Mr. Dior - Chap 58
After much haggling, the great King got his way, and Embraced his little sacrificial lamb as he wished. This adorable little creature was no longer his bloodslave, and was now his pampered little wife.
After the Embrace ended, Mr Vampire happily carried his pampered little wife to take a bath. Newly turned vampires were extremely frail – they didn’t even have the energy to lift a finger, and all their needs had to be taken care of by someone else.
Jiao Qi was washed inside and out, then had his hair dried before being stuffed into the warm blankets on his bed. Mr Dior cuddled his freshly baked little wife and sighed in satisfaction. “From society’s point of view, I am your husband. But according to the rules of the vampires, I am the one who gave you new life, and am therefore your father,” he said.
“Scram!” Jiao Qi kicked him from inside the blankets. They’d already been through the character where Zhang Chenfei thought that he was his godfather – they were not going through that again!
“It’s true,” Zhang Chenfei said, grabbing hold of the leg that tried to kick him and putting it on his thigh. “However, I’d prefer not to have that kind of relationship. I want you to be my wife.”
Jiao Qi was half-asleep and didn’t want to bother with him. He yawned deeply, then discovered to his surprise that his nose wasn’t blocked any more. It was probably due to their very sweaty and vigorous activity earlier.
“Naturally. Now that you’re a vampire, you won’t age or die. Your body’s regenerative abilities will also get stronger,” Zhang Chenfei said. He had been on tenterhooks about Jiao Qi’s health for the last two days and he could finally heave a sigh of relief. He looked very pleased with himself. “You don’t have to worry about your health any more.”
The beautiful youth had turned into a powerful vampire, and he didn’t have to fear the Grim Reaper coming to call.
Jiao Qi had ignored his Laogong for some time now. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the fellow right next to him on the bed. Big Cock Zhang hadn’t slept well in two days now, and he snored a little in between sentences.
“You great fool…” Jiao Qi said softly. His words were spoken rather harshly, but his actions were tender; he raised a hand and tousled Zhang Chenfei’s hair, and couldn’t help smiling to himself.
The next Monday, the weather finally took a turn for the better. Now that Mr Dior no longer needed to worry about other vampires coveting his little wife, he sent him to Bajiao Inc. with no qualms whatsoever, and didn’t bother him the entire day. Jiao Qi was very pleased with this development; he managed to work in peace for a whole day.
BBQ had sent over a new season lineup of dramas, and it included the vampire serial that was all the rage at the moment. This was BBQ’s star product of the year. BBQ’s offer to let Bajiao buy it spoke volumes of their sincerity.
Because of the vampire in his house in recent days, Jiao Qi felt a strange affinity for this genre of shows, and he agreed to buy the rights.
KY, who had not been heard from in quite some time, sent an email over.
I knew that you’d love that drama. I’m very sorry about the situation before. Please let me explain a little. Everyone has a love for beauty, and I really liked you very much. You should know, at that time, I wasn’t the only one who secretly admired you. I was just the only one who dared to confess it. That should show that I was the one who loved you the most…
Jiao Qi rolled his eyes to the sky the moment he read this. It was obviously all a pack of lies. At that time, he was very introverted and unsociable, and he largely ignored everyone. His looks also didn’t conform to Western ideals of beauty at all. Other than that crazy KY, he was very certain he had no other admirers.
Night fell, and Jiao Qi knocked off work. Zhang Chenfei came at the usual time to pick him up, but he didn’t head home, driving toward the south of the city instead.
“Where are we going?”
“To hunt for food,” Mr Vampire said in a low voice. He turned into an alley.
Jiao Qi had a very bad feeling about this “hunting” business. “What are you up to now? Can’t we just go back home like regular people?” he asked, frowning.
“Baby, we still have to eat,” Zhang Chenfei said. The car stopped, and Zhang Chenfei turned his head around to explain. “You’re now a vampire. If you don’t drink blood, you’ll die of starvation.”
“… …”
When Jiao Qi thought about Big Cock Zhang’s “blood drinking” methods, a cold shiver ran down his back. Surely this fellow wasn’t crazy enough to bring him to look for gigolos? If, in the next few moments, he saw a bunch of shops with suggestive-looking neon signs later, he might actually commit an act of family violence right then and there.
Mr Dior didn’t sense this sword of Damocles hanging over his head at all as he pulled his little wife out of the car and led him out of the alley where he had parked the car. The scene before their eyes was a lively little street. It had just gotten dark, and the lights blazed brightly in the night. The air was filled with the delicious smell of roasted meats and hotpot, and the food sellers were all advertising their wares in singsong voices.
“Lamb skewers! Ten dollars for three sticks!”
“Mala soup, come get your mala soup!”
“You’re really missing out if you don’t try this roast chicken!”
This was in fact a famous street food lane in the south of the city. Jiao Qi’s Laogong led him through the crowd to a small shop with the words “Noble Duck Blood King” on the shopfront in neon lights. The shop looked like it had been there for years. A publicity poster stuck on the shopfront happily declared, “Get your membership card now to earn a Penguin Yellow Diamond!”
There was a display counter right in front of the store, and from the outside, you could see one of the staff making fresh duck blood tofu on the spot. Because there was a lot of fake duck blood tofu being sold these days, this store simply let its customers see exactly how their food was made, to show that their product was 100% authentic. The scene before their eyes was a bloody one, and business was booming.
“This is what you’re hunting?” Jiao Qi asked dubiously. They were now sitting in the run-down little shop, and a big plate of red duck blood in spicy sauce had been set down before them.
“Nn. Only this store’s duck blood is fresh. Animal blood is the equivalent of vegetables to vampires. I now have a life partner, so I’ll get my meat from you,” Zhang Chenfei said. Vampires who had bonded for life could suck each other’s blood when they were hungry, and now that he had his little wife, Mr Vampire would keep to a vegetarian diet when he was outside.
Jiao Qi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as he looked at the duck blood tofu in his bowl, and just picked it up with his chopsticks and ate it silently.
“Mm… this is tasty.”
Fly-infested little shops usually hid real gastronomic treasures. Jiao Qi actually really loved eating spicy food, but Big Cock Zhang usually didn’t let him eat it because of his weak stomach.
The two ate up the whole plate of duck blood tofu. Their hunger sated, they drove back home happily. Even though Jiao Qi had controlled himself and didn’t overeat, he still vomited the moment he got home. It could have been due to the fact that he wasn’t fully recovered from his flu, or because his weak stomach naturally couldn’t take so much spicy food.
“What happened to you?” Zhang Chenfei asked in consternation. He strode quickly to the bathroom to hold his weak little wife.
“Urgh…” Jiao Qi shook his head, then rinsed his mouth. “Perhaps I ate too much.”
“It’s not possible. Vampires won’t vomit after drinking blood,” Zhang Chenfei said, carrying his little wife back to the living room. He cooked a bowl of noodles in clear soup for Jiao Qi with a worried look on his face, and his mood didn’t improve even after seeing his little wife eat the food obediently.
“I’m really okay,” Jiao Qi said. His tummy felt much better after drinking the hot soup. He sighed. It really wasn’t his lot in life to be able to eat street food.
The great King looked at his little wife, who had no sense of danger whatsoever. He didn’t respond, and silently went to the study for a bit. When he came out, his melancholy mood had practically solidified on his face. He walked over to the bed where Jiao Qi was reading a book, then squatted down and looked his little wife in the eye. “I’ve looked at the ancient records of the vampires. You’re pregnant,” he said.
“Huh?!”
“We can’t keep this child.”
“Wut?”
“Vampire children are too big and strong. Having one will damage your body and tear your stomach open. I don’t want you to have to go through such agony.”
“… …”
The elegant Mr Vampire had his hands perched morosely at the corner of the bed, as if he were a despairing Romeo clutching at a windowsill. “Although having offspring is a happy thing, to me, you are the most important. If having a child means that you must suffer, then I’d rather stifle the seed before it sprouts!” he said dramatically.
Jiao Qi explained at length that he was male and could not get pregnant, but his stubborn old vampire husband refused to budge.
Fearing that Zhang Chenfei would start asking around for information on “painless abortions”, Jiao Qi made a point to call Shifei and ask after the situation the next morning when he went to work. The secretary informed him that CEO Zhang seemed perfectly fine, and since nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, Jiao Qi didn’t pursue the issue.
Jiao Qi thought that Mr Vampire had forgotten all about his pregnancy thing, so he was caught by surprise when he returned home and found that he could not escape being subjected to a cruel method of inducing abortion.
Zhang Chenfei placed a box in front of Jiao Qi with a serious expression on his face.
“What do you want to do?” Jiao Qi asked, looking uncertainly at the black box in front of him.
“As you know, a vampire can be killed if a silver object is used to stab him. This is a divine weapon, so it will not hurt you. It will only target the weak foetus,” he said, slowly opening the lid. A long, silver object lay between lush folds of silk in the box.
Jiao Qi’s fingers trembled slightly as he looked at the thing. That object’s lewd shape was one that would ordinarily need to be censored out with mosaic. He picked up the instruction manual in the box.
High end sex toys are a good choice for both singles and married couples! This product is made of sterling silver, and is a collector’s item.
“I don’t want this…” Jiao Qi said, his face going red. This was ridiculous. “I’m not pregnant.”
“I know this might be a little painful, but it’s better to suffer a little now for long-term gain,” the great Vampire Lord said, a serious expression on his face as he picked up the divine weapon, then caught hold of his little wife, who was trying to escape, and headed to the bedroom.
“Hey, hold on,” Jiao Qi said, struggling with all his might. “This child might not be yours either, since I’m a little lewd doll, right? Or, actually, maybe it’s not a vampire at all…”
“Not possible!” Mr Dior said, picking up his little wife in his arms. He smiled mysteriously at Jiao Qi. “In the past, all the fellows who tried to get close to you – what were their names? Alexander, William, et cetera – I’ve disposed of them all. I’m very clear on this. You. Only. Belong. To. Me.”
Jiao Qi’s eyes widened in surprise. Those two people Zhang Chenfei mentioned actually did exist! They were his classmates in university, and they were very handsome. In the past, he had interacted with them on social media, but he wasn’t that familiar with them, so he’d never mentioned them to Big Cock Zhang before. How did this fellow know about them in such excruciating detail?
