Mr. Dior - Chap 59
To a vampire, putting a silver object in his body was a very anxiety-inducing thing. To soothe his little wife’s feelings, Mr Dior employed all his skills in bed to please him.
The little wife was completely bewitched by the industrious vampire, and was unable to raise any protests. In the end, he let the Vampire Lord have his way. The process was something he didn’t want to think about ever again.
When Jiao Qi awoke the next morning, he thought about what happened the previous night and couldn’t help burying his face in his pillow in embarrassment. Meanwhile, Mr Vampire, who had his wishes fulfilled, didn’t seem to be happy at all, and pulled his embarrassed little wife into his arms and kissed him affectionately. “I know that losing a child will cause you much pain, but there was no other option,” he said.
“Oh, just shut up,” Jiao Qi said, covering his face. He felt a headache coming on just by listening to Mr Vampire’s nonsense.
“Alright, I shall not say any more. But if you start feeling depressed, you must tell me. A vampire has eternal life, and it would be very bad if you have postpartum depression – you would suffer for thousands upon thousands of years,” the great King Nicholas said, getting more and more worried as he spoke. He had a good mind to drag Jiao Qi off to see a psychiatrist.
“Aiya, I’m perfectly fine!” Jiao Qi said irritably. Mr Vampire was incredibly noisy this morning. He sat up, got off the bed and started putting on his clothes.
Jiao Qi was still rather concerned about Zhang Chenfei mentioning “Alexander” and “William” last night. He’d asked Big Cock Zhang about it, but didn’t manage to get a straight answer out of him, so he decided to look into this issue on his own.
When he got to the office, he first replied KY’s email, and at the same time, asked him whether he remembered those two people. KY replied very quickly.
Oh, of course. Those two liked you as well! But they weren’t as handsome as me, so they probably gave up when they knew I liked you as well.
Mr KY had always had a high self-esteem. This was something Jiao Qi couldn’t help but be perversely impressed by.
After thinking hard for a few moments, Jiao Qi searched for Zhang Chenfei’s English social media account.
There were many unread messages in that account’s inbox, and the last one had been received just last month. Jiao Qi clicked it, and saw that it was from a university student.
Hey, buddy, I heard that youVe got a really fabulous app, are you still selling it?
It sounded like a phishing message. Jiao Qi clicked into the profile of the person who sent the message, and was surprised to find that the fellow was a younger student from the same university that he himself had studied in.
This was very odd.
He went back to Big Cock Zhang’s message inbox and scrolled through them one by one. He discovered that there were actually messages from Alexander and William.
BigFei: Bro, do you need an app?
Alexander: Oh, I know you. But I’m not using that at the moment. Have you got anything other than that module grabbing app?
BigFei: Of course, what do you want? I’ve got apps for grabbing tickets for basketball and baseball matches as well.
Alexander: Wow, cool! I do need those right now. I want to get tickets for the NBA playoffs and invite the guy I like to them.
BigFei: Then I suggest you grab a ticket for the MLB instead. William likes baseball better than basketball.
Alexander: What does this have to do with William? I want to invite that Chinese boy. He loves the NBA.
BigFei: Oh dear, I think I’m about to cause some trouble for you, but two days ago, William told me that he likes you, but doesn’t know how to confess to you.
Alexander: !!!
The messages were sent during the time he and Zhang Chenfei had both been in university.
Jiao Qi understood what was going on now. That university that he went to had a bidding system for modules that you wanted to read each semester, and you had to bid for the modules yourself. Some modules taught by famous professors were very popular, and it was difficult to bid successfully for their modules. The app Zhang Chenfei made to grab these popular modules was very popular amongst the Amirican students and sold very well.
However, the conversation after the part on selling the app became kind of weird. Jiao Qi scrolled to the conversation with William, and found something even weirder.
William: Buddy, the last time you said you could make an app to grab MLB tickets – did you manage it?
BigFei: It’s done, but I’ve sold it to someone else.
William: Huh? Why?!
BigFei: Because someone heard that you wanted to watch the MLB, and bought the app off me. He said he wanted to watch it with you. I’m guessing he likes you.
William: Who? Jiao? Haha, I know that’s just a pipe dream.
BigFei: It’s Alexander.
William: !!!
At this point, Jiao Qi also wanted to send three exclamation marks. What kind of strange machinations were these?!
Jiao Qi clicked into William’s profile, and saw that his background picture was a wedding photo. William and Alexander had gotten married to each other three years ago.
Jiao Qi: “… …”
There was no need to look for any other messages from that year; even an idiot could guess what had happened in between. Alexander bought the MLB ticket grab app, got two tickets to a popular baseball match, then invited William to go with him. William, who had already been told of this in advance, happily agreed to this. The two were fairly handsome and also thought that they both were interested in each other, and so went hand-in-hand to watch the baseball match. The rest was history.
Jiao Qi couldn’t help wanting to give Big Cock Zhang a round of applause. Fabricating something out of nothing, standing idly by as the world burned, perpetrating fraud, cutting the ground out from under someone’s feet – there weren’t enough words to describe Zhang Chenfei’s intricate strategies for getting rid of his romantic rivals. On top of that, he had effortlessly earned 15 Amirican dollars from Alexander’s purchase of his app!
It was no wonder that he wasn’t sad when he’d seen KY sending flowers. It was also no wonder that he didn’t think about whether it was the first time that happened. He had been closely watching Jiao Qi’s situation even though they were oceans apart, and had even managed to somehow use this pair of lovebirds to be his mole in the school, reporting on Jiao Qi’s movements to him.
It was no wonder that in all his four years at university, no one had ever tried to ask him out. Any potential love interest in him had been smothered in the crib by this shit-stirrer of a Zhang Chenfei! Jiao Qi didn’t know how to feel about this. He was staring blankly into space when he suddenly received a call from the man in question.
“Baby, I suddenly realised that your voice sounded a little nasal this morning. Were you crying earlier?” Zhang Chenfei asked. The great Vampire Lord had been thinking fondly about his little wife as he worked, and suddenly remembered this little detail.
“No,” Jiao Qi said. He actually was still having the last vestiges of his flu, but he didn’t want to mention this, or Mr Vampire would start having great concerns about Jiao Qi’s vampiric constitution.
“Ah, that’s good then. I like the way you look when you cry in pleasure in bed, but I don’t like it when you cry because you’re sad,” Zhang Chenfei said, sighing. “If you really want a child, I know how to give you one.”
“Huh? How can you give me a child?” Jiao Qi asked. He had a bad feeling about this.
“I’ll turn Guangzong into a vampire dog.”
“… Absolutely not!”
