Luo ZhouZhou saw a tall figure standing in the shadow of the fence. He didn’t know how long he had been standing there, but maybe he had just arrived. The streetlight seemed to be working now, no longer flickering, and the man walked slowly into the light.
A dark blue military uniform, the star on the epaulets reflecting the light. His eyes were shadowed by the brim of his hat, and his high nose, with thin lips beneath it, looked somewhat cold.
Luo ZhouZhou, who was pressed against the wall, was instantly at ease at the first glimpse of him.
“Let me tell you how he’s going to make you regret it.” Speaking in an unhurried tone, Chu Feng walked over to Nic, who was huddled on the floor, and kicked him on the side of the waist with the toe of his boot. Then he hooked his finger at the dazed Luo ZhouZhou and said, “Come here.”
Luo ZhouZhou obeyed and came forward.
Chu Feng asked him, “Do you know how to hit people?”
Luo ZhouZhou first shook his head, then nodded.
Chu Feng pointed at Nic and said, “Hit him as hard as you want.”
Luo ZhouZhou looked at Chu Feng, then at Nic on the ground, and hesitated to move.
Nic also heard Chu Feng’s words and looked fiercely at Luo ZhouZhou. There was a muffled thud of flesh colliding with flesh, and Nic let out another miserable howl, covering his chest and convulsing a few times.
Chu Feng withdrew his hand and stepped on his face with the sole of his boot, “What did you want to do?”
“…I… I just wanted some money to spend.”
Chu Feng made a little effort, and Nic’s face was deformed by the stomp, “If you don’t tell the truth, I can kill you right here.”
His tone was still careless, even languid, but Nic heard the unquestionable cruelty in it. This officer was unlike any other cop he had ever encountered, and he had a murderous air about him. The kind of killer aura that only outlaws would have.
If he didn’t tell the truth, Nic believed he would get himself killed without mercy.
“I want to fuck him, fuck him hard!” Nicole yelled in a vague, horrified voice.
“And then what?”
“Knock him out and take him home. And when I get tired of playing with him, sell him to the underground market.” Chu Feng’s foot loosened, and Nic continued with the pain on his face, “The underground market is hard to find, and even if it is found, it will be months before he is found.”
Before Chu Feng could ask the rest of his question, he saw a shadow pounce on him. Luo ZhouZhou, who was standing still beside him before, was viciously punching and kicking Nic on the ground.
…
Having just finished booking suspects into custody, the cops finally had time for a steaming cup of coffee. They heard the distinct sound of leather boots on the marble steps outside the lobby.
Chu Feng sauntered in, followed by a beautiful and elegant Omega.
“General Chu,” the police officers greeted, and Jenny was surprised to see the Omega behind him and called out, “Luo ZhouZhou.”
Luo ZhouZhou smiled at Jenny. His right hand was still aching, and his toes felt as if they were about to split. Just now, he had beaten Nic for a long time before Chu Feng pulled him away when he ran out of energy.
Chu Feng said to them, “There’s a man lying at the bottom of the stairs. Lock him up.”
Several nimble police officers responded and immediately went outside. Only when they reached the door did they remember to ask, “General Chu, what is the charge against him?”
Chu Feng calmly said, “Attempted robbery, intentional assault, assault on a minor Omega, and human trafficking.”
Everyone gasped at the words and looked at Luo ZhouZhou. It was obvious that the Omega Chu Feng was talking about was him.
“Luo ZhouZhou, did you get hurt?” Although Jenny saw that he was fully clothed, she still asked him worriedly.
Luo ZhouZhou shook his head and said, “I’m fine.”
“Poor little guy,” said Jenny, her eyes filled with sympathy, coming up to him and hugging him. “You must have been terrified.”
Her arms were strong, and Luo ZhouZhou could hardly breathe as she pressed him against her chest, nose and mouth deep in softness.
Chu Feng couldn’t help but quirk the corner of his lips at her words. Luo ZhouZhou didn’t look at all terrified now. While kicking and punching, he viciously threatened to drink all of Nic’s blood.
Now Nic was lying unconscious outside the hall with only half his life left.
“Has Chen SiHan finished his meeting yet?” He asked.
Luo ZhouZhou heard the name Chen SiHan and immediately pulled himself out of Jenny’s arms, ears perked up to hear the answer.
One of the police officers replied, “You left just before the meeting ended, and then Sheriff Chen finished the meeting, but we didn’t know you were coming back, so he went home after.”
After hearing this, Chu Feng did not say anything more and walked straight inside.
Luo ZhouZhou saw this and hurriedly followed him. He knew that Chu Feng was going to Chen SiHan’s office. He had only been there for a short while last time, and now he wanted to take the opportunity to go there again. Even if he didn’t meet his mate, it would be good to see where he worked every day.
Chu Feng didn’t stop him from following him, just walked with big strides, his boots making loud noises as he walked down the empty hallway.
Luo ZhouZhou trotted after him, not even half a step behind.
Remembering the conversation from earlier, he couldn’t help but correct him as he ran, “I’m not underage.”
“Hmm?” Chu Feng kept his feet on the ground and asked rhetorically.
“I am not a minor,” Luo ZhouZhou repeated.
Chu Feng suddenly stood still and turned around, and Luo ZhouZhou almost ran headlong into his arms. Without saying anything, Chu Feng looked at him once, from head to toe. That gaze was inexplicably hot, making people blush.
Only when he withdrew his gaze, Chu Feng said meaningfully, “If you’re an adult, all the more reason not to wander around by yourself.”
He turned around and walked on.
Luo ZhouZhou flinched for a few seconds before catching up.
The sheriff’s office.
The first thing Luo ZhouZhou saw when he entered the room was a three-dimensional projection suspended in the air.
A naked woman was lying on the mud floor, staring into the sky with her gray eyes. Her skin was blue-white, her hair was disheveled, her mouth was slightly open, there was a bloodstain on her neck, and a puddle of congealed blood beneath her body. Obviously she has been dead for a long time.
The three-dimensional screen was large, and the picture of the dead woman’s body was strewn across the air, as clear as if she was a real person lying there.
When Chu Feng saw this horrifying scene, he remembered that he was in a hurry and forgot to turn off the projection of the case. The photo of the murder scene where the Omega was killed was displayed in front of Luo ZhouZhou.
He cursed silently and hurried to his desk, commanding, “Close your eyes and turn around.”
Luo ZhouZhou looked twice at the projection curiously, closed his eyes and turned around obediently. He heard Chu Feng knock over a chair and it fell on the carpet with a dull thud .
The coffee cups on the table seemed to have been knocked over as well, and after a clink , Chu Feng sighed in frustration and there was also a rustle of papers being pulled out of the drawer.
“Can I help you?” Chu Feng was blocking the coffee that was pouring everywhere, when he heard Luo ZhouZhou at the door. He stopped, only to see that Luo ZhouZhou had turned around at some point.
He was still half lying on his desk, looking up into the air, and the picture of the dead woman was still floating in the air, so clear that even a hair could be distinguished.
“You’re not scared?”
Luo ZhouZhou’s eyes flashed with confusion, “Is there anything in this coffee? Why should I be afraid?”
Chu Feng stared at him again for a while, then straightened up with relief and said, “Then come in.”
Luo ZhouZhou closed the door and walked in. He walked through the projection in the air without looking at it, picked up the high-backed chair that had fallen to the floor, went to the bathroom with familiarity, and found a rag behind the door.
Chu Feng watched as he dried all the coffee on the table and went back to cleaning the rag, and suddenly asked, “You seem to know this office very well.”
Luo ZhouZhou turned on the faucet and replied loudly, “I am not familiar with the office, I just borrowed the bathroom once.”
When he didn’t hear Chu Feng’s reply, he didn’t care, finished cleaning the cloth, and paused again on his way out. Looking around, he shrugged his nose and sniffed around the bathroom, trying to catch the same scent he had smelled time.
He stood on his tiptoes then crouched down, not missing a single corner. The towels hanging on the hook rack, he sniffed those too.
At the same time, he had to be careful not to make any noise, lest Chu Feng outside might hear him.
Luo ZhouZhou’s heart was beating fast, feeling like a sneaky pervert but unable to resist the lure of the smell he remembered. But this time, there was no smell in the bathroom, only the lingering scent of shaving lotion.
Finally, Luo ZhouZhou gave up and turned around with resentment.
When he turned around, he froze.
He saw a clear reflection of Chu Feng sitting on the couch in the spacious doorway of the bathroom, facing the glass door of the row of bookcases. His hands were resting on the arm of the sofa, his legs were crossed, and he was looking at him in the glass door, too, with a subtle expression.
Luo ZhouZhou looked at Chu Feng for a moment, then returned to the bathroom and with a bang, slammed the door shut. After leaning against the door for a moment, he raised his hands to cover his face.
He didn’t know how long it took, but there was a knock on the door behind him, and Chu Feng said, “Are you going to stay in there forever?”
Luo ZhouZhou did not respond.
He felt like both a thief and a pervert with a strange fetish, and did not know how to explain this to Chu Feng. Should he tell him that he was a vampire and could smell his mate?
Chu Feng added, “As an adult, you get curious about the smell of Alphas, which is normal. There are also Alpha and Omega pheromones for sale on the market that can be purchased openly and honestly, in pharmacies, supermarkets, and shopping malls. Zhou Zhou, sexual attraction is not something to be ashamed of.”
When Chu Feng finished, the black shadow outside the door left. Luo ZhouZhou crouched on the floor against the door and began to calm down. The vampire’s fascination with the scent of his mate seemed normal to him, not shocking at all?
But why did he talk about pheromones, sexual attraction, and all that? No matter how he interpreted it, at least he had an open and honest reason to be neither a pervert nor a thief, and he didn’t have to tell him his secret of vampirism.
Luo ZhouZhou was relieved and finally opened the door quietly.
Chu Feng leaned back against the large desk, looking at the three-dimensional projection in the air. When he heard the door open, he only said, “Play by yourself for now, I’ll send you home later.”
Luo ZhouZhou was relieved and sat down on the leather chair behind the desk. After staring at it for a while, he took a model car next to the file and pushed it on the desk to play with it.
In the quiet office, the only sounds that could be heard were the spinning wheels of the car and the clicking sound of Chu Feng’s lighter lid opening and closing from time to time.
Luo ZhouZhou played with it for a while, then continued to lean on the table, chin resting on his arm, watching Chu Feng’s back that was in front of him. The same military uniform, but had to admit that Chu Feng’s back was much better looking than Luo Pei’s.
Luo ZhouZhou couldn’t make out what was so good-looking about him, but he just couldn’t take his eyes off him.
Chu Feng seemed to have sensed Luo ZhouZhou’s stare and turned around. As soon as he turned his head, Luo ZhouZhou averted his gaze to the projection and pretended to look at it carefully.
In his peripheral vision, he saw Chu Feng raise his hand toward him, and two small objects flew across the distance between them, making two gentle arcs in the air.
Luo ZhouZhou reached his hand out and caught them. They were two pieces of candy.
When Chu Feng turned around once again, Luo ZhouZhou spread his palms out and recognized the orange and blueberry flavored candies. He put them in his pocket and focused back on the projection.
On the projection was now another victim, a male, with the same bloodstain on his neck, the same nakedness, and the same gray eyes dilated in an indifferent way. There was also some blue-purple, blood-spotted bruising on his body.
“Why did the man who killed him leave a bruise on his body after he was dead?” Luo ZhouZhou suddenly asked.
“Hmm?” Chu Feng didn’t react for a moment and turned to look at him.
“The man is already dead, why would someone leave these traces on him?” Luo ZhouZhou simply stood up and pointed to the forehead and limbs on the projection. There was a blueish-purple bruise on the area he pointed to.
