Feng Dongyuan’s intensity in studying, scared Bai Xinyu a lot, every time Bai Xinyu called him, he was studying, whether it was six in the morning, or twelve at night.
Bai Xinyu had always wanted to visit Feng Dongyuan but he was busy and finally, after finishing his thesis and defence, he realised he hadn’t seen Feng Dongyuan for almost a month. He remembered that Yan Shaozhen had been asking him out for dinner, so he called Yan Shaozhen and went to see Feng Dongyuan together, the three of them would have dinner at home and have a good time.
He met Yan Shaozhen at a supermarket near his home, he waited in front of the supermarket, from a distance, he saw a tall man wearing sunglasses and casual clothes, broad shoulders, narrow hips, long waist and long legs, he looked like a model.
Bai Xinyu looks stunned, it is only when Yan Shaozhen walked up to him and removes his sunglasses, that he reacts.
Yan Shaozhen smiled and said, “What are you doing, don’t you know me.”
Bai Xinyu laughed and said: “I’ve known you for so long, first time I’ve seen you in casual clothes.”
Yan Shaozhen looked at himself, winked, “Handsome, aren’t I?”
“Handsome.” Bai Xinyu said with genuine praise: “We from the Snowleopard brigade, all of us are handsome.”
Yan Shaozhen hooked his neck and shook it, “Let’s go shopping?”
“Yes, to buy some food, Dongyuan keeps telling me he’s good at cooking, I haven’t tried it yet, when we were in the Third Company, I cooked for them all but they didn’t like my cooking, hahaha.”
Yan Shaozhen looked at Bai Xinyu’s happy face and said with a light smile on his face, “I’m not bad at cooking either, Dongyuan is studying for his exams, I’ll cook today.”
“You? Yes.”
The two of them walk into the supermarket, they don’t want to push the cart, so they each carry a basket, while talking they went on with shopping.
“I must make a scallion pancake today.” Bai Xinyu picked up a few bundles of spring onions and picks them out, “This is the only good one I’ve ever made, I learnt it from Captain Wu.”
Yan Shaozhen laughed: “It seems to be true that you were in the Cook Squad, you pick good dishes.”
“That’s right, it’s all practice, not only can I pick vegetables, I’ve even grown them myself, I can even raise pigs.”
Yan Shaozhen snickered.
Bai Xinyu laughed too, “I used to think it was unbearable, now I kind of miss it, people, it’s strange.”
Yan Shaozhen nodded and said, “I miss being in the Snowleopard too but after you left, I feel a bit lonely.”
Bai Xinyu was stunned and smiled lightly.
The two of them are addicted to shopping, they think Feng Dongyuan must be short of everything, they fill their shopping basket to the brim.
Bai Xinyu hangs the shopping basket on his arm, he uses it as a dumbbell to exercise his upper arm muscles and rolls the potatoes all over the floor, the two of them crouch on the ground for a long time to pick them up, before they go to the checkout with a giggle.
When they arrived at Feng Dongyuan’s, Bai Xinyu didn’t use the key to open the door, he rang the bell.
Soon, the door was opened and Feng Dongyuan said in surprise: “Xinyu.”
Bai Xinyu looked at him, Feng Dongyuan was naked, wearing only a pair of shorts, his hair was long and undiminished, his eyes were black and blue, his eyes were bloodshot, he looked like he had lost his head. He frowned and said: “Dongyuan, what time did you sleep last night.”
