Lop-Eared Guard - Chap 82
Dr. Zhong intercepted Lu Shangjin outside the delivery room and solemnly informed him that his injuries were severe and that he needed enough glandular energy to recover. But seeing him preparing to use two injections of strong energy serum, Lu Shangjin feared that he would exhaust all his comforting pheromones on the delivery bed.
He paced restlessly outside, seemingly listening to Dr. Zhong’s advice, but his eyes kept wandering towards the delivery room.
Dr. Zhong wasn’t afraid to offend Lu Shangjin and firmly said, “We have two alpha doctors in our hospital who are highly compatible with Yan Yi. Let them do it.” Yan Yi wasn’t marked and could be comforted by other alphas.
But it wasn’t the same.
If he could spare Yan Yi some pain, he could tolerate another alpha comforting him. But this time, he wouldn’t let him suffer alone.
By the time Lu Shangjin detoxed, Yan Yi had already started having contractions. Lying on the delivery bed, he endured the intense pain in waves, his eyes scanning between the busy midwives and doctors, but he couldn’t find the person he wanted to see.
The courage he had to break through the siege in a hail of bullets disappeared in an instant. Yan Yi clenched his hands and became increasingly frightened, trembling uncontrollably.
After the initial differentiation of his glands, he was strapped onto the surgical table and subjected to various tests. They took samples of his stem cells, observed his electrical responses, applied hot and cold stimuli, and simulated bullet wounds to observe his heart rate and glandular stress response.
Researchers in isolation suits used different instruments to experiment on him, sending pulses of electric current through his body. Each time, the excruciating pain added to the already near-collapse state of his nerves. Then came the injections, which corroded every blood vessel in his body like strong acid.
He could only stare with dilated pupils at the circular window on the laboratory door, waiting for someone to rescue him from this hell.
The midwife kept urging him to relax and conserve his strength, but the more she spoke, the more nervous he became. After spreading his legs, his small tail trembled violently.
As the contractions hit him, Yan Yi’s whole body stiffened, unable to move. His body was drenched in cold sweat, as if he had returned to the days when he was bound to the experimental table and tortured.
Suddenly, his hand was pulled into a warm palm, and a comforting pheromone slowly enveloped him. Lu Shang approached him and reassured him in a low voice, telling him not to be afraid.”
Yan Yi raised his eyes in panic and held tightly onto Lu Shangjin’s hand, afraid that he would leave. Lu Shangjin could feel the sweat in his palm.
Without showing any nervousness, Lu Shangjin comforted Yan Yi in a calm and steady voice, even though his hand trembled violently beneath the birthing bed. His heart was tight and painful, and it felt like it could snap with just a gentle touch.
He said that their baby was a well-behaved child and he didn’t want to see Yan Yi suffer for too long. He also said that he had always loved Yan Yi and had never stopped thinking about him.
Yan Yi cried and accused Lu Shangjin of lying, but he still held onto Alpha’s hand tightly with white-knuckled fingers. His slender legs trembled slightly.
Lu Shangjin’s gaze remained fixated on the cigarette burn on Yan Yi’s thigh.
That day, Yan Yi had looked at him with a humble and crazed expression, begging him in broken sentences to mark him. He had pressured Lu Shangjin into making a decision he couldn’t refuse, and before he knew it, the cigarette butt in his hand had landed on Yan Yi’s leg, uncontrollably trying to silence him.
Then he ran away, crouching in the stairwell, extinguishing the cigarette butts on his hand again and again. Using pain as a memory to produce a conditioned reflex, he was Pavlov’s dog for the three years he didn’t love her.
The icy, wet sensation that fell onto his hand awakened him, and he suddenly woke up to see Yan Yi crying.
Crying again, the little rabbit in his heart was afraid of pain and cowardly.
Lu Shangjin held his hand tightly, constantly telling him, “I won’t leave, I will take good care of Yan Yan.”
So good at crying, it’s really worrying.
Lu Shangjin continuously released a super high concentration of soothing pheromones for nearly ten hours. If the doctors in the delivery room weren’t wearing protective gear, they would have been dizzy and swollen from the M2-level pheromones.
When he was trying to push the distressed little Lu Yan out, Yan Yi wanted to run away. He didn’t want to give birth, he was so scared of the pain. He wanted to escape and run into Alpha’s arms, just like when he was a child. As long as he threw himself into Brother Jin’s arms, he would be well-protected, not cold, not hungry, not in pain, couldn’t hear thunder, and didn’t need to wait alone in the dark for dawn.
Yan Yi was already very tired, but when he sensitively sensed that Lu Shangjin was looking at his legs, he went crazy and hit him, tremblingly saying not to look.
He heard Alpha whispering beside him, “Yan Yan is now a father, but he’s still my little bunny.”
I haven’t seen it, it’s very clean. Go back and clean your little tail, and you’ll be clean, Yanyan.”
Suddenly, Yan Yi burst into tears and laughter. His alpha was so silly and obedient, even more silly than before. It took him three years to clumsily navigate through the maze and return to Yan Yi’s side.
When Lu Yan came out, he cried like a little horn, as if he were extremely aggrieved and heartbroken like a father. His wet bunny ears stuck to his cheeks, and his bald little tail shook with his crying.
There was no difficult delivery, no heavy bleeding, and no episiotomy. The doctors all said that this alpha was too good at comforting people. If they listened carefully, their bones might turn to mush.
Yan Yi lay weakly on the delivery bed, with a pale face and shallow gray hair soaked with cold sweat stuck to his forehead. He had no strength left and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But Lu Shangjin knelt down with a thump beside him, leaning against Yan Yi’s arm, his shoulders shaking.
Yan Yi was too weak to speak, he just tilted his head and looked at his alpha’s confused behavior.
Lu Shangjin raised his face, his eyes red and choked up, and asked him, “Did my wife get hurt badly? My legs are weak.”
After finally coaxing Yan Yi to sleep, Lu Shangjin was forcibly taken to the wound-cleaning room by the doctors to have his injuries rechecked, while Dr. Zhong examined the exhaustion level of his glands. As a newly minted alpha father, Lu Shangjin was a bit crazy and asked Dr. Zhong to give him energy supplements. He wanted to soothe his omega and also see his baby.
Dr. Zhong gave him an ultimatum that he must undergo the final stage of surgical treatment within two days, or else he would face amputation. This scared Lu Shangjin and made him finally take the surgery seriously, so he scheduled a surgery time with the doctor.
When he returned to the hospital room, Yan Yi was curled up on his side sleeping, with a small bunny next to him also sleeping, with a red wrinkled face. Lu Shangjin leaned over to kiss Yan Yi’s forehead, then sat down and gently touched his son’s tender, tofu-like legs. Lu Yan kicked his small feet in response, and Lu Shangjin happily lay down, using his fingers to measure the chubby, potato-like feet that were only two finger joints in size and cute enough to make him lose his mind.
After a while, Lu Shangjin stiffened his face and seriously scrutinized his son. He felt that since Yan Yan had suffered so much, he should be taught a good lesson. But because he was an omega rabbit, he was simply like a little Yan Yan, and how could he bear to discipline him?
In his heart, Lu Shangjin considered several suitable kindergartens, arranged his high school subjects, selected several university majors for him, and thought about which recently born alpha from which family could be paired with his son.
Yan Yi slowly opened his eyes and heard someone chattering endlessly in his ear.”

Upon waking up, Lu Shangjin was actually teaching Lu Yan how to slice an apple on land, muttering to himself that Lu Yan’s father was a picky eater and that Lu Yan would have to take good care of him when he went to work. Lu Yan, with his little hands raised, was sleeping with his eyes squinted, still being forced to learn how to slice an apple in his dreams.
Suddenly, Lu Shangjin realized that Yan Yi had woken up and wiped his hands to help him up. Yan Yi naturally stretched out his hand and was gently held under the armpit by Lu Shangjin, who lifted him up onto his lap.
Alpha lightly rubbed his collarbone with his nose and asked if he still felt pain.
Yan Yi was still a little weak, pillow on Lu Shangjin’s shoulder, gently holding onto his collar. He slightly relied on Alpha’s scent, quietly sniffing the narcissus scent on him.
Lu Shangjin instinctively released a soothing pheromone for him, holding up little Lu Yan for him to see.
Seeing that it was a little bunny omega, Yan Yi suddenly looked at Lu Shangjin in a panic, tightening the hand holding his collar.
Lu Shangjin didn’t notice Yan Yi’s expression, lowered his head to kiss sleeping Lu Yan, and then kissed Yan Yi: “Look at his short and bald little ears, so funny.”
Yan Yi pushed away his hand, gently put Lu Yan’s small ears back in place, and touched the tiny fluff on top, whispering that all bunnies are born like this.
Lu Shangjin lightly laughed and rubbed his nose against him, murmuring and comforting him that his baby had worked hard.

At first, breastfeeding wasn’t going smoothly. Lu Shangjin turned off the lights and helped Yan Yi clear his blockage.
Yan Yi was in pain from the sucking and kicked and pinched Lu Shangjin’s arm, leaving nail marks.
“Yanyan, you really cry a lot,” Lu Shangjin was softened by the little bunny, but he was still hard below. Although the little bunny was fierce, Lu Shangjin had to half-coax and half-threaten him to suck. Yan Yi turned over in anger and covered his swollen nipple, his eyes turning red.
“Don’t touch, it hurts.”
Lu Shangjin could only coax the child like a child. The baby cried loudly from hunger, and his soft and tearful little wife on his legs was in pain, leaving Lu Shangjin unsure of whom to kneel down to first.
After two days of care, Yan Yi’s spirits recovered well. When he held the baby to breastfeed, Lu Shangjin hugged him from behind, kissed his ear, and made Yan Yi happy, and they started to discuss things.
He had to undergo surgery and wouldn’t be able to take care of his wife and child for the next few days.
When Alpha said this, he was a little discouraged. He also wanted to stay with Yan Yi and the baby all the time. He was even too lazy to go to work after the long holiday because he truly felt as the Alpha of the family that he was needed and relied upon.
Yan Yi nodded seriously, telling Lu Shangjin to have a safe surgery.

Lifting up Lu Shangjin, Bai Qiangu put him on the windowsill and looked up at him, asking how he could be so obedient. Before the surgery, she had promised Bai Qiangu to take good care of Yan Yi and kissed him before entering the operating room.
Yan Yi didn’t say anything, but he knew that when Lu Shangjin returned, he would comfort him with soothing pheromones and wouldn’t let Alpha suffer in silence.
The Clear Poison surgery did not use general anesthesia, and with the assistance of Dr. Zhong’s J1 differentiation ability, the entire process was relatively clear-headed for Lu Shangjin. However, his right eyelid kept twitching, which was not a good sign.
Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the operating room, and the hospital’s alarm went off with a series of sharp noises.
Lu Shangjin was anxious to stand up but was pressed back down by Dr. Zhong. He rushed out to see what was happening.
There was a muffled sound from the operating room door, and Dr. Zhong stumbled in, clutching his stomach as blood poured out of the bullet hole on his abdomen. Xia Pingtian, who was holding a gun, hugged him and hid behind the operating room door, firing continuously outside with a predatory look in his eyes, like an angry lion.
Several armed teams wearing PBB uniforms broke into the Anfia Hospital, and Xia Pingtian shouted inside, “Yan Yi has been taken away!”
Lu Shangjin was like falling into an ice cave. He ripped off his IV line and grabbed about ten surgical knives, rushing out of the operating room while dodging bullets in the corridor. He rolled on the ground and threw four knives with his left hand, immediately opening a line through the heads of four PBB members.
Supporting his painful right shoulder, Lu Shangjin rushed towards Yan Yi’s ward. When he arrived, the entire wall of the ward had been blown away, and Yan Yi and the baby were nowhere to be seen.
