Never Meeting Again In Our Next Life (Living Life Over) - Volume 1 (123)
When Xia Lin returned from the Song Family’s house, he went online to find relevant reports on Song Yan’s team’s research experiment. After comparing many on-site photos, he found that none of them had anything in common with the photos he took in Song’s house.
After thinking for a while, he suddenly thought that perhaps he could ask Gavin for help. However, after searching the names of everyone in his address book, he suddenly remembered that he hadn’t saved Gavin’s number.
In desperation, he could only call Liang Jinhui.
Liang Jinhui quickly answered the phone and didn’t dare to say a word: “Senior Xia, you. . . you actually called me.”
“Well, I want to ask you, do you have Gavin’s contact information? I forgot to save his number before, do you have it?”
“Why do you think that I have his phone number?”
Liang Jinhui suddenly became excited, “I just took a day trip with him. I really have nothing to do with him. Why do you all think I have something with him!”
Xia Lin suddenly realized that he seemed to accidentally know some secret that he shouldn’t know. No wonder Liang Jinhui has never dangled in front of him since returning to China.
“Ah, don’t get excited,” Xia Lin can only pretend to be unaware of it. “I just want to ask Gavin about a physics experiment. I have no other meaning. If you don’t have his phone number, then I will ask the teacher or other classmates.”
After hanging up the phone, about two minutes later, Liang Jinhui sent a WeChat message with Gavin’s phone number and added a superfluous explanation: “This information. . . I also asked this from someone.”
Xia Lin smiled and thanked him. Then, he made an international call to Gavin.
When Gavin heard Xia Lin’s voice, he was very surprised: “Hey, Lin! I thought you would never contact me again!”
Xia Lin said: “Sorry, I want to ask you and your buddy to do me a favor.”
Gavin was stunned: “If you need our help, just say it.”
“Can you give me your email address? I want to send you a few photos first and then ask you to help me judge what is probably the use of the equipment in the photos.”
Gavin gave him his email address without hesitation: “Lin, I didn’t expect you to actually save my number, I thought…”
“Don’t get me wrong, I asked it from somebody.” Xia Lin hurried to clarify.
“Who?”
“Liang Jinhui.”
Gavin’s tone immediately became ambiguous: “Oh, that little boy.”
Xia Lin felt that the two of them absolutely have a problem. They used to be in a state of mutual arrogance, but now, Liang Jinhui’s title became “boy”.
Xia Lin tentatively asked: “So, are you dating now?”
Gavin laughed: “That little boy is so funny. When I chased you before, he was like a hedgehog. He pierced people at every turn. Now that I started chasing him, he became a mimosa, shrinks up when you touch it.”
Xia Lin said that he couldn’t understand the love logic of young people nowadays. After hanging up the phone, Xia Lin sent the photo.
It seems that Gavin forwarded the photos to Jaden. Jaden soon called back.
He seemed to be very interested in these photos and asked, “Where were these photos taken?”
“It was taken by a friend of mine accidentally when he was traveling,” Xia Lin vaguely said, “I don’t understand this but I am a little curious. I want to consult with you.”
“The owner of the house must also be the ashes of Mr. Song Yan,” Jaden said excitedly, “This is a prototype of a base compression experiment that Mr. Song Yan had done before. It seems improved inside but because it’s just a prototype so I can’t say anything else.”
Xia Lin thought for a while and asked, “Can you explain to me what it means to compress pressure in a base?”
“This is a simulated defense system for future celestial disasters,” Jaden said. “Mr. Song Yan’s ideas are very avant-garde so sometimes they are not understood by the public, especially this experiment. It was once ridiculed by the astronomy community as a “worry invention”. Some people even think that Mr. Song Yan has invested a lot of precious resources into a meaningless imaginary disaster. This is also one of the few experiments that Mr. Song Yan has not been optimistic about and went into production smoothly so there are not many relevant media reports. But from a physics point of view, I think this experiment is quite a milestone. After all, the level of high-density compression effect is really amazing…”
Xia Lin had to interrupt him: “What exactly do you mean by the celestial disaster you mentioned earlier?”
Jaden thought for a while and said: “For example, two planets of the same size collide or something.”
