Bai Xinyu was stunned. He had blocked Yu Fengcheng’s mobile number but Yu Fengcheng wanted to find him, there was always a way.
Yu Fengcheng continued: “I’ll meet you at the office tomorrow, I’ve brought a lot of specialties for you.”
“Don’t come.” Bai Xinyu said with a frown: “What else do you want.”
“I’ll be living in Beijing soon, what do you think I want.” Yu Fengcheng laughed softly: “I want to be in front of you right away.”
“I don’t want to fucking see you, what’s wrong with your hearing!” Bai Xinyu yelled, after he finished, he saw Feng Dongyuan’s surprised look, he regretted it, his fingers slipped and he hung up the phone.
Feng Dongyuan blinked, he could hear a man on the other end of the line but wasn’t sure who it was, “Xinyu, are you okay.”
Bai Xinyu said: “Yes.”
Feng Dongyuan hesitated but doesn’t ask anything in the end.
Bai Xinyu looked at the tourist map in silence, he had a lot of anger in his stomach, he wanted to talk to his best friend but couldn’t. Feng Dongyuan didn’t know about his relationship with Yu Fengcheng, even if he did, what could he do, no one could help him.
Feng Dongyuan grabbed Bai Xinyu’s hand and shook it gently and said especially tenderly: “Do you want to talk to me?”
Bai Xinyu’s heart warmed up but finally shook his head and said, “I think we should go to Qingdao…”
After Bai Xinyu and Dongyuan had finished talking, he went back to his parents’ place.
When he arrived at his home, he found a SUV with Hebei number plate parked in the yard, he was often visited by people at home, he didn’t care about it, when he entered the house, he saw Yu Fengcheng on his sofa, drinking tea in a casual manner.
Bai Xinyu saw Yu Fengcheng and his eyes popped out.
Li Weizhi poked her head out of the kitchen and said happily: “Xinyu is back, your comrades have come to see you.”
Bai Xinyu thumped in and said, “Yu Fengcheng? What are you… What are you doing here?”
Yu Fengcheng smiled up at him and said, “I brought you a lot of rare things, if I sent them to the office you’d still have to come back to get them so I thought I’d just bring them to your house. Auntie, this tea is delicious, where did you buy it from.”
Li Weizhi said with a smile, “I made it myself.”
Bai Xinyu, with his mother on his back, waved his fist at Yu Fengcheng and said with his mouth: “Got out of here.”
Yu Fengcheng pretended not to see and said, “These are all your favourite food, Chen Jing they heard I was bringing you, they packed three big bags for me.”
Li Weizhi walked out with a fruit tray, “Xinyu, don’t just stand there, have a nice chat with your comrades.”
Bai Xinyu smiled dryly and sat down next to Yu Fengcheng.
Li Weizhi looked at Yu Fengcheng with a smile and said, “Little Yu, you’re going to military school at the beginning of the school year, are there many people like you who have been in the army and then go to military school?”
Yu Fengcheng smiled and said, “Not many.”
Li Weizhi asked some more questions about their time in the army, Bai Xinyu couldn’t sit still and finally couldn’t resist saying: “Mom, go tell Aunt Wang, I won’t be eating at home tonight, I’ll take my comrades out to eat.”
