The Nutrition is Too Good - Chap 26.2
Rong Mian sat next to Zhong Yi. First, he carefully packed his snacks into his small backpack. When he turned his head, he noticed that Zhong Yi didn’t look well.
So Rong Mian thought for a moment and said to Zhong Yi, “Thank you for helping me and Sandou upgrade to a higher class.”
Zhong Yi paused for a moment and replied with an “Mhm.”
Rong Mian sat quietly for a while and then asked, “When will they serve food in the business class?”
Zhong Yi responded, “… I don’t know.”
Rong Mian felt that Zhong Yi didn’t seem very willing to engage in a conversation. He hesitated for a moment, lowered his head, and opened her phone to play a fashion nail salon game.
Just as the plane took off, Zhong Yi reached the last page of the magazine he was reading. He turned his head and noticed that the boy next to him had put down his phone and was covering his ears, with a slightly uncomfortable expression on his face.
Zhong Yi was taken aback and asked, “What’s wrong with you?”
Rong Mian said with some difficultly, “My ears hurt.”
It is indeed common for ears to ring during take-off, but this person probably doesn’t travel by plane often, so they may feel more uncomfortable. Zhong Yi paused for a moment and asked the flight attendant to pour him a glass of water.
Zhong Yi said, “Take a deep breath and drink all the water.”
Rong Mian followed suit, burying his head and slowly drinking the water bit by bit. After a while, he looked at Zhong Yi with some happiness and said, “I feel much better now.”
Zhong Yi nodded but didn’t say anything else. He simply continued flipping through a new magazine.
Rong Mian was stunned for a moment, then lowered his head and continued scrolling on his phone with a sluggish pace.
Just as Zhong Yi turned the page and saw an advertisement for a perfume brand he endorsed at the beginning of this year, he felt a tap on his elbow.
He turned his head and saw Rong Mian holding his phone, earnestly asking, “Which one do you think I should post?”
Just looking at the screen filled with pearl water diamonds and butterfly bows gave Zhong Yi a headache. He couldn’t understand why someone would enjoy playing this kind of game, so he said, “Whatever.”
Rong Mian responded with an “Oh” and looked somewhat disappointed as he put away his phone.
Although Zhong Yi refused decisively, his eyes couldn’t help but glance at Rong Mian’s phone. The customer requested to have a butterfly bow sticker, and Zhong Yi watched as Rong Mian seriously sifted through options before solemnly placing a mismatched pearl on the customer’s pinky finger.
Seeing the customer’s face on the screen about to turn green, Zhong Yi couldn’t hold back and pointed at it, saying, “…You should use this one.”
Rong Mian replied, “I know.”
Zhong Yi: “…?”
“But I think pearls look better with purple,” Rong Mian said. “I play games to make myself happy, so can’t I choose what I like?”
Zhong Yi: “…”
Rong Mian looked at Zhong Yi’s face for a while and suddenly said, “Don’t be angry anymore.”
Zhong Yi paused for a moment and then said, “I’m not angry.”
Rong Mian responded with an “Oh” again.
The two of them stayed quiet for a while, and then a flight attendant pushed a food cart over to distribute meals.
In the past two days, Rong Mian still enjoyed the sausages, ice cream, fish porridge made by Zhong Yi, as well as the dumplings with fresh meat filling that he personally wrapped, and this version didn’t include minced carrots.
But Zhong Yi’s words were clearly fewer, and he hadn’t taken the initiative to kiss Rong Mian again.
“But I feel like you’re still angry.”
After a moment of silence, Rong Mian suddenly spoke, “Since I kissed you the day before yesterday, you’ve been angry with me and unwilling to talk to me.”
Zhong Yi thought to himself, this wasn’t just a kiss, it was a direct bite to death.
Actually, Zhong Yi wasn’t really angry. Although the child was a bit rough when he kissed him, his innocent appearance when he took the initiative to kiss was really heart-warming. Especially when he looked up at him with shining eyes, it was evident that he genuinely liked him.
Zhong Yi actually fell for this act, but of course, he wouldn’t admit it.
“I’m not talking because my mouth will split open if I do.”
Zhong Yi sighed, “My mouth hurts, I have to let the wound heal, I have to film, right?”
Rong Mian blinked in confusion.
Small animals have strong biting force. Rong Mian had never kissed anyone before, so he didn’t know how to gauge the strength. He used the same force as when he bit a sausage in half and ended up drawing blood from Zhong Yi.
“…I just wanted to make you happy. I thought you would like it.”
Rong Mian softly said, “I didn’t control the strength properly at that time, I’m sorry.”
He lowered his eyelashes and after a while, added in a muffled tone, “I won’t do it again in the future.”
Zhong Yi was taken aback.
Zhong Yi: “It’s not that…”
“…If you don’t like it, I won’t kiss you anymore.”
Rong Mian raised his eyes again and looked at Zhong Yi earnestly, saying, “I promise you.”
Zhong Yi: “…”
Zhong Yi stunned and struggled to form a complete sentence for a while.
Rong Mian waited for a long time but didn’t receive a response from Zhong Yi. So he turned his head away and continued to stare blankly at the food on the plate.
The steak and mashed potatoes in the business class were delicious, much better than the weird-tasting boxed meals in the economy class that they had before. Rong Mian finished all the sauce inside, but because the portion was a bit small, he still felt somewhat hungry.
So Rong Mian lifted the plastic wrap on the salad bowl and used a fork to slowly pick up the pieces of salmon on top and put them into his mouth, swallowing them, but still feeling hungry.
Finally, he hesitated for a moment, picked up the green leaves that had some salmon crumbs on them, and slowly swallowed them.
Rong Mian put down the fork, feeling a bit empty in his stomach, but also feeling a bit discouraged and sad.
He realized that he seemed to have messed things up, even though Zhong Yi said he wasn’t angry, Rong Mian knew he had messed up.
Suddenly, Zhong Yi beside him said, “No.”
Rong Mian lifted his eyes in confusion.
He hadn’t yet grasped the meaning behind Zhongyi’s words when he saw Zhong Yi raise his hand and pick up the plate in front of himself, which had a complete steak on it, and exchanged it with the empty plate in front of Rong Mian.
Then Zhong Yi withdrew his hand and turned his face away, looking somewhat uneasy.
“I mean, I don’t dislike it.”
He repeated himself.
