A cool weekend in late spring, just in time for the Yu Fengcheng school sports day, was one of the few days when families were allowed to visit the campus. Bai Xinyu had been curious about the school for a long time, the last time he came to a graduation ceremony, he just stood in the playground and he had always wanted to see Yu Fengcheng’s dormitory.
He had changed into his sports clothes to look like a university student. He drove the car directly under Yu Fengcheng’s dormitory building, he honked the horn a few times and in a few moments, Yu Fengcheng ran down the stairs.
“Xinyu, here.”
Bai Xinyu walked over and said: “It’s a big place, I’ve been looking for it for a long time.”
“It’s been a long day, I would have picked you up.” Yu Fengcheng put his arm around his shoulders, when no one was around and whispered: “I haven’t seen you for a week, I missed you so much.”
Bai Xinyu smiled and said: “I missed you too, I came over as soon as I got off work, what are you up to? Sports meeting?”
“Yeah, organising the final preparations, I’ve got several events tomorrow.”
“Are you going to be okay to run?”
“Definitely not as fast as I used to be but I’ll be able to beat these students.”
Bai Xinyu slaps him on the thigh, smiling vaguely: “That’s right, I’ve tested it myself.”
Yu Fengcheng squeezed his hand and said: “Come on, I’ll show you around my dorm.”
The two of them went upstairs, Yu Fengcheng pushed open the door of the dormitory, a fresh breeze came in, it was refreshing.
The dormitory was the usual four person dormitory, tables and cupboards below, beds above but only two people lived in this dormitory. Bai Xinyu had been curious about Yu Fengcheng’s roommate and was just about to ask, when he saw the bathroom door open and a very sunny boy came out of it and said: “Brother Yu, where are you going…” When he saw Bai Xinyu, he froze and immediately smiled ambiguously and said, “Aigoo, Brother Yu, this is your wife.”
Yu Fengcheng smiled and said: “Yes, call his sister in law.”
“Sister in law.”
“Hey, hello.” Bai Xinyu turned his head to Yu Fengcheng and said with a smile: “You’re looking for a beating.”
Yu Fengcheng said smugly: “They all know, here.” He gestured to his computer, on the screen was a picture of the two men in uniform, hooked up, Bai Xinyu remembered this picture, taken by the students during their military training in Korla, the two men were smiling brightly, it was one of his and Yu Fengcheng’s favourite pictures.
Bai Xinyu shouted: “You’re not ashamed of yourself.” But in his heart he was happy.
Yu Fengcheng smiled and said: “Let me introduce you, this is my roommate, you can call him Xiao Cao, Xiao Cao, this is your sister in law, Bai Xinyu, remember, don’t say that I always hide him from you so you wouldn’t get the chance to see it.”
Xiao Cao laughed and said: “Remember, I’ll show them off, I’m the first to see my sister in law, he’s even more handsome than in the photo.”
Bai Xinyu laughed: “You have a good eye.” He was a little uncomfortable at first about Yu Fengcheng being alone in a room with a man, now he was completely at ease, the boy was good looking but certainly not as handsome as himself.
“Brother Yu, are you taking your sister in law to dinner?”
