Mr. Yuan is Always Unhappy - Chap 71
CH71 – KOI KING, I LOVE YOU
Zheng QiuYang and Fan ShiQing were a pair of close friends. Nevertheless, seeing the other appear bright and early in his house still made Zheng QiuYang very displeased.
Mr.Zheng remembered very deeply, this guy was a 0.5!
After this 0.5 got up, he ignored the sight of Zheng QiuYang and went to take a shower. He even shouted at Yuan Rui through the door: “Are there any new underwear? Lend me one!”
Zheng QiuYang: “……” Knife!? Where’s his knife?!
Yuan Rui poured warmed milk into a cup and answered: “I don’t have any. If you don’t mind a larger size, you can wear QiuYang’s?”
Fan ShiQing didn’t answer.
Internally, Zheng QiuYang started to hahaha again.
Fan ShiQing, who wasn’t able to borrow a well-fitting underwear, did not eat breakfast. He rushed off hastily to work. This place was a bit far from the magazine publisher where he worked. He was afraid of being late.
After he left, Yuan Rui urged Zheng QiuYang, saying: “Don’t dilly dally yourself. Hurry up and eat so you can get to work.”
Yet Zheng QiuYang said: “I’m not going to work today. In a bit, I still have to head to my mom’s place.”
Yuan Rui hastily asked: “What’s the matter? Didn’t you say everything was fine? Is her blood pressure unstable again?”
Zheng QiuYang chewed two raisins and said slowly: “Not only is her blood pressure unstable, everywhere is unstable.”
He explained to Yuan Rui about how his dad had gotten involved with a young woman again, and even fostered a pair of twins.
Yuan Rui: “!!!”
Zheng QiuYang said: “My mom seemed to have taken it hard and appears suicidal. Yesterday after seeing me, she got a bit better. I’m going to stay with her again today, lest she overthink wildly by herself.”
Yuan Rui nodded his head, saying: “Yes yes yes, how about I go as well…… but then again, forget it. When she sees me, she’ll definitely get angrier. Luckily, there’s still preserved egg congee in the rice cooker. I made enough for three and Fan ShiQing didn’t have time to eat his. I’ll transfer the congee into the thermos so you can bring it to Auntie.”
In some business events, he had once seen Zheng QiuYang’s dad from afar. The other looked like an extremely refined, old gentleman who was already getting on in age, yet still looking pretty handsome. It was easy to see how attractive he must have been to the opposite sex during his youth. It’s no wonder that the 20-some years old Mama Zheng fell headlong right into that without any care or concern.
But what’s the use of being handsome?
What a complete scumbag.
After moving over here, Yuan Rui still hasn’t used the thermos yet. Having a bit of trouble remembering where he placed it when tidying up, Yuan Rui could only flip through the cabinets of the kitchen in search.
He didn’t express any opinion towards this Zheng family issue, afraid that he’d say something dumb that’d make Zheng QiuYang even more unhappy.
Zheng QiuYang was extremely filial towards his mom. Other than getting into a romantic relationship with Yuan Rui, everything else he can be considered completely submissive and obedient. In the last few years, he had hopelessly and dejectedly remained at Yun Chang Jewelry; this was also because he’d rather do wrong to himself than make his mom unhappy.
In the past, Yuan Rui had heard him say once after drinking that back then, his maternal grandfather had threatened death to force his mom to abort him. His mom didn’t listen and was disowned by the family. Nowhere to go and no method of survival, she had no choice but to live in the residence arranged by his dad. Two months after his birth, his maternal grandfather died of illness. Everyone said that he was pissed off to death by his mom. A decade later, his maternal grandmother passed away due to illness. His uncles and aunts weren’t even willing to notify them.
Zheng QiuYang had said: Stuff like career and ambition doesn’t come with birth and can’t go with death. If his mom was gone, then she’s truly gone. Even though his mom was blind and picked an asshole, which caused her to be alienated by family and friends for half of her life, at least she had him for a son. She was someone who was almost in her 50s. Who cares how she wanted to spend her days, as long as she was happy and cheerful, that’s better than nothing.
Therefore Yuan Rui felt that even though Zheng QiuYang downplayed things and sounded like he didn’t care the slightest if his dad had another woman; actually, he’s practically bleeding internally. Who knows, he might even want to stab his own dad right now.
Zheng QiuYang headed out carrying the thermos. Yuan Rui walked him to the door, instructed him to be happy, careful, and such related words, and then helped him put on his mask. There’s been heavy smog the last two days. Yuan Rui just purchased an air purifier online recently, otherwise he’d have some trouble breathing comfortably even at home.
It was only himself now. After tidying up the kitchen and doing some cleaning, he had nothing else to do. Picking up the laptop, he started to watch a drama.
Today was the 8th day of being grounded by his agent.
Everyday at 10am, Li LingLing would call him punctually to ask how he’s been doing while sharing with him the recent direction of the discussions.
He also used his side blog to browse Weibo. There were still people who’d mention that video, however, the enthusiasm clearly dropped a lot. Inside some of TianYa’s threads, some of his antis were all saying joyfully: this dumbass is finally about to go out of style.
Yuan Rui didn’t care too much about being in style or out of style, however seeing this kind of tone from them, he felt especially displeased. He thought a bit dourly: Even if I go out of style, it wouldn’t be your turn next. What are you so happy about?
Around 10 o’clock, Li LingLing called over and said: “In a bit, Liang Xi’s WeiBo will post the promo for the Chinese version of <>. Go reblog it. Keep your words short and remember to act cute.”
Yuan Rui acknowledged it and asked: “Then can I reply to the fan’s comments and private DMs?”
Li LingLing said: “Don’t reply right now. What if it’s an anti pretending to be fan, then you’ll be screwed all over again, idiot.”
Yuan Rui: “…… Antis really work very hard.”
Ever since he forgot to switch accounts to reblog raffles last time, he has yet to log into his ChengV account, terrified he’d be noticed by especially attentive fans to be logging in and out occasionally yet pretending to be dead. Right now, after he obtained Li LingLing’s permission, he happily switched accounts.
A huge pile of @s, private DMs, and comments awaited him. There were also plenty of new fans.
He went in search of Liang Xi’s Weibo and clicked follow, but Liang Xi still didn’t post that promo yet.
Then he backed out to look at his messages…… huh? He won…… He won the raffle!
