GuQingPei fiercely yanked up YuanYang’s collar and shoved him against the wall, “What did you actually do? YuanYang, if you trapped me into being a heartless and dishonorable person, I will never forgive you for the rest of my life.”
YuanYang smirked, “Don’t worry, I’ve already said that it doesn’t matter to you. You just need to continue to be missing. I just think that since my dad wanted it; WangJin also wanted it and even you are trying so hard to get it, it must be something good.” YuanYang touched GuQingPei’s cheeks, “So, I also want it.”
“The opening bids are already over. Even though the report may not actually be filed, with WangJin’s abilities, he will certainly stop the investigation. By the fourth day of his confinement in the villa, GuQingPei became even more and more agitated.

That day after YuanYang left, two unfamiliar burly men stayed in the house. They didn’t speak to him, but stared at him from the time he came downstairs till the time he went back upstairs.
The feeling of being under house arrest made GuQingPei’s flames of fury incessantly rise.
GuQingPei forced himself to calm his heart so his mind can cool down to think of a way. To confront YuanYang, using force would certainly not be benefiting to himself. It is obvious that YuanYang is paranoid right now. What can he do to convince YuanYang to let him go?

When YuanYang came back at night, the two burly men left. GuQingPei sat in the living room waiting for him.
YuanYang looked at his watch and even smiled; this is a genuine smile like that of their former days, “Are you waiting for me?”
“Yeah, I want to have a chat with you.”
It was then that YuanYang realized that GuQingPei was wearing the suit that he came in and not his pajamas. His heart sank and the smile on his face disappeared. He walked over and put the things in his hands on the table, “I bought carry-out for you. It’s the soup that you like. Come eat a bit otherwise the rice noodles will soak up all the soup.”
GuQingPei didn’t even look at it, “Come sit.”
YuanYang expressionlessly sat down, “Whatever you’re going to say, I’m not going to let you go.”
GuQingPei suppressed his anger and replied, “YuanYang, do you understand what kind of person I am?”
YuanYang is slightly surprised.
“I’m a perfectionist. I’m determined to do well in everything. I won’t admit defeat and I hate having to submit to people. My demands to myself have always been harsher than for others. I hate failure.” GuQingPei quietly looked into YuanYang’s eyes, “WangJin and I, there is no love affair between us, only trust and responsibility between a boss and an employee. I don’t care whether you can understand this or not. When I was going through a low point in my life, it is WangJin who helped me and pull me up, allowing me to take charge of my career. Not only so, but in a way that gave me immediate success. It allowed me to find myself again. I am very grateful to him. With this opening bid project, I led a group a young people working tirelessly for over half a month…this was not just to repay WangJin, but more importantly, for myself. I want to vie for some vindication from your father. But now, you want to throw all my efforts into the mud. YuanYang, why do you have to do this?”
YuanYang lowered his head. His somber voice sounded in the empty living room, “I can’t bear to seeing you and WangJin standing together. The better you perform, the more he covets you. Seeing that he treats you so well in every way, you want me to endure that? I’ve never been a tolerant person.”
“Even if it was for me?” GuQingPei looked at him, “You said that you’d be this and be that for me, but you can’t even just be a tiniest bit open-minded for me.”
YuanYang stared at him, “It’s too late. If I don’t teach WangJin a lesson, how would he know that there is something that he couldn’t touch? I know that you can speak eloquently, but even if you continue to say more, it won’t matter. You want to leave, wait until this matter is over with.”
GuQingPei secretly shook his fist, “As long as you let me go back and take care of things, I can resign from WangJin’s company. I can’t start something and not finish it. And I certainly can’t throw this mess to my subordinates. I must go back.”
YuanYang looked blankly at him, “I’ve said, it’s too late. Letting you go back, you will go against me. I will definitely push this matter for X Steel Group to do the standard process. I need them to restart the opening bids. Not only that, but for my dad and WangJin to be eliminated from participating.”
GuQingPei’s face is distorted by his anger.
YuanYang suddenly smiled bitterly, “Why are you getting so angry? If you’re just devoted to me, after winning the bid, my project is your project. What’s the difference between you being at WangJin’s company? Unless, you don’t want to leave WangJin…don’t want to leave the title of Vice President.”

YuanYang did not refute any of that.
GuQingPei glared at him, then furiously grabbed the glass ashtray on the table and ruthlessly smashed it onto YuanYang’s head.
YuanYang’s sight darkened. Even though his reactionary nerves were fast enough to see GuQingPei actions, he didn’t evade it. With a loud noise, YuanYang fell to the ground from the couch, blood trickling down alongside his forehead.
GuQingPei’s hand that was gripping the ashtray shook violently. He had really gone crazy. For a long time, his brain lacked oxygen. Seeing YuanYang on the ground, he was shocked and in a daze, unable perceive the scene in front of him.
YuanYang’s mind is hazy and his forehead hurt, but a certain part in his body is in even more pain. He wiped the blood from his eyes and looked at GuQingPei silently, “Done unleashing your anger? If not…continue.”
GuQingPei took two steps forward and threw the ashtray on the ground. Then, he grabbed the car key on the coffee table and rushed to the door.
YuanYang forcefully swung his dizzy, wounded head.
