The Nutrition is Too Good - Chap 6
Zhong Yi had been staring at the butterfly in the mineral water bottle for half an hour.
It wasn’t that Rong Mian couldn’t catch three butterflies, but rather that he was too precise and fast. Zhong Yi was afraid that he would eventually catch all the butterflies in this area, leading to their extinction. In the end, he managed to stop him.
Zhong Yi had never seen anyone catch bugs so skillfully and swiftly. With his keen eyesight and quick hands, Zhong Yi thought that even if this kid didn’t make it as an actor, he could become a bodyguard or something and still make a living.
In the end, Zhong Yi kept one butterfly and released the others. Before the filming started, he asked Xu Youyou to find a mineral water bottle and put the butterfly inside, making two small holes in the bottle for ventilation.
“Zhong Ge, I heard rumors about Shi Cheng joining the crew. It’s almost certain.”
While in the car, Xu Youyou said, “If it’s true, he’ll probably join the crew in two weeks at most. You… should be mentally prepared.”
Zhong Yi didn’t say anything. He simply lifted the mineral water bottle and, using the dim light from the street lamp, admired the black-brown spots on the butterfly’s body for a while.
“With his acting skills, even if he played a radish in the mud, the worms in the ground would have objections,” Zhong Yi said after a while. “Is Liu Yuanfeng really willing to let him ruin his hard work?”
His words were sharp. Every time he came up with such shocking and vulgar metaphors, Xu Youyou would be left speechless.
“…So the role they gave him is at most a minor supporting one.”
Xu Youyou sighed, “Their team has methods, and besides, his face carries too much significance. It’s obvious that he is Shi Lianqing’s son, with inherent attention-grabbing qualities… This isn’t something Liu Yuanfeng alone can decide.”
The butterfly quietly rested on the wall of the bottle, its wings gently fluttering.
“Beautiful,” Zhong Yi said.
Xu Youyou couldn’t determine whether he was complimenting the butterfly’s appearance or being sarcastic. She could only anxiously rub her hands and remain silent.
Fortunately, Zhong Yi seemed to be in a good mood today. He simply observed the butterfly for a while longer without saying much. Xu Youyou secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
“Let’s release it later,” he handed the bottle to Xu Youyou, saying, “Spring is coming, it’s a good time to spread pollen.”
Thinking of something that put him in a good mood, Zhong Yi’s expression unexpectedly softened.
Xu Youyou hesitated for a moment and agreed.
So she, who grew up in the countryside, struggled for a while but still didn’t dare to tell Zhong Yi that this was actually just an ordinary Cabbage White butterfly, and moreover, it was a crop-eating pest.
While Rong Mian was flipping through the script, Kong Sandou wiped her nose for the third time within these five minutes, and this time it made a thunderous sound.
So Rong Mian paused and closed the script.
“Sandou,” Rong Mian said, “stop crying.”
When he didn’t speak, it was fine, but as soon as he spoke, Kong Sandou’s eyes filled up with tears again.
“If you continue like this, will you die…?” Kong Sandou sobbed, covering her head, starting another round of wailing. “What should I do? Every time you eat the food I make, you eat very little. Actually, I can make meat for your every meal.”
“But if the human form only eats meat, it really can make you sick…”
Kong Sandou trembled and choked, “I used to be like this. After a while, painful sores will appear inside your mouth, and your hair will start falling easily. What should I do? I haven’t taken care of you properly…”
Dog’s thoughts were simple and straightforward, at least within Kong Sandou’s understanding. If the food isn’t good, one would die.
She howled loudly, feeling somewhat at a loss.
“Shooting a film requires a long time in maintaining human form, so it can be a bit tiring.”
Awkwardly, Rong Mian tried to comfort her, “Humans all experience these symptoms; it’s just a little dizziness.”
“Don’t cry, the food you cooked is delicious.”
“But last time when we shot the web drama, you, you didn’t lose so much weight…”
Kong Sandou choked and said, “If you ask me, you shouldn’t have come this time. Why do you have to act? Wouldn’t it be happier to continue staying with everyone every day?”
Rong Mian shook his head.
“I want to earn more money.”
Rong Mian said, “So I have to act harder, and I enjoy acting.”
Kong Sandou couldn’t say anything, just looked at him with red eyes and sniffled.
“With the money, I can buy you the necklace you really like.”
Rong Mian paused, looking at her seriously, “And we can buy a bigger house for everyone to live in, eat higher-quality food. Uncle Yun will also be very happy.”
Kong Sandou stayed silent for a while, then she made a sound of agreement and nodded vigorously.
She started to get tangled up in her own thoughts again, “So, what should we buy? How about a yacht? I really want to see the sea, but there’s no sea in City C, only mountains…”
Watching her regain her cheerful demeanour, Rong Mian silently breathed a sigh of relief.
He lowered his head, rubbed his eyes, stayed still for a moment, then secretly yawned.
In fact, Rong Mian hadn’t been sleeping well these past few days. The understanding abilities of humans and animals are different, and in order to not reveal any flaws during acting, he spent a lot of time and energy just researching and understanding the script.
And the food that Kong Sandou made… it was quite dark. She did pay attention to balanced nutrition, but the proportion of vegetables was too high, and she always seasoned them with soy sauce and salt after boiling.
Rong Mian felt a little embarrassed because Kong Sandou was already trying her best, and her expressions were always hopeful. But Rong Mian really couldn’t swallow it.
So, before shooting this morning, Rong Mian used the excuse of reading the script to avoid the bell pepper and onion sandwich she made and successfully obtained a low blood sugar limited-time experience card on set.
“Maybe you should transform back to your original form first. How can you keep going like this?”
Kong Sandou also noticed his fatigue and said worriedly, “I… I’ll go find a blanket for you. You should rest for a while.”
Rong Mian shook his head, “I’m going to find Liu Yuanfeng to discuss a scene, and you…”
“I’ll go talk to him and have him come directly to you later!”
Kong Sandou suddenly stood up, feeling energized, “You just go to sleep now. Don’t worry, he probably won’t refuse you.”
Rong Mian: “But-“
“Anyway, those guinea pigs are naturally terrified of you.” Kong Sandou said.
As soon as Zhong Yi arrived on set, he saw Shen Yan smiling at him from not far away, beckoning him with her hand and handing him a bag of something quite heavy.
He opened the bag and saw a bowl of hot Eight-Treasure Congee.
While it was a pleasant surprise, her actions brought more fear to Zhong Yi. Sure enough, Shen Yan came straight to the point in the next second and said, “Send it to Rong Mian.”
Zhong Yi: “…”
“You also know that Liu Yuanfeng started shooting after five o’clock today just to capture the morning light.”
Shen Yan said, “It turned out that kid, Rong Mian, had a bit of hypoglycemia. He couldn’t stand it in the middle and fell down.”
Zhong Yi was taken aback.
“But in the end, it seems like nothing major happened.”
Shen Yan said, “From what I saw, her assistant seemed a bit startled.
“My assistant is not here, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to directly deliver this porridge to him. Can you take it to him on my behalf?”
Zhong Yi pondered for a moment and agreed.
Hypoglycemia.
Zhong Yi contemplated and remembered how Rong Mian, in the past, was very picky and didn’t eat anything at dinner gatherings. He also remembered the box of leftover rice from the day before yesterday. His feelings were a bit complicated, as he felt the child might not be able to drink the porridge.
Shen Yan said that Rong Mian was resting in the temporary lounge, and Zhong Yi hesitated.
He didn’t have a deep relationship with Rong Mian, and their positions could be considered worlds apart. Moreover, the child seemed to have a slightly different opinion of him. Zhong Yi could have easily asked Xu Youyou to deliver it instead.
But as he carried the porridge, he absentmindedly walked for a while and when he raised his head, he realized that if he turned another corner, he would be at the door of the lounge.
Zhong Yi clicked his tongue and had no choice but to turn another corner, only to see Liu Yuanfeng sneakily pushing the door open and walking out.
It was early spring, and the hallway was still chilly. Zhong Yi felt his hands getting cold even with a jacket on, while Liu Yuanfeng wiped the sweat off his forehead and nervously closed the door.
Liu Yuanfeng was in such a rush that he didn’t even notice Zhong Yi at the other end of the corridor. He quickly turned and disappeared from sight with his round body.
Zhong Yi: “…?”
After contemplating for a while, Zhong Yi still walked to the door of the lounge. He glanced at the porridge in his hand, hesitating whether to knock on the door.
However, Liu Yuanfeng left in a hurry just now, and the door wasn’t fully closed. Zhong Yi took a closer look and could vaguely see the curtains in the lounge being pulled shut. His eyes dropped hesitantly, and his pupils suddenly shrank.
Because he noticed a shirt scattered on the floor.
Through the crack in the door, Zhong Yi’s gaze slowly moved upward and he saw a slightly curled, fair and beautiful foot peeking out from the blanket on the sofa.
Then he saw the boy’s naked upper body, along with a beautiful spine. Rong Mian slowly sat up from the sofa, and the blanket silently slipped down to his waist. As it descended further, it revealed a small ambiguous and intriguing shadow.
The dark orange sunlight seeped into the room through the gap in the curtains, casting a warm light on Rong Mian’s side face and eyelashes, making his cheeks appear slightly flushed.
He was half-naked, lazily leaning against the sofa, his eyes filled with a beautiful, tired, watery gaze.
He seemed a bit perplexed, and it was unclear whether it was due to the dim lighting, but Rong Mian’s eyes no longer appeared their usual dark brown color. Instead, they had a faint, bright amber colour.
In the next moment, Rong Mian turned his face and looked towards the door with a sense of surprise.

Zhong Yi: Ha.
There are two black holes in this story, namely Zhong 1’s brain hole and Mian Bao’s stomach.
