Zheng Qiuyang found a friend of his who was a doctor and brought Yuan Rui to him so that he could check out his injury.
The doctor had some other matters to attend to prior, so he called Zheng Qiuyang to tell him to wait in his private office first.
Before entering, Yuan Rui looked around. Seeing the “Chief Surgeon” written on the door tag, he came up with the image of those older bald men with glasses that were typically seen in hospitals.
The two of them sat on the sofa. Yuan Rui picked at his fingernails, extremely nervous. Zheng Qiuyang flipped through a newspaper he picked up from the table mindlessly.
Yuan Rui spoke up, “Qiuyang, maybe we shouldn’t have this checked. Let’s go home and rub on some Yunnan Baiyao. Only the skin broke after all, it didn’t even bleed.”
Zheng Qiuyang consoled him, “It’d be fine if it was any other place that had torn. But this is your little brother down there that we’re talking about. What if it gets inflamed and infected from us trying to do it ourselves and cause future complications?”
Yuan Rui lowered his head. A while passed before he replied in a soft voice, “But I don’t use it that much anyway.”
Zheng Qiuang rolled up the newspaper, seeming like he was going to beat him. The other quickly shut his eyes, but to his surprise, Zheng Qiuyang hugged him and gave him a kiss.
Not long after, the doctor came in. Zheng Qiuyang and Yuan Rui stood up. Zheng Qiuyang spoke humbly to the doctor, “Er-Ge, thank you for helping us out even though you’re so busy.”
The doctor addressed as Er-Ge responded with a smile, “Don’t worry about it, I wasn’t going to be too busy today either. Yuan Rui was it? Hello, my surname is Wang.”
Yuan Rui greeted, “……Doctor Wang, hello.”
Zheng Qiuyang could feel that he was even more nervous than before.
Doctor Wang said, “Qiuyang gave me a general description over the phone. Seeing that you can still stand and walk, there shouldn’t be any major complications. Don’t be worried. Let’s check it out first. I’m going to wash my hands, wait here for a little bit.”
He went into the private bathroom included in the room to wash his hands.
