Lop-Eared Guard - Chap 64

“It’s an honour to work with President Lu this time.”
“You’re welcome.”
Lu Shangjin and a female omega customer came out of the company building together. The omega’s hair was a dark brown wave draped over her shoulder. She was dressed smartly and elegantly, holding a black folder in her hand.
They talked for a while about things unrelated to work as they walked out of the company. When the omega saw the wedding ring on the ring finger of Lu Shangjin’s left hand, she asked with a light smile, “Is President Lu married?”
“Over ten years.” Lu Shangjin’s fingers rubbed the ring surface, his eyes suddenly changed from strict to gentle, soft as if warm water was flowing.
By Friday, Lu Shangjin cleaned up all the matters of the week in advance. He left work early and planned to buy sea bass stew for Yan Yi to drink.
The omega covered her face as she smiled, “Your lover must also be a very good person to have met an alpha like you.”
Without being modest, Lu Shangjin accepted with pleasure, thinking, he has simply charmed me to death, while opening the door for the omega.
When the omega’s car drove out of sight, another car was revealed on the opposite side of the road that was blocked. Lu Shangjin froze in place and the corner of his eyebrows twitched hard–
The door of the explosive bright red ferrari slowly opened. An omega wearing mirrored sunglasses got out of the driver’s seat and leaned against the car door.
Yan Yi leaned against the car door and looked at Lu Shangjin for a while. He held his breath as he sat on the front hood of the car, crossing his legs with a death stare in the direction of the car that had just driven away.
Lu Shangjin picked Yan Yi up from the front hood of the car, his right hand cupping his jaw and tilting it up, “What are you driving it out for?”
Yan Yi frowned, “I picked a nice one out of your garage. You’re the one who said, ‘what’s yours is mine.’”
Right. Lu Shangin forgot that Yan Yi’s fingerprint and iris had previously been entered into the villa security system, so he could just open the garage and key cabinet as he wanted.
“Come up,” Lu Shangjin got into the driver’s seat, “Children can’t be on the road, it’s too dangerous.”
Yan Yi quickly wormed into the passenger seat, grabbed Lu Shangjin’s tie, and pulled him towards himself, “What’s up with sending the omega off just now?”
Lu Shangjin took the sunglasses off of him, tutting as he took measure of him, “Why are you getting more and more complacent recently? I’ve spoiled you, haven’t I?”
“I’m asking you.” Yan Yi tugged on Lu Shangjin’s tie, his rabbit ears standing up in alert, eyes unhappy, “Who is she? I heard her voice when I called you the other day. You didn’t even come home this afternoon, have you been with her the whole time?”
“Yes.” Lu Shangjin propped his forearm against Yan Yi’s seat, letting him tug on his tie, and lowered his head to whisper in his ear, “I’ve been with her this week.”
As Yan Yi heard this, his pupils quivered and his hands loosened a little, the wrinkled tie slipping out of his palm.
“Talking about business together, baobei.” Lu Shangjin hugged him before picking up the lost hanging rabbit ears and kissed them, “I’m sorry, I was just kidding.”
Yan Yi’s expression stiffened. He took his little ears and jerked them out of Lu Shangjin’s hands. He then sat sideways on the passenger seat, hugging his legs with his back to Lu Shangjin, feeling angry from embarrassment.
“I was wrong, I was joking,” Lu Shangjin put his hand on his shoulder, but Yan Yi impatiently shook it off.
Lu Shangjin smiled helplessly and drove off.
“To make it up to you, I’ll take you to a fun place.” Lu Shangjin pulled his tie loose with one hand and casually tossed it to the side before fishing out a box of Timothy hay from his pocket, stuffing it under the little rabbit’s snow-white tail ball.
The little tail shook impatiently.
Lu Shangjin pulled out two more fruit carrots from another pocket.
Yan Yi turned around, picked up the box of Timothy hay and took the carrot, taking a bite:
“…What fun place?”
Lu Shangjin scratched his chin, “Are you going or not? If not, we’ll go home to eat.”
“Go, go go go.” Yan Yi’s eyes brightened, pushing all the vinegar he had just eaten to the back of his mind.
It was knowledge to make sixteen year old teenagers happy. Lu Shangjin’s time and mind outside of his work had mostly been focused on this knowledge. The raising manual of lop-eared rabbits was no longer applicable.
His little rabbit had now grown into a cool teenager.
When the car drove into the suburban tracks of Chang Hui, Yan Yi plastered against the glass, looking at the field full of sports cars and racing cars in amazement, his eyes shining.
Lu Shangjin got out of the car and said hello to Bi Ruijing who was walking this way.
Bi Ruijing walked over with a thin cigarette in his left hand. He finished the front part of the cigar with a few puffs, and savored the powerful smoke of the last part.
“Why did you think of coming here to play?”
Lu Shangjin’s gaze swept behind him. Yan Yi was chewing on carrots in the passenger seat looking at him.
“Came to make a formal apology to our little friend.”
“How disgusting, so disgusting that I’m getting goosebumps all over.” Bi Ruijing frowned and sneered, his gaze firmly drawn in by the beautiful and eye-catching red Ferrari not too far away, “You drove this car to run from me? This apology is sincere enough, come back and let me drive to satisfy my craving.”
Bi Ruijing’s fascination with cars could be on par with how captivated he was to his wife. He had built a track on the outskirts of Chang Hui himself so it was convenient to play with those like-minded rich second generation people.
“Recently, Ping-zi has started worrying about his little brother again. I heard that Xiao Jing-zi skipped class and went to Nan Qi, leaving behind an address to a bar.”
“What’s up, is Yan Yi’s body doing better?” Bi Ruijing leaned against the wall, looking at Yan Yi up and down with a bit of pity, “He was such a good A3.”
“Pretty good, and besides, I never looked at him at that grade.” Lu Shangjin picked up a navigation map and looked at it.
“That’s right, there’s nothing good about being a high grade.” Bi Ruijing laughed, “The one in my house tramples me all day long.”
“Hey, sister-in-law is coming.” Lu Shangjin put down the navigation map as he looked through Bi Ruijing and behind him.
Bi Ruijing immediately snuffed out the cigarette and turned around. There was nothing behind him. He froze for a moment before coming back to his senses and cursed, “Bastard, I’ll double the gas price.”
The steep slopes and sharp turns of the suburban track were not much, but the speed of the ferrari was enough to be stimulating. Yan Yi was so excited that his face turned red as he grabbed Lu Shangjin’s arm, occasionally screaming loudly when they turned a sharp corner and giggling afterwards.
The scenery outside the window quickly disintegrated into a billowing line. Lu Shangjin averted his gaze to take a glance at the greatly delighted little rabbit, the corner of his lips raising slightly.
Suddenly, Yan Yi casually asked him, “How come I can never catch up to you? If you have any techniques, please teach me.”
Lu Shangjin’s expression suddenly froze.
In a trance, he was once again sitting on the edge of a cliff in Yungas road, the look in Yan Yi’s eyes was gloomy and confused, “Jin ge, how come I can never catch up to you?”
The car was parked at the lake. Lu Shangjin pushed Yan Yi to the side of the rock, holding his shoulders with both hands and looking down at him deeply.
There was no moon tonight. The starry sky shrouded above the track was as bright and brilliant as Yongas road, the weak starlight spreading a faint layer on Yan Yi’s cheeks.
Yan Yi tilted his head slightly, the vague impression of looking at each other from afar surging in his mind. Inside his brain, it was like an exam paper with the answers covered up by correction fluid. Every time he turned the page, he felt uncertain and yet a sense of deja vu.
Only three months were flipped on the calendar. However, Yan Yi felt that many years had passed. For those who hadn’t experienced it, this alpha was trying to make him his own.
He had also played a song for himself at home last night, and Yan Yi still clearly remembered the melody of “Utakata” and the mottled scars on this alpha’s hands.
In this vague impression, there was a little prince playing the piano on the stars, but the far distant music was not for him.
The eyes of the alpha in front of him were full of sentimental attachment and doting. Every time he touched him, it was with patience and restraint, and he would hold himself tightly when he couldn’t help it, saying sorry again and again.
Just like now. His pupils were trembling, and he suddenly hugged him tightly, the muscle-tight arms making it difficult for Yan Yi to breathe.
What a pitiful alpha. He must have lost something precious before that he was trembling with fear, like a traveller cautiously walking on ice, afraid of falling.
Yan Yi patted his waist lightly, “So tight…”
Lu Shangjin hurriedly loosened his grip. He lowered his head, his forehead pressed against his, and said in a muffled voice, “I don’t need you to chase after me anymore, not in the future.”
His heart was beating hard. In the silent night, the muffled thud could be heard through his shirt. Yan Yi nervously raised his hand to touch it, and in the left pocket of the shirt was the paper crane Yan Yi folded.
There was no wind at night. The Milky Way spilled onto the lake behind them, falling into Yan Yi’s eyes, glistening brightly.
He grabbed Yan Yi’s hand, which was so young and inexperienced that he hid it behind his back, and clasped it with his ten fingers. Lowering his head, he gently kissed between his brows, then kissed along the bridge of the nose to the tip of a small, upright nose, before kissing the corner of his soft lips.
A low, slightly muffled voice pressed against Yan Yi’s ear for consent:
“Can I kiss?”
Yan Yi lowered his eyelids, his eyelashes trembling. His soft lips parted slightly, and Lu Shangjin immediately took his upper lip in excitement, a small ear was also held in the warm and wide palm.
The kiss from the little prince was sympathetic, a reward for looking down from a commanding height which was unable to convey the enthusiastic romantic feeling like now, unable to convey the pain and cherishment.
Lu Shangjin sucked slightly on his upper lip, then tenderly took his lower lip. The tip of his tongue easily invaded the mouth, licking through his teeth and intertwining their tongues together, as they exchanged a hot and lingering wet kiss.
“Yan Yan, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you……”
The rose you sent me is still in bloom, can I be the one chasing the light?
