Yuan Rui was someone who always kept his promises. As long as he agreed to something, he’d accomplish it no matter what. So despite how hard it was to keep it in, he didn’t tell his bed partner Zheng Qiuyang about Bai Tu and Liang Xi’s relationship.

Though he couldn’t help but show off before going to bed. “When I went to the supermarket to buy groceries today, I ran into Bai Tu in the elevator. Coincidentally, he was going there too so we went together.”

Zheng Qiuyang was a bit surprised, he asked with suspicion, “Did you shamelessly stick yourself to his side?”

Yuan Rui hit him. “That’s not it, he heard that I was going to the supermarket so he initiated that he wanted to go together. He’s such a nice person.”

Zheng Qiuyang was jealous. “He’s nice just because he went to the supermarket with you? Your way of giving good reviews makes no sense.”

Yuan Rui didn’t agree, “He’s so handsome and famous, yet still so hospitable. Even when he goes shopping, he brings his own reusable shopping bag, isn’t he nice?”

Yuan Rui saw how the other didn’t retort back anymore, he lied down satisfyingly. “I have such good taste, the male god I like is such a good person.”

Yuan Rui laid one leg atop the other’s, he said with a smile, “I’ve got an even better eye for picking my boyfriend.”

Zheng Qiuyang’s previously frowning lips instantly raised up. He reached out his hand to place Yuan Rui’s head on his shoulder, falling asleep with him in his embrace.

Yuan Rui thought to himself before going to sleep, What should I do? Is my male god Bai Tu being forced by Liang Xi right now? Sigh, that’s terrible.

During break time at work, he beat around the bush as he tried to get information from Zhao Zhengyi. Zhao Zhengyi was clever enough to instantly realize his intentions. He said, “Didn’t I tell you last time? Those two are good——friends.” He purposely dragged out his word with intentions.

Yuan Rui said, “I heard that Liang Xi’s family is quite powerful, is that true?”

Zhao Zhengyi was a bit weird out. He thought that wouldn’t be Yuan Rui’s focus point, he gave a vague reply, “Probably, I’m not too sure about that either.”

Sometimes when tidying up stuff, he’d see the signature Bai Tu gave him and he would let out an uncontrollable long sigh. That irritated Zheng Qiuyang a lot. He suspected that the other was fantasizing about being in the place of the main characters from The Bridges of Madison County movie with Bai Tu.

When recording the fourth episode for The Sparkling Friends, aside from the fixed guests on the show, there were two special guests who were actors here to advertise their work. One of them was an actress that’d been in the same set with Yuan Rui 2 years ago. She was the female lead during that time, while Yuan Rui was assigned to an insignificant side character, he acted as a model that was barely on screen.

Before the filming started, just as Yuan Rui finished his makeup and was putting on hair gel in front of the mirror, Yang Lu came in. He quickly stood up to greet her.

Yang Lu nodded back, she asked, “Are you in a good state right now? Don’t have another accident again.”

Yuan Rui promised her, “I won’t, Director Yang. I’ll definitely do good.”

Yang Lu simply gave him an “mn” then added on, “Wear something warmer, the winds quite harsh today and we’ll be doing a lot of outdoor activities.”

Yuan Rui showed his surprise from her kindness very visibly.

Yang Lu furrowed her brows, “It’ll affect the recording again if you get sick, don’t drag everyone else down.”

Another person came, it was one of the special guests, the actress. She quickly greeted Yang Lu when she realized her presence. She said, “I’ve worked with Yuan-Ge before, we haven’t seen each other for a long time so I came to say hello.”

The actress made some standard polite remarks, along with things like “please look after me today”, then left.

Zhao Zhengyi, who didn’t dare to let out a sound as he shrunk himself away on the side earlier asked, “Yuan-Ge, what happened between you and that Xiao Hua? Even I could tell how awkward you seemed.”

Yuan Rui smiled though. “I know that the people I’ve worked with before all call me dumb behind my back.”

Yuan Rui continued, “And actually, after the juice accident, she came back to apologize once she cooled down. I’m not a kid anymore, there’s no way I would insult or pour juice back on the person just because they did it once, right? If some think I’m dumb or think I’m unlikeable, then I’ll just not hang around them. I won’t go around to bathe in their resentment. Won’t everything be fine then? The production of the idol drama with Yuan Rui and Le Ningyu was finally complete. Although it was scheduled to be released next summer, the investors were impatient for the profits to come in, so they sold the rights to broadcast to a local channel that would start releasing it this week.
