Half an hour later, a black military SUV pulled into the Aleisha Police Station and parked at the edge of a small, brightly lit square. Luo ZhouZhou had been sitting on a bench by the window, staring out with blank eyes.
As the SUV came into view, he jolted up.
“Sit down.” A police officer, who was filling out a form, said coldly without looking up.
Luo ZhouZhou had to sit down, but he didn’t blink at the car.
“Zhou Zhou, is that the guy who’s going to pick us up?” Lin Fan saw his reaction and asked.
Luo ZhouZhou nodded his head and said, “Yes.”
As Lin Fan listened, he also jumped to the window, and they huddled together to look out. The car door opened and a long leg stretched out onto the ground, high quality black leather shoes that were spotless in the light. Then, a person also got out of the car door, bursting into Luo ZhouZhou’s view.
An off-white trench coat outlined his tall and upright figure, and his black shirt was unbuttoned at the top, naturally exposing his collarbone. Under the warm yellow light, the man was both stylish and handsome, a cool and gentlemanly figure.
Lin Fan stared blankly at the handsome Alpha, unable to recognize who it was.
Only Luo ZhouZhou recognized him the moment he got out of the car, “This… is Chu Feng.”
Chu Feng pressed the lock on his car door and walked towards the police station building. It wasn’t until his figure was blocked by the houses that Lin Fan turned around in shock and asked, “The person you called to pick us up is General Chu?”
Luo ZhouZhou nodded his head.
Lin Fan looked at him for a long while, completely convinced, “Zhou Zhou, you are the most powerful Omega I’ve ever seen. You went after Sheriff Chen, and ended up even getting his friend.”
Luo ZhouZhou was about to explain, when he heard a few “General Chu”-s as a tall, beige figure stepped into the lobby of the police station.
They both shut their mouths at once.
“General Chu.” The police officers all put down their work and stood at attention, then saluted.
Chu Feng nodded and looked around the lobby, his eyes landing on Luo ZhouZhou by the window. He slightly narrowed his eyes, then hooked his finger. Luo ZhouZhou obediently got up and walked over to him, followed by Lin Fan.
“What did he do?” Chu Feng side-stepped and asked a police officer.
The police officer looked at Chu Feng, then at Luo ZhouZhou, and said with some apprehension, “He sneaked into the blood bank of Alliance Hospital to steal plasma, and was caught red-handed by the security guards.”
“Stealing blood plasma? And seized on the spot?” Chu Feng raised his eyebrows, obviously surprised by this answer.
Luo ZhouZhou hurriedly explained, “I didn’t steal it, I put money on the counter for it.”
“Stealing only plasma? Did he do anything else?” Chu Feng still looked at the police officer.
Luo ZhouZhou replied, “Nothing else.”
“Didn’t ask you.” Chu Feng turned his head and glanced at him faintly.
Luo ZhouZhou kept his mouth shut.
The police officer shook his head and said, “He just stole the plasma, but didn’t do anything else.”
Chu Feng didn’t ask any more questions. He put one hand around his chest and touched his chin with the other, examining Luo ZhouZhou.
Luo ZhouZhou lowered his head and nervously picked at the seam of his pants, but the others were silent.
A half moment later, Chu Feng suddenly spoke up, “Alright, I’ll take them both away first.”
The policewoman holding the transcript had the audacity to ask, “May I ask if Chu General is these two’s…” When she saw Chu Feng looking over, she was quick to explain, “It’s for the record.”
Chu Feng didn’t answer, but put his hand into his trench coat pocket and asked Luo ZhouZhou, “Yes, Zhou Zhou, what is my relationship with you? It’s for the record.”
Luo ZhouZhou didn’t know how to answer, and looked to Lin Fan for help.
Lin Fan, however, was staring blankly, clearly out of his element.
“Friend?” Luo ZhouZhou twisted his head after answering, his ears and neck gradually turning a shade of pink. He wasn’t sure if he and Chu Feng were friends or not, so he blushed a little when he said it directly.
The corner of Chu Feng’s mouth hooked up, then he turned to the other police officers and said, “I’m a friend of Luo ZhouZhou’s. Leave the interrogation of these two to me.”
“Let’s go.” He said to Luo ZhouZhou again.
Then he turned and walked out.
Luo ZhouZhou and Lin Fan reacted and hurriedly followed him.
The policewoman with the transcript board hesitated to go after Chu Feng to ask him to sign it, but was stopped by the old police officer next to her, “Are you stupid? What else is there to sign for? It’s an Omega that General Chu personally came to pick up!”
The policewoman hadn’t been working here long, so she didn’t know how to react to this situation, shook the transcript board in her hand and asked, “What about this?”
The old police officer said, “Throw it in the trash can.”
Chu Feng wasn’t walking very fast, but he was so tall and had such long legs that the two Omegas had to trot to keep up with him.
When he got into the driver’s seat, Lin Fan pulled open the back door and nimbly got in. Then he nudged Luo ZhouZhou, who had just started climbing up, with his hand toward the passenger side, “You go there.”
Luo ZhouZhou looked at the closed back door and had to go around to the passenger side again.
Chu Feng started the car and drove out of the police station.
“Have you had dinner yet?” He asked.
They both shook their heads together, “No.”
As soon as they got off work they went to the hospital to get blood and then eat, but they didn’t expect to be arrested at the police station.
“Hungry?”
“Hungry.”
“Well, then I’ll drive faster and get you guys home for dinner,” Chu Feng said.
Lin Fan: …
Shouldn’t you say ‘I’ll take you guys out to dinner’ next?
Chu Feng dropped Lin Fan off at his home first.
“This is it, there’s the front door.” Lin Fan jumped out of the car and walked to the driver’s side to bow to Chu Feng, “Thank you, General Chu.” Finally, he wiggled his eyebrows at Luo ZhouZhou and said, “Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.” Luo ZhouZhou waved back.
Chu Feng turned the car around, headed down another road, and reached out to turn on the music in the car. A soothing, soft music played in the enclosed space.
Luo ZhouZhou sighed comfortably and looked out the window. The scenery outside the window receded rapidly, and a moment later, the familiar Aleisha checkpoint appeared in view. The soldiers opened the gate at a fast pace and the vehicle went through without stopping, out of the checkpoint and into the Bayard area.
Chu Feng looked at Luo ZhouZhou sideways, saw him relaxing against the back of his chair, and asked, “You didn’t even ask why I didn’t send you home and brought you to Bayard instead.”
“Oh, then why?” Luo ZhouZhou was listening to music and asked absentmindedly.
Chu Feng tapped the steering wheel and seemingly unintentionally inquired, “Usually when someone takes you away, do you always follow along so unguardedly?”
When Luo ZhouZhou didn’t answer, only bobbing his head slightly to the melody, Chu Feng reached out and turned off the music. When the music suddenly disappeared, Luo ZhouZhou looked at him, so he asked him to repeat what he had just said.
“Why should I follow the others?” Luo ZhouZhou was puzzled.
Chu Feng said, “What if someone else led you out of the police station.”
“But it was you I was calling.” Luo ZhouZhou tilted his head slightly.
Chu Feng frowned, and his face sank. He didn’t know how an old fox like Luo Pei could have taught such an unsuspecting Omega.
“You’re not someone else,” Luo ZhouZhou repeated.
Chu Feng didn’t expect to hear such a reply, and was slightly distracted for a moment. But he looked a little better.
“Okay, now tell me, why did you go to the blood bank to steal blood?” He gripped the steering wheel and asked.
“It’s to buy blood secretly.” Luo ZhouZhou corrected.
Chu Feng, “Well, it’s short for stealing blood.”
“Can I not answer this question?” Luo ZhouZhou didn’t want to lie, “I’m not used to doing bad things.”
“It’s okay if you don’t answer, then you owe me another favor,” Chu Feng said.
Luo ZhouZhou readily agreed, “Okay, I owe you one.”
Chu Feng: “Another.”
Luo ZhouZhou: “I owe you another favor.”
“Let’s see, how should you repay this favor to me?” Chu Feng made a pensive face and tapped his right finger on the steering wheel.
Luo ZhouZhou was instantly on guard and looked at him warily.
After a moment’s thought, Chu Feng said, “How about this: You’ll owe me for today, and you can pay me back for last time first.”
“Last time?” Luo ZhouZhou was at a loss.
Chu Feng looked at him sideways with surprise on his handsome face, “Did you forget about your meal? If it weren’t for me, you’d still be washing dishes in that restaurant today to pay your bill.”
Luo ZhouZhou’s voice got louder and said, “But didn’t I give you your money back?”
Chu Feng sank his face, “Just paying back the money will settle the matter? I don’t want the money. You go back to that restaurant and wash the dishes for two days.”
When Luo ZhouZhou saw his sullen face, his voice dropped again as he mumbled, “All right then, I still owe you a favor.”
Chu Feng gave a “hmm” and the corner of his mouth hooked up as he looked sideways out the rearview mirror. When he turned back, his face was indifferent again.
“So how do I pay you back?” Luo ZhouZhou wanted to get rid of the debt as soon as possible.
Chu Feng said, “Very simply, tell me why you went to the blood bank to secretly buy blood.”
The words ‘secretly buy blood’ sounded very comfortable to Luo ZhouZhou’s ears, but he really didn’t know how to explain it to Chu Feng. But he said it was to pay off a debt of gratitude…
Luo ZhouZhou struggled internally, showing his dilemma.
“Well, I’ll ask, and you just answer with yes or no.” Chu Feng glanced at him and said.
“Okay.”
“If you don’t want to answer a specific question, I’ll give you a chance to pass.”
“Okay.”
“Did you secretly buy blood for yourself?”
“Yes.”
“You didn’t have anything that required a blood transfusion.”
“Yes.”
“You get excited when you see people bleeding.”
“No.”
“There’s something on your mind that you don’t want to remember.”
“No.”
Chu Feng, who had been watching Luo ZhouZhou’s face in the rearview mirror, turned the vehicle onto another lane and continued to ask, “You like the color of blood.”
Before Luo ZhouZhou answered this question, he contemplated for a moment and decided that he did like the color of blood. Of course, he liked the other colors too.
“Yes.” He replied.
“You would like it more if the blood was on a human.”
Luo ZhouZhou thought, Warm, fresh blood is every vampire’s favorite, which one wouldn’t like it?
“Yes.”
This time, Chu Feng paused before speaking, his tone still calm and emotionless, but his fingers, which had been tapping lightly on the steering wheel, stopped moving. “You want to lick the blood.”
Luo ZhouZhou hesitated and said, “Pass.”
Chu Feng’s face changed slightly, and then returned to normal in an instant.
“After asking so many questions, this should be able to return the favor from last time.” Luo ZhouZhou was a little afraid to look at him.
Chu Feng only gave a “hmm” and didn’t ask any more questions, staring straight ahead. After that neither of them spoke, Chu Feng drove in silence, his brow slightly furrowed, thinking about something.
Luo ZhouZhou recalled what had just happened, and with hindsight, he realized that something was wrong.
I owed him a favor for not answering his question.
Did he just use the past favor to exchange an answer from that question?
