Mr. Yuan is Always Unhappy - Chap 93
CH93 – EXTRA: YUAN RUI LAID AN EGG
Yuan Rui laid an egg.
He went out of town to record a tv program and returned yesterday. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Thus, he did the unspeakable for an entire night.
In the morning, after Zheng QiuYang went to work, he snuggled inside the blankets recuperating. Suddenly, his stomach didn’t feel too well. He was suspecting that perhaps that place wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. However, he was too tired so he very quickly fell asleep again.
After that, he had a strange dream. Inside the dream, he changed into a hen. Squatting over the chicken nest, he laid an egg.
When he woke up, he discovered that inside the nest of blankets, other than himself, there was also an egg approximately 15 cm in diameter.
How did he lay an egg!?
Was this because he had once thought about laying eggs for Zheng QiuYang?
What to do!? Humans were mammals! How could he lay an egg!?
The shell of the egg was practically the same color as his skin. One look was enough to tell that it came from him!
He hugged that egg, completely at a loss.
After a long while, he finally remembered to research online.
He carefully put the egg to the side. Afraid it might roll to the floor, he also wrapped it up in the blankets.
Searching Baidu for ‘men laying eggs’, he actually found over a hundred results. In India, there really was a guy who laid eggs everyday!
Oh my god! What to do?! If he really started laying eggs everyday, what was he supposed to do?!
Then he very quickly remembered. Inside this egg was he and Zheng QiuYang’s child!
“Waah.” Oh my god, what to do.
At sunset, Zheng QiuYang returned from work. When he entered the door, he didn’t see Yuan Rui and thought the other had gone out. After switching shoes, he gave Yuan Rui a phone call. However, he heard the ringing of the cellphone coming from the bedroom.
Still didn’t get up? Did he sleep for an entire day?
Mr. Zheng deeply reflected on his somewhat excessive demands yesterday. Hastily hanging up the phone, he quietly tiptoed over to push open the bedroom door, wanting to see Yuan Rui’s adorable, sleeping face.
However, what he ended up seeing was Yuan Rui sitting on the bed while wrapping the blankets strangely around his waist. The lower half of his body was completely covered up.
Zheng QiuYang said in bewilderment: “What are you doing?”
Yuan Rui opened his eyes in shock and stammered: “I, I, I am incubating an egg.”
Zheng QiuYang: “……”
Yuan Rui said: “Really. I laid an egg.”
Zheng QiuYang: “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.”
Yuan Rui said sullenly: “Stop laughing already! I really laid an egg!”
Zheng QiuYang couldn’t stop laughing. He walked over in a few steps and said: “Can I see what kind of egg you laid?”
Seeing him in disbelief, Yuan Rui had no choice but to reach two hands into the blanket and grope around slowly for quite a while before finally pulling out an oval shaped egg.
Zheng QiuYang: “……”
Yuan Rui said sulkily: “See, I didn’t lie to you. I laid an egg for you.”
Zheng QiuYang’s eyes flipped to the back of his head as he fainted in shock.
Yuan Rui hugged the egg, not knowing what to do.
Zheng QiuYang woke up from the shock. The two people stared at the egg together helplessly.
Yuan Rui said: “Do you think a small child will hatch from it?”
Zheng QiuYang shook his head, saying: “Probably not. I’ve never heard of any kids coming out of an egg.”
Yuan Rui said: “What about Nezha!”
Zheng QiuYang said: “His mom was pregnant with him for three years. You birthed it in one night, how can that even be comparable?”
Hearing this, Yuan Rui thought, that’s true, and said dejectedly: “Then it’s just a normal egg?”
Zheng QiuYang cupped his chin and finally said after a while: “How about we break it open and see?”
Yuan Rui said in alarm: “Absolutely not! What if our child is inside? Break it open and he’ll die!”
Zheng QiuYang scratched his hair and said: “Then let’s find a professional to ask.”
However, they didn’t know any gynecologists and had no choice but to ask Wang Chao’s 2nd older brother, Wang Jin. Although he was only a surgeon, he definitely knew more than laymen like them.
Clueless, Wang Jin was dragged to their home by Zheng QiuYang. He thought Yuan Rui had some embarrassing ailment again. Unexpectedly, when he entered the door, he saw Yuan Rui holding an egg. He asked in a strange tone: “My god, such a big egg. Is it an ostrich egg?”
Zheng QiuYang told him: “What ostrich egg. My wife laid this.”
Wang Jin opened his mouth wide.
Dr. Wang examined it for quite a while and said: “I didn’t find any signs of life, however, it should taste pretty good.”
Zheng QiuYang: “……”
He gave Dr. Wang a beating and chased him off.
However, Dr. Wang spread this news outside. Wang Qi and Fang ShiQing swiftly rushed over to observe. Before they could leave, Wang Chao brought Xie ZhuXing and rushed over. Liang Xi and Bai Tu also came. In the end, Li LingLing and Zhao ZhengYi came as well. This group of people circled tightly around the egg.
Fang ShiQing said: “Do you mind if I take a few photos and post them in my magazine?”
Li LingLing: “Let’s do some promotion. Yuan Rui’s egg laying can definitely make the headlines. Then we can even create a variety show called <>.”
Liang Xi said: “Alright. I can participate as well. Should be pretty fun.”
Wang Chao held up an egg boiler and said: “I heard 2nd elder brother say, this egg should taste pretty good!”
Zheng QiuYang: “All of you, get lost!”
He shoved the crowd of people outside. The group of people refused to leave no matter what and continued to clamorously talk about wanting to do promos, take pictures, and eat the egg.
Yuan Rui hugged the egg, bawling his eyes out.
“Yuan XiaoRui?” Zheng QiuYang nudged Yuan Rui, saying: “Why are you crying?”
Yuan Rui opened his eyes and said: “My egg. My egg. They want to eat my egg. Waaah.”
Under the blankets, Zheng QiuYang reached down and touched Yuan Rui. He said with a smile: “Aren’t they fine and right here? What kind of dream did you have? Seems quite interesting.”
Yuan Rui: “……”
Zheng QiuYang gave him a smooch: “Other than me, who else would eat your eggs?”
Yuan Rui sat up in an instant and felt around the bed with his two hands.
Zheng QiuYang asked in confusion: “What are you searching for?”
Yuan Rui stopped searching and then pressed down on his stomach, saying: “My stomach feels fine.”
Zheng QiuYang said: “I painstakingly helped you clean up properly. Did you forget?”
Yuan Rui pinched his own face hard and then said delightedly: “It hurts!”
Zheng QiuYang: “……”
Pouncing over and hugging him, Yuan Rui shook him happily and said: “It wasn’t real. That’s great. I didn’t lay an egg hahahaha.”
Zheng QiuYang laughed and said: “You dreamt that you laid an egg. That’s why you cried in fear?”
Yuan Rui said: “Not that. I cried because Wang Chao ate it.”
The more Zheng QiuYang thought about this, the more amusing he felt. He asked: “What exactly happened in your dream? Tell me?”
Yuan Rui narrated it systematically for him to hear.
Zheng QiuYang laughed so hard he threw his head back, unable to stop at all.
Yuan Rui said in embarrassment: “Keep laughing, you. It’s all your fault, always calling me a little hen and making me have such a strange dream.”
Yet Zheng QiuYang still insisted on calling him: “Little hen.”
Yuan Rui smacked him indignantly.
Zheng QiuYang: “Hahahahahaha.”
After a few days, Yuan Rui woke up and felt like there was something unexpectedly next to him. He gave it a touch and instantly woke up in shock. Ah! There really was an egg!
Inside the oval eggshell container made of plastic, there was a small meowing kitten. The card read: “Gifted to the little hen by your big rooster.”
