Xu Chengyan looked at the new ring on his hand, and took it off, “Don’t toss it.”
But He Yang was very ritualistic and insistent in his attitude, “Propose for marriage.”
“There’s really no need.” Xu Chengyan sighed softly and had to say, “If I buy a ring again, I won’t be able to wear it.”
Xu Chengyan put the emerald ring back in showcase and continued to pick out the cufflinks.
In the end, Xu Chengyan bought two pairs of cufflinks and picked some tie clips for his suit.
By the time he came out of the jewellery shop, it was getting late.
The two of them came out of the shop and walked towards the restaurant.
Only He Yang was stern-faced all the way, not in a very good mood because he hadn’t been able to buy a wedding ring.
Xu Chengyan also noticed He Yang’s low mood and moved closer, taking one of He Yang’s hands and hooking his fingertips into his palm.
He Yang still didn’t say anything, but he still held that hand tightly back.
Dinner was served in the revolving restaurant on the top floor of the commercial building, and He Yang had booked a compartment.
Xu Chengyan came to his seat and looked around.
He had been here once before, when He Yang had brought him here the year before.
On the dining table was a small thin vase decorative ornament with some thin rattan sticks stuck in it.
Xu Chengyan pulled a rattan out of the decorative bottle and played with it in a bored manner.
He Yang sat opposite, still thinking about the proposal, and said, “It’s better to buy another pair of rings and propose again.”
“Propose again.” Xu Chengyan wove a ring out of the rattan and put it on his hand to try it on for size, while saying, “The year before last, you proposed me here.”
The rattan ring was just the right size, and the more Xu Chengyan looked at it, the better it looked, so he continued to wear it and didn’t take it off.
The sapphire wedding ring was worn on the left hand, while the rattan handmade ring was worn on the right.
“That time doesn’t count.” He Yang frowned, “You didn’t even say yes.”
Xu Chengyan drew a new cane to play with in his hand and replied, “It’s all the same, and we’re married now anyway.”
“It’s not the same.” He Yang was particularly stubborn in some ways.
Xu Chengyan glanced at the man across the table and still asked, “Then what’s the count?”
“The exact proposal plan hasn’t been thought of yet.” He Yang had already started thinking about the proposal plan, “First, we’ll follow the dating process, shopping and eating, and then propose.”
“A real proposal?” Xu Chengyan still couldn’t quite understand it, and continued to play with the rattan, the rattan ring in his hand had already reached halfway.
