Lop-Eared Guard - Chap 35
Yan Yi was lying on his back in the shadow of the snow-white fenced wall, his hands pillowed as he threw a strawberry into his mouth. He licked his fingers as long as he liked and reached into the fence to try to steal another one.
“The young master is coming back today.”
Several servants picked fresh strawberries in the garden behind the Lu residence and chatted about the news they had just received.
The little rabbit ears suddenly stood up. Yan Yi stood on his tiptoes in surprise, flipped over the fenced wall and ran.
For a seven year old child, the Lu residence looked like a castle soaring into the clouds.
The melodious sound of a piano came out from an open glass window. On his tiptoes, Yan Yi held the windowsill with his little hands and half his body hanging on the windowsill with difficulty. His fluffy tail ball hung behind his butt, his big eyes flickering as he peeked inside.
A young boy was sitting in front of the grand piano. He was wearing a school uniform, and his pair of smooth and flawless long hands jumped across the keys. It seemed as though a noble and gentle light was emitting from his head to toes.
Yan Yi pricked up his ears, afraid he might miss a note.
He really liked the little prince in the castle.
Suddenly, Lu Shangjin seemed to have felt something strange from behind him. The sound of the piano stopped abruptly and he looked back at the window.
Yan Yi fell onto the ground nervously and immediately huddled himself into a ball, covering his eyes as his little tail ball trembled in fear.
After a while, he realized that he hadn’t been caught peeping.
He let go of his hands, but saw a cold and handsome face of a young boy in front of him.
Lu Shangjin squatted on his heels and touched Yan Yi’s soft ears, feeling a little surprised, “Little bunny…?”
After being in a daze for a long time, Yan Yi’s face turned red.
He was huddled up in fear and shyness, like a little meatball that grew a pair of rabbit ears and a fluffy ball tail, trembling as he said:
“It sounds good.”
Really. Lu Shangjin’s eyes curved.
He touched Yan Yi’s soft hair again.
“You’re very cute.”
“Your face is so soft.” Lu Shangjin pinched Yan Yi’s little white face that was like milk-jelly, only then did he understand what the idiom “it can break from blowing” meant.
Yan Yi blinked his big eyes, the left side of his little face was pinched red.
The corner of Lu Shangjin’s lips perked up.
“Call me Jin ge.”
“Jin ge…” Yan Yi called obedietnly, being careful not to move.
“I’ll cover you from now on, little bunny.”
