of his eye, he happened to glance at the young girl’s mobile phone case with his head on it. It seemed to be the same model he had endorsed.
After a pause, Tong Che stretched out his index finger and put it to his lips, “Shh,” and said softly, “I am. Do you want an autograph? I’ll sign it for you quietly, and then you can pretend you’ve not seen me, okay? ”
The girl’s eyes immediately filled with surprise. She nodded heavily and hurriedly fished out a book and pen from her bag and handed them to Tong Che.
Tong Che took them, signed his name carefully, and drew a small coconut with a simple pen next to it before handing it back to the girl beside him.
The little girl covered her mouth to stop herself from squealing, and she said quietly, “You’re so cute! I love you so much! You’re 10,000 times more handsome in person than you look in the camera! ”
At the end of her sentence, it was clear that she could not hold her voice down, so Tong Che hastily gestured to her again and turned around and dashed to the hospital door.
Only when he saw the girl leave did Tong Che breathe a sigh of relief. He pressed the brim of his hat down again and quickly entered the hospital with his head down.
After following the signs, he found the specific room number that Han Qing had given him, and only then did he realise that it was an intensive care ward.
His heart became a little heavy. Instead of knocking directly on the door, Tong Che leaned against the wall and dialled Han Qing first.
The phone only rang for a second before it was answered, then he heard the sound of quick footsteps, and then the door of the ward next to him opened.
The moment Han Qing appeared in the doorway, Tong Che was in a trance for a moment.
Tong Che thought that if he hadn’t been completely sure that the person in front of him was really Han Qing, if they had only bumped into each other by chance, he wouldn’t have recognised him.
As an Omega, he had a natural advantage in that his skin was more delicate than that of an Alpha or Beta, not to mention the fact that Han Qing was also a fellow trainee. Anyone who wants to enter the circle, no matter how humble the appearance, should be able to make ordinary passers-by take a second look.
But the person standing in front of Tong Che was as thin as a bone, his hair and skin were not shiny at all, the dark circles under his eyes were deep and heavy, and there were obvious sinkholes on both sides of his face.
“Chebao…”
As if he could see what was in Tong Che’s mind, Han Qing pulled at the corner of his mouth and laughed at himself, “Do you not recognise me anymore?”
Tong Che took a deep breath and looked at Han Qing with an extraordinarily complicated gaze. He was still angry with Han Qing for not telling him anything in the first place, for unilaterally breaking off the relationship with him, and, of course, he was even more angry with Han Qing for choosing to betray him in the end.
But looking at the person in front of him, who was almost out of shape, Tong Che felt that he could not be angry anymore and could only keep it to himself.
Although the relationship between the two of them had become like this, they had, after all, spent three years together. So Han Qing still knew Tong Che very well, and he smiled again and said, “Chebao, if you are angry, just scold me, or hit me. Don’t keep it to yourself.”
Tong Che tilted his head, blinked rapidly, barely managing to keep his tone, and began lightly, “There’s no need, I didn’t come for this.”
Then, without waiting for Han Qing to say anything else, Tong Che changed the subject and asked, somewhat hesitantly, “Is Auntie… still well?”
Han Qing smiled bitterly and turned to open the door of the ward, going inside first, and replied in a soft voice, “She’s just like this, mostly unconscious. But she occasionally wakes up, but her mind is not always clear. ”
Tong Che followed him in and saw a middle-aged woman lying on the bed inside. Her eyes were closed, and her body was full of different tubes. Probably because she had been sick for too long, her face was a deadly white colour.
Tong Che moved his eyes away and looked at the dark curtains. After a moment of silence, he asked, “Is there enough money left?”
Han Qing beside him froze in place for a long time before he suddenly laughed again, only this time the laugh sounded more like a cry, “Chebao, you are still so soft-hearted.”
Tong Che’s eyelashes trembled and he wanted to retort, but before he could open his mouth, he heard Han Qing let out a long sigh and say with remorse, “Chebao, the most regretful thing I have ever done in my life was to betray you.”
Tong Che pursed his lips and hung his head, his eyes falling aimlessly on a gap in the intersecting floor tiles. He was unable to describe the kind of emotion that was floating in his heart, but it could be called sadness.
He raised his eyes to look into Han Qing’s eyes and said, “Han Qing, there is no medicine for regret in this world. I regret that we have become like this now, but I will not forgive you, not now nor in the future. ”
Han Qing raised his hand to wipe his eyes. He nodded, sighed again, and said in a low voice, “I know, and I will never forgive myself.”
The two of them talked casually about their recent situation and then had nothing more to say. They had strayed too far apart after all.
When Tong Che walked out of the hospital, for a moment he felt as if his trip was meaningless, but soon he felt otherwise, because he felt what he called a sense of relief, a sense that this once cherished friend, this once cherished friendship, at this moment, had finally drawn an end note.
But even though he was relieved, Tong Che’s emotions couldn’t really rise for a short period of time, and he casually fished out his mobile phone before remembering that he had just forgotten to contact Mu Hanfeng.
He was about to send him a WeChat when he heard the familiar low voice from not far away, “Tong Tong.”
Tong Che immediately turned his head and his eyes lit up when he saw Mu Hanfeng sitting in a car on the side of the road, “Teacher Mu!”
Mu Hanfeng liked the brightened eyes of the little Omega, and he felt as if all the gloom that had been weighing on his heart all day had been dispelled in this instant.
He said, “Tong Tong, get in the car.”
Tong Che hesitated for a moment, but with a certain uncertainty in his mind, he decided to choose the passenger seat.
As soon as the door was closed, Mu Hanfeng leaned over to him and naturally fastened his seat belt.
The two of them were so close that Tong Che could feel the exhale of Mu Hanfeng’s nose on his face, and he subconsciously held his breath.
It was only when Mu Hanfeng had already straightened up and the car was driving away that Tong Che came back to his senses. He reacted and looked at Mu Hanfeng with some surprise, “Teacher Mu, you actually drove yourself today.”
Mu Hanfeng responded and explained, “I went somewhere and didn’t want others to follow me.”
Tong Che said, “Oh,” and realised that it should be the personal matter that Mu Hanfeng had mentioned yesterday, so he asked no more questions. But the next moment, Mu Hanfeng said, “In the future, if possible, I will take you with me.”
Tong Che was stunned. He felt that Mu Hanfeng’s tone when saying this was a bit strange, as if he was very serious and solemn, but also as if he was deliberately suppressing something.
However, Tong Che was not one to ask questions, so he just nodded his head, straightened his expression, and seriously replied, “yes.”
The car drove all the way out of the city and stopped in front of a rustic and elegantly decorated house with a plaque hanging on the door with four big letters: ” Uncle Hui’s Private Kitchen”-written in bold letters.
Only then did Tong Che remember that he had never asked Mu Hanfeng where they were going, and Mu Hanfeng had not mentioned it to him either.
When they got out of the car, Mu Hanfeng looked at him and said, “The owner of this restaurant and I have known each other for many years. I really like his cooking, so I wanted to bring you here to try it. I apologise for not asking you in advance. Are you mad that I made my own decisions?”
Tong Che hurriedly shook his head, “How could I?”
He couldn’t be happier that Mr. Mu was willing to take him to such a private place!
Seeing that the little Omega’s reaction was heartfelt happiness, the corners of Mu Hanfeng’s lips relaxed, and the two of them walked in side by side.
The waitress inside was obviously familiar with Mu Hanfeng and wasn’t surprised to see him, but she couldn’t hide her surprise when her eyes fell on the omega next to him.
Mu Hanfeng noticed and coughed softly. The waitress withdrew her eyes in panic and guided the two to the private room that had been reserved for them.
The interior of the room kept up with the style of the outside, very classical, yet not boring, and very elegant.
The waitress only took them to the door and left. Just after Tong Che and Mu Hanfeng sat down, a middle-aged man appeared at the door. The man looked in his fifties, and he was probably an Alpha. Wearing a Chinese tunic suit, he exuded a capable temperament all over his body.
Mu Hanfeng opened his mouth and called out, “Uncle Hui.”
It was only two words, but Tong Che sensitively heard the respect and the closeness he felt towards his elders.
Tong Che was slightly stunned and thought to himself that this Uncle Hui must have a very special place in Mu Hanfeng’s heart.
Thinking this, he was inexplicably a little nervous, and he even wanted to stand up and bow to the man.
But Mu Hanfeng seemed to have sensed his intention, and his hand, which was hidden under the table, reached out and patted the back of his hand soothingly, saying in a gentle voice, “Relax.”
Tong Che’s cheeks burned, but at least he didn’t think about bowing again. He stood up and greeted him seriously, “Hello, Uncle Hui, my name is Tong Che. I’m Mr. Mu’s… Mr. Mu’s…”
Halfway through his sentence, Tong Che suddenly got stuck.
If he were to say that he was Mu Hanfeng’s fan, he felt he wouldn’t be really satisfied with this relationship in his heart. And even if he did say it, this Uncle Hui might not necessarily understand what “fan” meant.
However, if he wanted to say that he was a friend, he found he could not say it for some reason.
As he was hesitating, Mu Hanfeng laughed and took over, “Little friend.”
Tong Che was stunned. His first reaction was that Mu Hanfeng was calling him, and although he didn’t know why there was a new name, he turned his head and looked over.
The next moment, however, he heard Mu Hanfeng say the whole thing, “It’s Mr. Mu’s little friend.”
Tong Che’s heart jumped heavily…
The word “friend” was clearly used, but the word “little” was added in front of it, and it came from Mr. Mu’s mouth, so it altogether!
Uncle Hui smiled in understanding and said amiably, “How is young master Tong? Young Master Tong and our young master must be on very good terms, as this is the first time in many years that the young master has brought someone here. ”
Obviously, Tong Che had never heard of this kind of address before, and he froze for two seconds before he realised that the “young master” in Uncle Hui’s mouth meant Mu Hanfeng.
Mu Hanfeng was helpless and explained to Tong Che, “Uncle Hui used to be the chef of the Mu family, and I grew up eating his cooking since I was a child. Don’t worry. He has called me that for almost 30 years.
This was the first time that Tong Che had heard Mu Hanfeng talk about family-related matters, so he was a bit surprised, but did not ask more questions and just nodded.
Mu Hanfeng also changed the subject, pushing the menu to Tong Che and asking him, “What do you want to eat? Take a look for yourself. ”
Tong Che opened the menu, but after flipping through two pages, he pushed it back to Mu Hanfeng, saying, “Teacher Mu, I can eat anything.”
When he said that, Mu Hanfeng was not surprised. If he could really order a table of dishes according to his heart, it would not be Tong Che.
At least not the current Tong Che, and in the future…
In the future, Mu Hanfeng lowered his eyes and smiled to himself. In the future, he would try his best to make Tong Che have more of his own way.
Mu Hanfeng closed the menu and asked Tong Che, “So should we according to my taste? I like it salty and fresh. Are you used to it? ”
Tong Che nodded hastily, “Yes, I’m used to it.”
He quietly added in his mind that it would be better if there was dessert.
Although he had always controlled himself from eating sweets, it would be nice to have one for a taste.
Tong Che himself probably did not know that his expression was too understandable to Mu Hanfeng.
Hd held back his laughter and said to Uncle Hui, “Just follow the old order, and add a cherry jelly.”
Sure enough, after he said the last words, Tong Che’s eyes lit up even more.
Uncle Hui responded with a smile and exited the private room to do the dishes.
….
The dishes were served quickly, each one beautifully presented in small dishes. Just like Mu Hanfeng said, most of them were not spicy, but salty and fresh, so they should be southern dishes.
Tong Che had not eaten much of this cuisine before, but he found it very tasty and sighed from the bottom of his heart, “It’s delicious!”
Mu Hanfeng took a sip of tea and smiled, “If you like it, you can come here more often.”
Tong Che showed his little dimples.
Thinking of something, he casually asked, “Is it because Uncle Hui is from the south?”
Otherwise, Mu Hanfeng grew up in Yangcheng. Why would he grow up eating southern food?
Mu Hanfeng’s hand, which was holding his chopsticks, paused slightly and was silent before he said, “My mother is from the south.”
This time, Tong Che paused.
He still remembered the question he had been asked during the recording of the program.
If you could use one word to describe your mother/father who gave birth to you, what would you use?
What Mu Hanfeng said at that time was, “I don’t have an impression.”
He had a Huint thought in his heart but was hesitant to ask, when he heard Mu Hanfeng say, “She has been dead for twenty-eight years.”
Tong Che was shocked. Twenty-eight years ago…
If he remembered correctly, Mu Hanfeng was exactly twenty-eight years old this year.
In that case, didn’t Mr. Mu have no mother since he was a child?
Tong Che couldn’t help but look at Mu Hanfeng, but saw that he was looking sideways at his food and not at him. His deep black eyes, hidden behind the lens, were as quiet and astringent as usual, making it impossible for people to see his emotions.
Tong Che’s lips moved. Wanting to say something, but not knowing what to say, he only opened his mouth and called out, “Teacher Mu…”
Only when the words left his mouth did Tong Che realise that his tone of voice was so soft that it was a mess.
Mu Hanfeng turned his head and looked over at him with a smile in his eyes, “Tong Tong, I don’t even feel anything anymore. Why are you crying?”
Tong Che was so ashamed and angry that he lowered his head and retorted in a small voice, “I didn’t.”
Mu Hanfeng was about to say something else when there was a knock on the door of the private room. It was Uncle Hui himself who came to serve the food, which happened to be the dessert-cherry blossom jelly.
“Little Master Tong, try it,” Uncle Hui said with a bright smile, “it’s my best dessert.”
Tong Che lifted his head and swallowed as soon as his eyes fell on the tray in Uncle Hui’s hand.
The crystal clear custard was covered with light pink cherry blossom petals, which was delicious at first glance.
Mu Hanfeng reached out to take it, scooped up a small spoonful and fed it directly into Tong Che’s mouth.
Tong Che was stunned and habitually ducked his head again, “Mr. Mu…I can just eat it myself. ”
However, Mu Hanfeng did not let go of him, and even moved closer to him and asked, in a low voice next to his ear, “Tong Tong, have you forgotten how I lit a cigarette for you last time?”
Lit… a cigarette…
How? Of course, it was mouth-to-mouth!
But there was at least a cigarette in between, but now…
Tong Che’s whole body was so hot that it looked like it could burn up. He opened his mouth and took Mu Hanfeng’s hand, and swallowed the spoonful of milk jelly in one gulp.
But Mu Hanfeng did not think it was enough. He even asked him, “Tong Tong, is it delicious?”
The tips of Tong Che’s ears were so red that they could bleed. He didn’t actually taste it, but he still nodded, “Yes… it’s delicious!”
Seeing the little Omega’s appearance, Mu Hanfeng’s eyes deepened with a smile, and he let out a silent sigh of relief. After his teasing, the little Omega won’t remember to feel sorry for him.
……
Uncle Hui quietly backed out, not bothering the two of them again.
After taking two steps, he couldn’t help but sigh with relief. He was relieved to see that the young master Mu was no longer alone in his lifetime.
After finishing their meal, Tong Che and Mu Hanfeng chatted with Uncle Hui for a while, and when it was almost time, they left.
Mu Hanfeng drove the car, and the two of them went to the program headquarters together.
It wasn’t the first week of recording, so there were no rules, and they all got on the bus to the new destination.
This time there was nothing to do on the way, their luggage had already been sent by the program team, so there was no need to check it.
Wang Qi also said that they didn’t need to choose a room this time, as they had booked a whole B&B with exactly four rooms, which meant that they would all be staying together but sleep in separate rooms.
The atmosphere on the way was very relaxed and everyone was chatting happily.
Of course, Tong Che and Mu Hanfeng spoke the least, mainly listening to the other four. Tong Che would respond in kind, and Mu Hanfeng would only occasionally say, “hmm.”
After about half an hour, the car stopped and Wang Qi waved his hand, “Here we are, get off.”
When he got off the car, he saw a three-story building. It was already dark and there was little light around, so Tong Che couldn’t tell what kind of place it was.
Wang Qi guided the group in and walked upstairs, briefly introducing them as he went, “The ground floor is the living room, dining room, and kitchen, the first floor has two rooms, the third floor has two rooms, each room has its own bathroom; I sleep on the third floor; the other rooms are at your disposal, and they are all basically the same size.”
As soon as he finished, Yin Lan said, “Then Xiao and I will stay on the third floor too, in case Director Wang snores too loudly, we can’t disturb you omegas.”
Wang Qi glared at him, “If you snore too loudly yourself, just say so, I won’t take the blame.”
Everyone laughed.
When they reached the first floor, Tong Che, Mu Hanfeng, Ning Ran, and Mi Beibei stopped, and Wang Qi continued to go upstairs.
Two steps up, Wang Qi turned his head again and reminded them, smiling meaningfully, “You all go to bed early tonight. Tomorrow’s show will be very exciting.”
But now that the camera was off, no one was there to give him a cheer, and all they did was say “I see” with a lack of interest.
Wang Qi didn’t care, he turned around and went on upstairs.
Downstairs, Mu Hanfeng looked at Ning Ran and Mi Beibei and said, “Which room are you sleeping in?”
Ning Ran didn’t push him, and pointed to the one near her, “This is the one.”
Mu Hanfeng nodded and turned to open the door to the other room. Tong Che said good night to both of them and turned to follow.
However, when the door opened and they saw the layout inside, both Tong Che and Mu Hanfeng froze.
He didn’t know if tomorrow was really going to be exciting or not, but right now, Tong Che felt that this was already fucking exciting!
