Special Effects Pheromone - Chap 28
The atmosphere in Qu Jing’s family always surprised Yu Zhao.
Yu Zhao had never encountered such a family before. Qu Jing seemed, at first glance, similar to many wealthy people Yu Zhao knew—possessing considerable wealth, wearing expensive clothes, driving luxury cars, enjoying fine wines, and interacting with others with a hint of perhaps unnoticed arrogance. Qu Jing’s house was also a villa with a garden, appearing to be the standard for the wealthy. However, when Yu Zhao stepped into the house, he discovered a different atmosphere.
The cat in the house was not a pedigreed cat, and there was no dedicated cat room to showcase its luxury. The head of the household didn’t have the demeanor of a “Mrs.” or “Master.” After dinner, Qu Jing sat barefoot on the floor playing games and looked up to invite Yu Zhao to join.
Yu Zhao hesitated and said, “I’m not very good at it.”
Qu Jing replied, “It’s okay, just play for fun.”
Yu Zhao had never played video games before. It wasn’t part of his “curriculum” or “schedule.” Starting at this age, he naturally felt awkward.
Qu Jing laughed and said, “You’re really bad at this!”
Yu Zhao paused and apologized, “I’m sorry.”
Seeing Yu Zhao looking serious, Qu Jing quickly put down the game controller and said, “Playing games is not fun. Let’s do something else.”
So, Qu Jing and Yu Zhao went to the bedroom and as soon as the door closed behind them they started kissing passionately. Not long after the bed could be heard squeaking with low moans emanating from under the sheets.
Feeling a bit tired, Yu Zhao lay on the bed. Qu Jing sat beside him, gently stroking his bare back, fingertips wandering over the smooth back muscles, then resting in the small of his back. Qu Jing said, “You have a mole here.”
Yu Zhao didn’t pay much attention, “Hmm? Really?”
Qu Jing asked, “Has no one told you about it before?”
“Who would tell me about that?” Yu Zhao was puzzled.
Qu Jing leaned on Yu Zhao’s back and said, “Your previous boyfriend, perhaps?”
Yu Zhao didn’t realize this was the legendary “relationship death trap,” but he gave a perfect answer without any guidance, “I don’t have a previous boyfriend.”
Hearing this, Qu Jing lay on Yu Zhao’s shoulders, biting his lip as if holding back laughter. He looked like a child who had stolen candy—very happy yet afraid of being caught.
Yu Zhao didn’t hear Qu Jing’s words but casually said, “What about you? Have you been in a relationship before?”
“Nope,” Qu Jing said cheerfully, “Look at me, always carrying a suppressant in my pocket, ready to fight anyone. Do I look like I’m about to fall in love?”
Yu Zhao found his reasoning quite sound, but his lips twitched slightly. Surprisingly, he seemed a bit happy, like Qu Jing. However, he felt he shouldn’t show it, so he awkwardly buried his face in the pillow, hiding his smile from Qu Jing.
Yet, Yu Zhao could feel the warmth coming from behind. Qu Jing embraced him from behind, almost completely pressing his body against him. Yu Zhao turned around, lifted his face, and welcomed Qu Jing’s kiss.
Inside the bedroom, there was an endless spring, while outside the bedroom, a different scene unfolded.
Qu Dad in the living room said to his wife, “I see they’ve gone to the room again. Why can’t they control themselves?”
Jiang Huixi replied, “Is it appropriate for you to discuss other people’s intimate lives like this? You’re a university professor!”
Qu Dad speechless, stuttered, “I, I didn’t… I don’t!” After a moment, he added, “No, I mean, I’m not talking about others. I’m talking about my son! Can’t I say his choice is inappropriate?”
Jiang Huixi said, “Well, if you think there’s something inappropriate about Zhao, go ahead and say it.”
Qu Dad said, “He looks unserious.”
Jiang Huixi said, “What do you mean by that?.”
Qu Dad said, “we as the parents are around, and they just… go there and do that. Is that something decent people should do?”
Jiang Huixi sneered, “So, Is Zhao the only one doing ‘that’? Isn’t it our son doing it together with him? Why is Zhao considered not serious, and Jing is considered serious?”
Qu Dad was momentarily speechless and said after a while, “Our son has been led astray!”
Jiang Huixi shook her head and said, “Nonsensical. A university professor, yet you’re saying such things!”
Qu Dad fell silent.
The two elderly people stayed in the house, figuring out when the two young men could leave the bedroom. Unexpectedly, the two stayed inside until it got dark.
Qu Dad couldn’t resist going upstairs to knock on the door twice, but Jiang Huixi stopped him, “What are you doing?”
Qu Dad said seriously, “Of course, I want to remind them to be careful!”
“Careful about what?” Jiang Huixi rolled her eyes at her husband, “When they open the door, inside, the room will be full of strong pheromones. Aren’t you embarrassed?”
Qu Dad choked, picked up his phone, and said, “Then… I’ll call our son.”
“You’re foolish. How can he possibly answer your call at this time?” Jiang Huixi continued to mock her husband.
“Are you going to let them fool around endlessly? I’m not talking about matters of decency and morality, but at least… at least they should take care of their health.”
“Pfft.” Jiang Huixi couldn’t help laughing when she heard the words “take care of their health.” She nodded and said, “That’s true; young people should take care of themselves.” After that, Jiang Huixi’s tone softened, and she comforted, “But it won’t go on endlessly. Do you think Jing is a perpetual motion machine? He’ll come down to eat when he’s hungry.”
Jiang Huixi was right. At mealtime, Qu Jing and Yu Zhao came down dressed. Qu Jing acted as if nothing had happened, eating, drinking, and chatting, but Yu Zhao was very uneasy. He felt it was impolite to stay in someone else’s house for so long, especially with Qu Dad’s stern expression, as if he might jump up and accuse him at any moment. Yu Zhao didn’t dare to lift his head to speak.
After dinner, Qu Jing took Yu Zhao outside and said, “How about you don’t leave tonight?”
Yu Zhao quickly refused, “No, I still need to go home.”
So Qu Jing escorted Yu Zhao to the garage, watching him get into the car and reluctantly staring at him, following behind the car. Looking at Qu Jing standing in the same spot, Yu Zhao, seeing him in the rearview mirror, thought it looked like a large dog watching its owner go to work.
