You! Don’t Press that Button! - Chap 36
With a light exhale, he opened his mouth as if to embrace the heat as his own. He bit down thickly with his plump lips and scanned. He reached for Asmil’s thigh and buttoned as if grasping for support. Using only his face like a dog, he raised his head. His reflection in the swirling red eyes wavered.
When their gazes tangled, someone knocked on the door. Tap, tap, the sound signaling someone’s arrival released Asdion’s legs from their grip and the face buried in the center also backed away. Asmil shifted his posture to look at the door.
“Come in.”
The person waiting in front of the door opened it and peeked inside only after permission was granted.
“Young Master, the Count has returned.”
“My father? Tell him I’ll be out soon.”
“Yes, understood.”
The servant left, and the door closed. Asmil spoke as if he was disappointed, bending his eyebrows.
“My stepfather is back. Regrettably, let’s pass for today.”
He gently stroked the red hair between his legs with his hand. Then, he grabbed Asdion’s chin, making him look up, and lowered his head. He exhaled hot breath at a distance where his approaching lips almost touched. Secretly squinting his eyes, he smiled and pressed his lips.
Asdion, who opened his mouth as if to devour the softly touching flesh, aggressively thrust his tongue in, unable to hide his regret. The sound of tongues entwining and thick saliva mixing was particularly loud in the quiet room.
Asdion stretched out his hand, grasped the nearby table, and straightened his posture. He instantly stood up, claiming the top position, and exuded his desire to the platinum-haired owner. He tried to wrap his arms around Asmil’s neck, pulling him close to fill the gap between them, but Asmil pushed his chest, creating distance.
As the fiercely pushing lips separated, the saliva that had been entangled like thin threads stretched out thickly and broke. Rough breathing filled with excitement could be heard.
“Let’s stop for today.”
Asmil stood up from his seat with a playful smile. Disappointment swirled in Asdion’s yellow eyes, but he didn’t deliberately express it out loud. Because what his master wanted, he wanted as well. Asmil, who had licked his touched lips, left Asdion standing and neatly pushed the chair he had been sitting on under the table.
“…Master. That son of the viscount came looking for you.”
“Son?”
Asmil furrowed his brows. The viscount’s son? Who was it again? He pondered the list of people in his mind and briefly recalled one person. There was a fellow who seemed out of his mind. The guy who was busy buying drugs and sex with the few coins the viscount gave him.
Later on, he even followed what the viscount did.
“Is he still not dead?”
“Yes. He wasn’t even arrested, as he seemed to have taken shelter somewhere.”
“Hmm… But why him?”
“He made a scene at the main gate, claiming he remembered us from somewhere.”
Aha. Upon hearing the story, Asmil rubbed his lips with his thumb and index finger. If he kept making a fuss like that, it could become a bit annoying. Of course, even if he did, it wasn’t a dangerous matter at all.
“It seems like there might be a problem later. What should we do?”
“Just give him some money.”
Money must be his goal. Asmil didn’t say more, as it was a person he had no interest in at all. Knowing his personality, Asdion also didn’t bring up this topic any further. Instead, he took out a robe hanging on the hanger and draped it over Asmil’s shoulders.
“I need to go and play the role of a good son for a bit.”
Asmil opened the door and left, wearing a smile that was more transparent than usual.
🐤
The place Karhan arrived with a face full of worry, bringing me along, was an unfamiliar mansion. He had wrapped me tightly in a blanket out of concern and rode the carriage, but since it was a bumpy dirt road instead of a paved one, my dizzy head’s symptoms worsened.
“Are you alright? Just endure a little more. Soon…”
“St-stop…”
Don’t shake me. I feel like I’m going to die because of you. Even after finally getting out of the carriage, my whole body shook with each step Karhan took.
Tears rolled down my face. Then, as he gently rocked me to soothe me, my stomach felt even more nauseous. I was at the point where I wanted to give up on everything and close my eyes. However, I couldn’t do it because I saw Karhan’s face filled with concern and worry for me.
“Ugh.”
With a slight sense of revenge, I curled up my body and dry heaved against Karhan’s chest. Worried that vomit might come out and block my throat, Karhan lifted my upper body.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. Judging from the high ceiling, luxurious chandelier, large windows, and magnificent paintings on the walls, it seemed to be a reception room of some noble family.
Karhan sat on the sofa, holding me, who was tightly wrapped in a blanket like a gimbap, without putting me down separately. On the sofa was Karhan, and on top of Karhan was me.
The way he patted my bottom with his hand felt like he was soothing a sick baby or animal. Even in the midst of pain, a faint smile naturally formed at his affectionate touch.
After waiting for a few minutes, the sound of someone running hurriedly was heard outside the room. It seemed they were running well until a thudding sound was heard, and the footsteps stopped. They must have fallen. I didn’t know who it was, but they seemed quite clumsy. The sound subsided for a moment, and the door opened cautiously.
“Karhan?”
An androgynous voice, neither high nor low, was heard. The person who opened the door and entered slowly walked towards us, seated on the sofa.
“Lord Liras.”
His name seemed to be Liras. Hearing Karhan’s honorifics, which I heard for the first time, made me curious about the man’s identity in front of us. I thought he would sit across from us, but he came right in front of us, casting a shadow on my face. Through my narrowly opened eyes, something green flickered.
Passing through the glass beads on the bridge of his nose, I could see his distinct green eyes looking down at me. His dark green hair and eyes, tied into a single long ponytail, made him appear neat.
I met his eyes as he slowly examined me. And in an instant, startled by his pupils narrowing like a crocodile’s, I wriggled like a fish that had come out to the shore.
“E-Eyes!”
“Shh, it’s alright.”
No, not that, eyes! Eyes! Just now, they turned really scary! I was tightly wrapped in the blanket, unable to move my hands or feet freely. The fact that a person’s pupils could change into slits in an instant felt psychologically repulsive. As I trembled and looked at him, he furrowed his brows.
Gasp! He must have been offended! If someone saw my face right now, it would be evident that I had turned deathly pale. Unable to avert my eyes due to fear, I continued staring at him, and his eyes narrowed coldly. As the sound of my pounding heart filled my ears, Liras quickly raised both hands.
“Rawr!”
“Eek!”
I jumped once more at the unexpected attack. I bit my tongue while abruptly inhaling. Ugh, I let out a small groan and stuck out my tongue. The part I had bitten felt swollen and thick.
The man called Liras eventually said to Karhan, asking what he was doing, treating me like a child. He laughed, saying he was sorry, and scratched his head. Laughing? While still groaning in Karhan’s arms, I sent a reproachful gaze. Noticing my fervent support, he reached out and ruffled my hair.
“You’re quite hot. For now, let’s lay you down here. And untie that crude blanket.”
At the word “crude,” Karhan’s hand, which had been patting my bottom, flinched and stopped. Was he shocked? But the term “crude” was fitting. I was tightly wrapped in a thick blanket, unable to move at all.
Karhan untied the blanket with an awkward face and laid me down on the sofa. He didn’t forget to bring a fluffy cushion to support my head.
Lying in a comfortable position, my stomach, which had been constantly churning, felt a bit more at ease. I should have asked to do this from the beginning. As I obediently closed my eyes, a cold hand touched my forehead and then moved down to my cheek. My body was hot, so my head involuntarily followed that cold hand. I hoped the fever would go down quickly.
“What a curious child. It might be a bit uncomfortable, but please bear with it.”
With my eyes closed, I had no idea what was happening. Curiosity briefly raised its head, but it was too difficult to open my eyes any further, so I just entrusted my body. Surely nothing strange would happen with Karhan here.
Through my thin eyelids, I could sense light to some extent, allowing me to notice something approaching in front of me. Soon, that something touched my forehead with a light tap. Feeling breath on my face and hair brushing against my cheeks, it seemed that what touched my forehead was Liras’ face.
Upon contact with him, the burning heat inside my body instantly cooled down as if a bucket of ice had been poured over me. However, as soon as he pulled away, it started boiling again from my head, as if it had been an illusion. Having tasted a sweet snack through that brief respite, I became even more agonized.
“Karhan…”
Groaning in a voice that sounded like I was dying, I called out to Karhan. Then, I felt a reassuring hand firmly grasping mine. It must be Karhan.
“Why are you holding it?”
“Just because.”
It wasn’t Karhan. This crazy person…
I no longer had the capacity to feel exasperated. I was in so much pain, and this person named Liras seemed busy teasing me. I wanted to get angry, but lacking the energy to do so, I felt like I would burst into tears.
Am I the only one who finds this situation strange? With my mind filled with the thought of just wanting to fall asleep, the hand that had been holding mine let go, and someone stroked my head.
“You endured well for a long time. It would be best to close your eyes now.”
With those words, my mind grew hazy, and the throbbing and dizzying head that had been preventing me from sleeping magically subsided. As the persistent pain disappeared, sweet, deep sleep instantly found me.
