Strawberry Pop Pop Pop - Chap 93
Chap 93
For two consecutive days, Gu Nuan and Su Li had a great time. Gu Nuan took Su Li to many
interesting places and shared many of his childhood memories in H Country with him
Su Li bit his ice cream, his attention fully absorbed.
Zhang Yan and Zhang Xu accompanied them throughout their exploration, carrying many
shopping bags filled with souvenirs that Gu Nuan and Su Li wanted to bring back for their
families.
At first, Zhang Yan asked Su Li to give him the bags, but he hesitated.
Zhang Yan explained, “Mr. Su, this is my job.”
“Is it your job to carry our stuff?” Su Li asked with curiosity and carefully handed the bags
to him. “Do bodyguards help carry bags too?”
Zhang Yan replied seriously, “It’s my honor to carry bags for the young master and his
friends.”
It didn’t sound like a joke.
Su Li forced a smile and whispered to Gu Nuan when he went to the restroom, “Can you
please ask them to go back? They’re always following us everywhere.”
“My grandfather has many properties here, so it’s safer with them. There won’t be any
danger,” Gu Nuan casually reassured him, so Su Li wouldn’t constantly chase away Zhang
Yan and Zhang Xu. With his grandfather’s cautious and suspicious nature, he might have
trouble eating and sleeping if Gu Nuan was roaming around without protection.
Su Li’s heart skipped a beat. “Danger?!” he exclaimed. He swallowed and continued, “What
kind of danger? Are we going to have a movie-style shootout or something?”
Gu Nuan teased him, “You never know.”
Su Li opened his mouth wide but decided not to ask any more questions. He followed the
Zhang brothers obediently, walking a few steps and then retracing his steps every few
steps, afraid of being left behind.
Occasionally, he sent a message to Liang Xie: “[Have you ever experienced a shootout?]”
Liang Xie: “[?]”
Liang Xie: “[Where are you?]”
Liang Xie called directly and said without hesitation, “Where are you? My brother is on a
business trip in H Country. I asked him to come pick you up and take you back to our
country.”
Su Li hadn’t expected Liang Xie to call, and he blushed as he heard the concern in the
other’s voice, making his heart race. “No, no, I’m fine! I was just kidding with you, really!”
Liang Xie said, “Su Li, don’t scare me like that. I worry about you a lot.”
Su Li kicked a pebble on the side of the road, and Liang Xie’s concern made him feel quite
touched. He shyly lifted the corner of his mouth and said, “I… miss you.”
Miss you so much that I want to strangle you with your wheelchair’s legs.
After hanging up the phone, Su Li turned around. Gu Nuan and the Zhang brothers were
watching him with amusement, each holding a bag of popcorn, and they all clapped when
they saw him. Gu Nuan clapped the loudest and exclaimed, “Sweet! So sweet! When we get
back, I’ll strangle you with your wheelchair’s legs!”
The Zhang brothers followed along with his playful act and joined in the applause.
Su Li let out some curse words in his mind but resumed blushing when he remembered his
conversation with Liang Xie.
When they returned home in the evening, Su Li went to bed immediately after washing up,
and all his energy was spent on the excitement of the trip and the “shootout” scenario.
Gu Nuan didn’t feel sleepy at all. He sat at his desk, opened his laptop, and imported the
photos he had taken two days ago. He then discovered that all the pictures he took were
blurry.
The only clear one was the one where Han Yang turned towards them.
He enlarged it and noticed the look of helplessness and joy in Han Yang’s eyes. The shadow
in his eyes was none other than himself holding a camera.
Gu Nuan had thought he was doing a good job of pretending, but Han Yang had seen
through it with a single glance.
He wasn’t angry; he actually felt a wave of sweetness in his heart.
He thought to himself, “My brother must really love me if he can recognize me at a glance.”
Seeing the time in the upper right corner of his computer showing 11:00 at night, Gu Nuan
quietly closed the screen. He put on his coat, sneaked out of the room, and glanced back at
Su Li, who was sleeping like a log. He closed the door gently.
Outside the door, a servant who seemed to have been waiting for a while saw him come out
and politely said, “Young Master, the bedroom for the Young Master has been prepared.”
“Good, thank you,” Gu Nuan said, and he quickly went downstairs to the front yard of the
villa.
The night wind was still bitterly cold, just like in the depths of winter. The villa’s front gate
remained closed. Despite a few inquiries from the bodyguard, Gu Nuan responded with,
“I’m not cold.”
In the end, amidst his sneeze, the bodyguard ordered the servant to bring several heaters
and placed them in front of the villa, blowing warm air toward Gu Nuan.
“Young Master, the weather in H Country is much colder than in C Country. You need to
stay warm.”
Gu Nuan nodded obediently, wearing his hoodie and a strawberry hooded sweatshirt he
had bought during a visit to H Country a few years ago. He had just washed his hair, and it
was still fresh, giving off a faint scent of shampoo. His eyes were exceptionally bright in the
light, and his cheeks had a slight blush, probably from the cold breeze.
In this appearance, he didn’t look like the young CEO of a major corporation; he was more
like a well-behaved child.
Seeing this, the bodyguard’s heart softened, and he intentionally stood in front of Gu Nuan,
blocking the occasional night breeze.
12:30 AM.
Gu Nuan sat in a chair in the front yard, hugging his knees, and stared at the gate with
loneliness in his eyes. He held his phone in his hand, repeatedly looking at the message he
had sent to Han Yang. After a while, he rubbed his eyes, probably because he was getting
tired of waiting.
The bodyguard quickly said, “Young Master, you should rest.”
Gu Nuan shook his head, about to say something, but the villa’s front gate slowly opened,
and Han Sen’s most commonly used car entered.
However, the driver was not Han Sen but Zhang Yan.
Simultaneously, a person got out of the back seat: Han Yang.
Gu Nuan forgot everything else and rushed towards Han Yang. He hugged him tightly,
shouting happily, “Brother, I missed you so much! I missed you, missed you, missed you!”
Han Yang looked at Gu Nuan’s coat and the row of heaters in front of him, then asked in a
low voice, “Didn’t I tell you that it might take a while for me to arrive?”
“But you arrived half an hour early, and I’m so happy!” Gu Nuan laughed. “Fortunately, I
asked Yan-ge to pick you up, or we would have had to wait for another half hour.”
Han Yang ruffled Gu Nuan’s hair. “What time did you come out to wait for me?”
“Just now.”
“If you lie, you’ll turn into a little dog.”
Gu Nuan tilted his head in Han Yang’s arms and pretended to be cute. “Woof, woof.”
Han Yang couldn’t help but laugh, and even the people around them couldn’t escape the
cuteness. Fortunately, most of the people in Han Sen’s entire villa were fond of Gu Nuan.
They had watched Gu Nuan grow up and knew just how likable he was.
Right now, Gu Nuan held onto Han Yang and said affectionately, “I’m happy waiting for you,
and I’ll always wait for you.” He took Han Yang’s hand and walked inside. “Brother, come in
quickly. It’s cold outside. I had them prepare your bedroom, so we shouldn’t waste any
more time. Let’s go to the room!”
Even though Gu Nuan was a bit shy at times, he was becoming bolder by the day, especially
when it came to matters between them.
Han Yang hesitated and pulled his hand a few times. “What if Grandfather sees us…”
“Grandfather said yesterday that he wanted to arrange a wedding room for us in advance,
so we could each pick a villa in C Country and H Country,” Gu Nuan proudly said. “He’s even
more eager than I am.”
Han Yang said, “…”
Han Yang: “Gu Nuan, we can’t accept it. If we must, then only…” What Han Yang wanted to
say was that this gift was too valuable, and if they had to accept it, it should be just one set.
Otherwise, what would they do with so many houses? Could they even live in all of them?
At this moment, Han Sen, who had been awake, overheard Han Yang’s words. His
expression darkened.
Han Sen had just been reading in his study a while ago and was now standing in front of
them with his hands behind his back. He cleared his throat lightly and said in an unpleasant
tone, “What’s this? You’ve become a star and earned a lot? You look down on this little
gift?”
