The Nutrition is Too Good - Chap 38
Zhong Yi sat on the bed, rubbing his palms.
Just like an old father waiting for the birth of a child, a groom waiting for the bride to walk down the red carpet at a wedding, that was Zhong Yi at this moment.
He was waiting for Rong Mian to change back into a cat in the toilet so he could be touched by him.
Zhong Yi was a little nervous.
The scene just now in the toilet was really ambiguous and full of sexual tension. Mainly because he himself was ignorant and unaware, he just wanted Zhong Yi to touch him. Zhong Yi was stunned and couldn’t even say a word.
Zhong Yi exhaled and lowered his head, rubbing his hands again, trying to raise the temperature in his palms.
But upon careful thought, Rong Mian in cat form would have soft fur and probably wouldn’t feel the warmth of his palms.
Just as Zhong Yi began to contemplate how he would hug Rong Mian, what position to use, how to caress, and where to caress, there was a faint sound coming from the toilet.
Zhong Yi watched as the little black cat walked out of the toilet with a bow tie in its mouth. It walked to the edge of the bed, then crouched down lightly and jumped onto the bed.
Rong Mian rubbed his head against Zhong Yi’s arm, placed the bow tie he was holding in his hand, and then quietly stared at Zhong Yi.
Zhong Yi took a deep breath.
He paused for a moment, first putting the bow tie on Rong Mian and adjusting it. Then, the little black cat with the bow tie stood upright by Zhong Yi’s hand, happily rubbing against his arm.
Rong Mian signaled that Zhong Yi could touch him.
Zhong Yi hesitated for a moment, then reached out his hand and cautiously touched Rong Mian’s head. He paused again and tentatively pinched his two pointed ears.
As Zhong Yi became more immersed in the moment, he hesitated once more. He placed both hands down and scratched Rong Mian’s chin.
He watched as Rong Mian slightly narrowed his eyes, comfortably rubbing his face in his palm with small movements.
Next, Zhong Yi heard a soft purring sound coming from Rong Mian’s chest, a sound that only appears when animals are relaxed and comfortable. This indicated his fondness and trust towards Zhong Yi.
Zhong Yi truly felt that his heart had melted.
And Rong Mian also enjoyed Zhong Yi’s touch.
The feeling of being touched by a partner was different from the touch of an ordinary guest. Rong Mian was so comfortable that he felt drowsy, and his tail swayed on the bed. Then, Zhong Yi suddenly asked, “Can I … touch your belly now?”
Rong Mian opened his eyes and softly meowed, giving his consent.
Considering that Zhong Yi is a novice at playing with cats, Rong Mian thought for a moment and decided to take the initiative himself.
So he wagged his tail slightly, lay down on the bed, rolled over, and exposed his soft belly to Zhong Yi.
There was no need to watch any more videos of cute kittens, this was his own cat.
Zhong Yi felt his breathing become somewhat heavy.
During Rong Mian’s time as a stray cat, he developed a strong sense of vigilance and rarely showed his belly to others. So when Zhong Yi’s hand landed on his belly, Rong Mian instinctively wanted to hide.
But Zhong Yi’s face came close, he looked at Rong Mian, seeming a bit unsure of what to do.
So Rong Mian paused, then turned his head and rubbed Zhong Yi’s wrist with his cheek, as if trying to please him.
However, in the next second, Zhong Yi suddenly seemed unable to bear it any longer. He took a deep breath, held Rong Mian’s front paws with both hands, lowered his head, and kissed Rong Mian’s head forcefully.
Rong Mian was taken aback.
After Zhong Yi finished kissing, he stared at Rong Mian’s face for a while, then lowered his head again and gave Rong Mian’s damp nose a quick kiss.
Rong Mian felt happy that Zhong Yi was being so affectionate towards him, and he also felt that Zhong Yi was learning really quickly, understanding the joy and techniques of playing with cats.
But after one minute, Rong Mian felt like something was off.
Because Zhong Yi’s kisses seemed to be lasting a bit too long, Rong Mian meowed, indicating that Zhong Yi could stop. However, Zhong Yi seemed completely oblivious and continued to passionately kiss Rong Mian’s cheeks.
Rong Mian felt embarrassed and anxious, and he started to struggle.
But in the next second, Zhong Yi lowered his head and directly buried his face in Rong Mian’s belly, then took a deep breath—
Rong Mian’s pupils shrank.
Zhong Yi happily acquired his first scratch in his life.
On the back of his left hand, Zhong Yi could only say that what Rong Mian had told him before, “I can scratch a male cat that weighs several kilograms more than me and make it bald,” was not an exaggeration at all.
During breakfast, Rong Mian still felt very guilty, to the extent that he only ate five slices of his favorite fried bacon.
Rong Mian said, “I’m sorry, I couldn’t control myself at that time.”
“But you can’t suck on my belly like that.”
Rong Mian explained softly, “My belly is very sensitive. I only said you could touch it, and you didn’t even greet me. How can you just kiss directly…”
Zhong Yi’s mood was also a bit complicated.
“Because this is the first time I’ve been so close to a cat, I got carried away all of a sudden, couldn’t hold back.”
Zhong Yi sighed apologetically, “Next time, I will be more aware of boundaries. I’m sorry.”
Zhongyi’s sincere apology made Rong Mian feel a little embarrassed instead.
“It’s okay, you can still kiss my belly next time.”
Then Zhong Yi heard Rong Mian say, “I really like it when you kiss me.”
Zhong Yi felt like his heart couldn’t beat anymore.
He didn’t understand why he couldn’t stop himself yesterday, but he knew that the moment he touched Rong Mian’s soft belly, his soul seemed to drift away with it.
This fragrant and soft little kitty, with such a small body, was like a tremendously powerful magnet. Zhong Yi’s face involuntarily leaned in, and then he couldn’t hold back anymore.
After kissing twice, Zhong Yi almost wished he could sew his own face onto Rong Mian’s body.
He even felt that if he could kiss Rong Mian’s belly again in the future, a few scratches wouldn’t be a big deal. At the same time, he felt a bit regretful because he hadn’t had the chance to touch Rong Mian’s tail yesterday.
That fluffy and beautiful… Zhong Yi sighed.
Meanwhile, Rong Mian secretly ate a slice of bacon.
“Uncle Yun is very busy these days, so tonight I have to go back to the cat cafe to help him with some things.”
Rong Mian put down the fork and thought for a moment, then extended an invitation to Zhong Yi, “Would you like to come with me? My friends are all very nice, and I want them to meet you too.”
Now that he had such a good partner, Rong Mian definitely wanted to show them off to everyone.
Zhong Yi paused for a moment.
“Do all the cats in your cafe have the same situation as you?”
Zhong Yi carefully chose his words, “I mean… can all of you turn into humans?”
Rong Mian nodded.
“Sandou is a Shiba Inu, Sigua and Wukui is a Ragdoll,”
Rong Mian said, “Pijiu is Garfield, Doujiao is a American Shorthair…”
Rong Mian earnestly listed the names of more than ten cats to Zhong Yi. Zhong Yi couldn’t help but ask, “Do you all live together?”
“Yeah, there are many pumpkin nests and soft cushions in the shop for us to sleep on. Uncle Yun even has his own hammock,” Rong Mian explained seriously.
“When we’re at the cat café, most of us sleep in our cat forms, so it doesn’t take up much space.”
“Only some mischievous cats or those who steal other people’s food are kept in small cages by Uncle Yun,” Rong Mian said.
Although there was no evidence, Zhong Yi had a feeling that the cat Rong Mian mentioned as the one who steals food from others was probably himself.
Zhong Yi finished work a little later, and they probably left together around nine in the evening. After Zhong Yi parked the car, Rong Mian led the way in front and took Zhong Yi to a small alley.
Finally, they stopped in front of a small shop. The lights were on inside, and a small wooden sign was hanging on the door, revealing the “Closed for Business” side.
Rong Mian pushed the door open confidently, and Zhong Yi hesitated for a moment before following him inside.
The cat café was decorated simply and warmly. The shop was not small, and there was a small blackboard at the entrance with instant photos of various little cats, neatly arranged according to the staff categories.
There was a section called “Today’s Staff” with a row of photos of little cats attached to it. There was another section called “Today’s Menu” with simple chalk drawings of coffee and cake, and a few bold words indicating the springtime specials.
There was also a section labelled “Staff on Long-term Leave,” but only one polaroid was attached to it.
When Zhong Yi took a closer look, he found a photo of a grinning silly Shiba Inu and a black kitten standing side by side at the entrance of the cat café.
He paused for a moment, then quickly realized that it must be a photo of Rong Mian and Kong Sandou.
Seeing Zhong Yi staring at the photo for a long time, Rong Mian explained, “Because Sandou’s schedule overlaps with mine a lot, Uncle Yun took a photo of us together.”
Perhaps because the wind chime made a sound when the door was opened earlier, a chubby Garfield came out from inside the cat café. When it saw Rong Mian, it happily meowed at him a few times.
Before Zhong Yi could react, Rong Mian nodded toward the Garfield and asked, “Is Uncle Yun here?”
The Garfield meowed again, and Rong Mian acknowledged with an “Oh” and said, “Alright, I’ll go in and help him in a moment.”
He turned around and introduced to Zhong Yi, “This is Pi Jiu. Before he gained eight pounds, he was just as good as me at catching flies.”
Zhong Yi hesitated for a moment, about to greet the Garfield with a “hello” as well, when two silver-haired, blue-eyed little boys walked out from inside the cat café.
They looked remarkably similar, but from Zhong Yi’s observation, it seemed like they were arguing with each other.
One person is saying, “It’s impossible! I clearly cleaned the kitchen floor this afternoon, you can’t just accuse me without evidence.” The other person, however, says, “You’re lying! I clearly saw you sneaking a peek at the TV by the door this afternoon.”
When they both saw the two individuals at the door, they fell into a synchronized silence for a moment. Then, their gazes slowly shifted in unison until they landed on Zhong Yi’s face.
“These are Guo Sigua and Guo Wukui, they are twins,” Rong Mian introduced. “They always argue and cause trouble, so they often get put into confinement by Uncle Yun.”
Zhong Yi replied, “…I can tell.”
“I know him!”
One of the little boys suddenly realized, pointing at Zhong Yi with a proud expression.
“He’s the person from the watch advertisement on the opposite mall!”
Guo Sigua thought for a while and continued to add, “And it’s the person from the car commercial and the one who sang off-key in last year’s Spring Festival Gala. Guo Wukui, I told you, your memory is not as good as mine.”
The two boys began another round of childish banter, while Rong Mian seemed accustomed to such scenes. He continued his bilingual conversation with Pijiu by his feet, leaving Zhong Yi struggling to find the right words to say.
The other little boy was not one to back down either. He turned his head, continued to stare at Zhong Yi’s face for a minute, and then showed a look of sudden realization.
“I remember it too!”
Guo Wukui proudly clapped his hands and pointed at Zhong Yi, asking loudly, “You’re the person Uncle Yun mentioned, the one who wants to mate with Rong Mian, right?”
