Pathological Trapping - Chap 36
Li Dezhuang was slightly stunned.
Her long eyelashes were dyed a charming golden color in the sun, and when she blinked, she looked like a fluttering butterfly. Crystal tears slid down her cheeks.
All the anxieties, grievances, and fears seemed to have found an outlet for release.
Li Dezhuang grabbed Mu Jian’s hand, bit his trembling lips, and slowly leaned against him. Smelling his scent, he felt more at ease than ever before.
“Your Highness…”
Mu Jian reached out and held the man in his arms, resting his chin gently on his head. Where Li Dezhuang couldn’t see, he raised the corners of his lips.
”It’s okay, I’m here, I’m here…”
Li Dezhuang was like a vine that depended on a big tree for survival. After absorbing the necessary nutrients from the tree bit by bit, he mustered up his courage and took out the foreign object in his arms.
A letter…
Like all the letters he had seen before, there was no name.
Just a thin envelope.
The letter inside was the source of Li Dezhuang’s fear.
With trembling hands, he took out the letter and slowly unfolded it.
The letter read, “Zhuangzhuang is so handsome when he is asleep. He is more handsome than any girl. I don’t understand, Zhuangzhuang, sleeping defenselessly in front of me like this, is it a kind of temptation to me? You know clearly that I can’t help myself. In fact, I really couldn’t help myself.”
The letter reached the second page.
”Your face and lips that I have stained are the most aphrodisiac in the world.”
Li Dezhuang’s eyes widened, and he suddenly crumpled the letter into his arms.
The taste in his mouth made him feel uneasy and scared.
Mu Jian lowered his head, “What’s wrong? What is that? Where did it come from?”
Li Dezhuang raised his head and said, “Your Highness, that person, the one who bullied me, seems to have set his sights on me.”
Mu Jian’s face instantly darkened, and his cold eyes were like the harsh ice in the cold winter, which made people’s hearts palpitate.
”I’ll have someone check it out. Don’t be afraid.”
Li Dezhuang finally felt relieved.
In a trance, he felt as if something touched the top of his head. It was so brief and soft that he thought it was just an illusion.
Maybe it’s because the psychological pressure is too great.
Li Dezhuang’s illness has been dragging on and has never been cured.
After raising it intermittently for more than half a month, it finally started to grow. It happened to be the spring hunt in March, so Mu Jian took Li Dezhuang with him to relax.
The hunting ground is very large and the scenery is not very good.
But the spring breeze was gentle and Li Dezhuang liked it very much.
Mu Jian asked him if he wanted to ride a horse. Li Dezhuang shook his head and said he didn’t know how to ride a horse.
Mu Jian said he could teach him.
Li Dezhuang was a little tempted, but still afraid. After all, the horses in ancient Chinese literature were no joke.
They have not received any modern education and are generally domesticated. If they were to fall down, they would suffer a fracture at best and paralysis at worst.
Li Dezhuang doesn’t think that the medical level in this era is sufficient to treat fractures and paralysis.
Mu Jian saw the fear in his heart.
”It’s okay, you go up, I’ll lead the horse.”
”That’s against the rules.”
”What rules?” Mu Jian didn’t care. He looked around and said, “No one noticed us.”
”That won’t work either.”
Mu Jian came closer, “Then we can ride together, okay?”
Li Dezhuang hesitated.
Mu Jian held Li Dezhuang’s hand and said, “Since we are here…”
The way he said this looked like a child asking for candy.
Li Dezhuang couldn’t bear to refuse, and sighed, “Okay, please trouble your highness.”
Mu Jian smiled happily, like a child. He helped Li Dezhuang onto the horse, and then climbed onto the horse himself. His movements were graceful, and his clothes were flying.
He grabbed the reins from behind, and it looked like he was holding Li Dezhuang in his arms.
Mu Jian squeezed the horse’s belly and made the horse move forward slowly.
The spring breeze is warm and gentle, bringing a little scent of grass.
Li Dezhuang was dressed casually today. Although his shirt was buttoned, his slender neck was exposed. His soft black hair was tied behind his head and was blown by the wind, scratching Mu Jian’s face, making him feel a little itchy. It was so itchy that it touched Mu Jian’s heart.
All Mu Jian could smell at the tip of his nose was the scent of Li Dezhuang.
It makes people feel distracted.
He took a deep breath calmly and sighed.
”Guard Li smells so good.”
Being close to him, Li Dezhuang could hear his words clearly.
”Is it fragrant? Why can’t I smell it?”
As if to prove it, Mu Jian buried his head in Li Dezhuang’s shoulder and took a deep breath, like sucking a cat, and then came to a conclusion, “Yes, it smells good. Why don’t I smell good?”
Li Dezhuang smiled, “If Your Highness wants to smell good, you can bathe with flower petals. Try it.”
”That’s something a woman should use. I don’t want it. Unless…” Mu Jian’s words lingered, “I’ll use it if you accompany me.”
”Your Highness, that’s nonsense. You said it’s for women. I don’t want to use it.”
Mu Jian tightened the reins in his hands.
The two people moved closer, almost sticking to each other.
Li Dezhuang widened his eyes.
Mu Jian sighed, “Guard Li is good-looking, of course he can be used.”
Li Dezhuang glanced sideways slightly.
The two people were so close that they could see themselves in each other’s eyes. Their noses rubbed against each other faintly, causing a slight tingling sensation.
Mu Jian suddenly smiled, “What’s wrong?”
”Your Highness is joking.”
”No, I’m serious.”
Li Dezhuang was silent.
He turned his head and looked forward.
”Then let’s not discuss this for now, let’s talk about something else.”
”What does Guard Li want to say?”
”Um… Your Highness, you… have a reaction.”
Mu Jian was stunned for two seconds, then he deliberately leaned forward and bumped into her twice, “Is this what Guard Li was talking about?”
