The Nutrition is Too Good - Chap 27.2
“It was the same when you caught that butterfly for Shen Yan last time.”
Zhong Yi taking a deep breath, genuinely felt frustrated. “How do you manage to do this…?”
Rong Mian looked at him with confusion in his eyes.
“Is this impressive?” he said, “But we can all do it.”
Zhong Yi began to seriously contemplate what group this “we” in his mouth referred to. Was it referring to the Spider-Man who had eaten the Devil Fruit?
Zhong Yi stared at the small fish in Rong Mian’s palm for a while, feeling a slight itch in his throat.
He wanted to explain to Rong Mian once again that he didn’t dislike his kisses, but he felt that saying it now would lead to further misunderstandings. However, if he didn’t say it, Zhong Yi felt uneasy. So, he found himself caught in a tangled loop of indecision.
Rong Mian was unaware of Zhong Yi’s thoughts. He looked at the fish in his palm for a moment, then excitedly urged, “Quick, reach out your hand.”
So, Zhong Yi, as if compelled by a ghost, extended his hand. Rong Mian tilted his palm slightly, and the small fish followed the flow of water into Zhong Yi’s hand, flicking its tail.
The distance between them suddenly became very close.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and Rong Mian raised his eyes, gazing at Zhong Yi’s face for a while with a meaningful look. He stared for a long time, so long that Zhong Yi thought he wanted to kiss him.
So, Zhong Yi hesitated for a moment and leaned closer, but just as he got closer, Rong Mian’s eyelashes trembled, and he suddenly turned his face away.
Zhong Yi: “…?”
“Today’s service is catching small fish for you, so can you tell me in advance tomorrow what specific things you need me to do for you?”
Yong Mian stood up lightly and said to Zhong Yi, “This way, I won’t have to spend the whole day thinking about it myself.”
Yong Mian said, “Goodnight.”
Zhong Yi froze on the spot.
Then he watched as Rong Mian rubbed his hands, which had turned slightly red from the cold seawater, and turned around, calling out the name of Kong Sandou, who was video chatting with Yun Min under the coconut tree.
“—It’s the ocean!”
Kong Sandou hung up the phone and bounced over, excitedly following Rong Mian and saying, “Let’s both return to our original forms quickly. I want to run, I want to swim. I’ve been holding back all day and I can’t take it anymore…”
“But the seawater is so cold, Sandou.”
Rong Mian said softly, “I need to change out of my costume and remove my makeup first. You can go and play by yourself for now, I can accompany you tomorrow.”
Kong Sandou let out a disappointed sound, but then happily said, “Then I’ll play by myself for a while today. We can have coconuts together tomorrow…”
Kong Sandou enthusiastically described how he could use his bare hands to split coconuts while Rong Mian turned his head and glanced at Zhong Yi sitting on the beach.
I’m not sure if it was just Rong Mian’s imagination, but he felt that when he gave the little fish to Zhong Yi earlier, Zhong Yi’s expression seemed somewhat complicated.
It was as if he was waiting for something, but in the end, it didn’t happen.
Was it because the fish was too small? Rong Mian wondered.
Zhong Yi sat on the beach like a fool, holding the fish in his hands, staring at it for a while.
As the little bit of seawater in his palm was about to slip away, Zhong Yi finally let go and released the fish.
The fish was really small, and the ripples it left in the seawater were so faint that they were almost invisible. Zhong Yi inexplicably felt a bit stifled, but he couldn’t say why.
He remembered how this person had been staring eagerly at the sea earlier, and thought that maybe after this play was finished, he could see if he could rent a yacht or something nearby and take him out to catch some fresh fish…
The sky was getting a bit darker, and Zhong Yi stood up feeling somewhat restless. He glanced casually at the surrounding beach, preparing to head back.
But suddenly, he froze in place.
Because Zhong Yi saw a dog.
Judging by the breed, it seemed to be a black Shiba Inu, chubby and round. It was happily running in circles on the beach, its steps a bit chaotic with excitement.
It seems that this is brought out by tourist on vacation nearby and released to stroll on the beach.
This black Shiba Inu looks happy and silly, and Zhong Yi finds it a bit funny.
Zhong Yi watched the dog run excitedly, wagging its tail for a while, and then it ran straight into the sea for a swim. Only its furry head was visible, swimming quite skillfully. Zhong Yi found it quite fascinating.
Then Zhong Yi inexplicably remembered the stray black cat that was good at eating in his backyard.
Zhong Yi felt that he hadn’t seen that little guy for a while, but before he left this time, he left a few slices of ham on the kitchen balcony. However, he would be away for at least half a month this time.
‘I don’t know if it will get hungry.’
Zhong Yi thought.
When Zhong Yi looked back towards the sea, he found that the dog that was swimming in the sea had disappeared.
The sea was calm, with waves gently lapping against the beach. Zhong Yi was stunned for a moment, thinking that the wind was quite strong earlier. Could it be that the waves swept the Shiba Inu away?
After careful consideration, it seemed unlikely. Or was it that when he was lost in thought, the dog had already been taken away by its owner? But that speed seems a bit too fast…
Zhong Yi hesitated and turned his head to look around the beach. The crew members had already finished their work and left. He only saw a few scattered tourists, but there was still no sign of the black Shiba Inu.
In the blink of an eye, such a big dog disappeared, leaving Zhong Yi feeling somewhat bewildered.
However, when he turned his head again, he saw someone not far from himself, under a coconut tree. He didn’t know when this person suddenly appeared.
It was a tall and slender girl with short wet hair. She cheerfully shook the water off her hair and casually adjusted her oversized t-shirt.
At that moment when the girl turned around, Zhong Yi recognized her face —
It was Kong Sandou.
